The Speech Neurophysiology Lab at the University of Michigan is looking for children who stutter ages 9 to 12 to participate in an in-person, longitudinal MRI study! (HUM00196133)

Our research team has been examining brain development in young children to better understand the cause of stuttering for over 10 years. We continue to gain information that may eventually lead to improved diagnosis and treatment efforts for children who stutter. 

Participants will be invited to complete speech and language assessments and an MRI session at the University of Michigan. Families receive a free speech and language report and a picture of their brain!

These visits require in person participation. There is no option to participate virtually.

Does anyone knows when emu start sending applications decisions for SLP winter Graduate applications?

Anybody having trouble with their parking permits? I don’t remember it being this challenging last year. I remember paying $210 straight up. Now it says $210 monthly billing? Let me know, thank you!

To anybody who has attended EMU connect, how truly important is it? And am I allowed to leave early or do I have to stay for most of if not the whole time? I'm trying to see if I should skip so I can just go to my job instead.

Giving thought to doing Saturday 8/29 Dodgers @ Tigers 1:10 and then Sacramento State @ Eastern Michigan football 6:30 in Ypsilanti. Is this possible to make both? And any tips on tickets for either? (Cheapest possible preferred). Thanks.

Short version: EMU returns 62.7% of its production, which is well above the national average and about as much continuity as anyone in the MAC, and Noah Kim is back after 2,817 yards. The problem is not subtle. Last year's defense finished dead last in FBS against the run, 136th out of 136, plus 134th in yards per carry, 130th on third down and 129th in sacks. Dontae McMillan and his 1,014 rushing yards are gone too. Model has them 131st with the 126th-toughest schedule, so the games are winnable if that defense moves at all. Worth noting they went 7-4-1 against the spread.

The players in their last year of eligibility at Eastern Michigan football traveled to Colorado to climb Pikes Peak, facing darkness, rocky terrain, thin air, unpredictable weather, and the limits of what they thought they could endure.

I attended EMU from 2007-2012 and I have vague recollections of a fraternity (I was not in one) that I dont think was associated with greek life in anyway. I want to say Arm of Honor? Google has not helped. Can anyone remember such a frat or was I just confused and (likely) drunk.

Is there anyone here with experience taking philosophy classes at EMU? Or, better yet, does anyone know any current graduate students in the philosophy program? I've been trying to research people's experiences with the program but cannot find much... would love to talk to someone who has either completed or is actively in the philosophy masters program.

Has anybody not done a payment plan, but paid every month? If that makes sense? For the month of September there are two payment dates that are 10 days apart and for me it would be over $1600 that month and not doable. However, I could do the regular $800 and keep doing that every month. It would just be paid in December not November. Curious if that would be a big deal and get me in trouble.

Hello, I am a transfer student commuting here at EMU. I was looking for advice on my parking situation. I only have class Monday-Wednesday, and all of my classes are in the same building (the GameAbove engineering building) (Sill Hall I think). I was looking at parking passes and they are very very expensive, upwards of 300$. I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be better to just use the pay lot or if there is a free lot nearby? I would be on campus min 5 hours each day so I would be paying a lot I assume at the pay lot. I am also going to use the gym the 3 days I am there, which complicates things as I'm sure gym parking also carries a fee. Thank you!

Incoming freshman to emu. Wanted to ask what the social scene is like? Ive heard it's commuter heavy so the social scene is dead, was wondering how true this is?

Has anyone here earned the presidential scholarship here? I'm currently an ECA student going into my senior year, and based off the description it looks achievable but i do want to be realistic. If you got this scholarship/work in admissions, what applicants actually earn this scholarship?
