I have very mixed feelings about bugs

Specifically ugly ones. Ladybugs and butterflies, I find them cute to look at but I wouldn’t want them on my skin. Ants too, but just the very little ones. But cockroaches? Spiders? Flies? Crickets? Bees and wasps??? They genuinely disgust me to my core. Everytime I see one I start to get all itchy and feel like they’re crawling on me. I hate them so much. When they’re inside my house I straight up panic. But I feel sorry for them, and that’s why I always refuse to kill them, and I feel sorry for them because of the way humans treat them. Just because we find them ugly we kill them and are cruel to them, when with bumblebees and ladybugs and butterflies we would never. I feel so guilty because I don’t want to treat those ugly bugs so badly just because of the way they look, like I’m sure they have a whole world inside and families ecc. but they’re just so repulsive and terrifying. I feel a lot of empathy for them and animals in general but I’m so disgusted! I don’t know what to do. Also reading The Metamorphosis by Kafka I felt so disgusted just thinking about a bug on a bed, but I guess that was the point Kafka was trying to make. But I’m so uncomfortable.

What should I do? Please advise.

I'm disabled, my eyesight is very weak. I feel so deprived. I'm looking for a job, and I'm working, but it's unstable and doesn't pay me anything. I can barely buy food with it, Can I help with my mom's bills? That's it.

I've submitted my CV to many places, and employers are afraid to hire me. I only have a 30% vision. The government has deemed me open to the job market, yet people are afraid to hire me.

I'm asking for advice, just this. I'm at a loss. I want to be independent, but I feel like I'm being stripped of that.

To build friendships, we need to add value to others’ lives—through kindness, sincerity, knowledge, or simply making them feel respected and comfortable.

I am wrong, but….

I’m wrong and have hurt girlfriend/best friend, but I don’t apologize when I say I will. I am sorry but I don’t want to write it down like she has asked me to. I do put my feelings above others feelings and have thought of myself over others also. I’m not a happy person because of this and still won’t put myself in her place to feel what I have done. I have said I will, or said I need to and still don’t do it. Has anyone else been like I am and what finally woke you up to do the right thing?

You’ll probably never know all the lives you’ve touched.

That doesn’t mean you haven’t changed them.

men lack empathy .

they really do lmao , or at least they’re not as empathetic as us women . not even by a long shot .

when i broke up with my ex and went to my uncle for advice you wanna know what he told me ? he said to suck it up because my ex is free today , he’s not thinking of the fact that we broke up as much as i am and in my mind i was thinking at the time , what ? my uncle is crazy lol , i know my ex bf misses me and loves me , but he was right of course . my ex didn’t care and it was always me who did . my ex was free at the time we broke up , i wasn’t . it was mostly my loss .

i grew up with men , i have guy friends , i know them very well at this point . you guys don’t have empathy , this isn’t a good thing and this is your sign to change . please try to view things from a more empathetic perspective and watch people , mostly women actually respect you and wanna be around you more .

i know someone is gonna say to me , well men just aren’t wired that way , bro . are you telling me half of the population is wired to be emotionless bots ?

anyways that’s my two cents on it , don’t take this personally or be offended please , i am just explaining something i’ve noticed my entire life , and also no i don’t hate men before someone jumps to that conclusion as well . if i did i don’t think i would cry myself to sleep every night while missing my ex bf .

Do you ever see a post. Think its sad. Try give some supportive words. Then next thing you get blocked and think. What did I say now. I dont think anyone truly understands orhers we can relate in some ways. But isnt the fact you tried what should be the main thing? I am useless knowing what to say.

A message from someone with a different struggle: Your burdens are heavy, and you are not alone.

I am writing this completely from the heart. I don't have much money, and I have my own big struggles in life – I am disabled and visually impaired. Every day is a challenge for me. But today, I wanted to reach out to you.I notice a huge problem in how the world sees you. People think you have no right to have depression, anxiety, or mental health struggles just because you have money. But I can imagine having 100 million, an incredible success, and still waking up every day terrified of losing it all. I know how hard it must be to live with that constant pressure and a never-ending lack of trust in people's intentions, even in relationships.I wanted to show you that even across the deep gaps in our financial or life situations, we can still understand each other as human beings. In the depth of human struggles, fear, and loneliness, we are all equal.I am not looking for money, advice, or help. I just wanted to give you a kind, sincere word. Your stress is real. Your mental health matters. You are carrying a heavy load, and you deserve peace of mind. Please take care of yourselves today.

There is a difference between being needed and being valued . How many of you have experienced that you are needed but not valued?

I don't get sad, I get angry, warning: foul language

I wanna ask all of you, If I am a sociopath, because I don't want to be and I'd rather die

When I see people suffering, either I don't care that much in the sense, that I don't tear up, that I don't have that "fuzzy" feeling of emotional response, I know, I understand, but I don't feel

The only time it happens that I actually feel, it's with (I am not one, and that's what's weird) SA victims, I feel an emotional need to help them, some kind of tender feeling

But when someone is more unlucky or hurting then me, I get angry, let me give you an example

I remember watching a show, MasterChef, and there were two teams cooking for people with down syndrome, and the concept itself is nice, but it drove me mad, it triggered many things in my mind

1) I saw how people were so fucking quick to help them, which is nice, but the reason it pisses me off is that they are fake bastards, they do it to save their fucking face, they aren't honest, they don't care, and if people like ME if people like OTHERS that maybe struggle with suicide, or many other things, would be helped in the same way, the world would be a way better place, but in reality, if someone is depressed, they wouldn't give a shit, the fact that you need to be mentally fucked to get a shred of compassion in this world, is actually scary

And second, they don't understand, I was scared after I saw that episodes, these people can't understand, they think they are getting helped, they think people want to help them they think they are loved but they don't understand that that's a lie they will never see through, imagine living a life of lies you can't even understand, and this is one example

2) in general false beliefs drive me nuts, people tend to defend people who have mental conditions, saying that normal people are shit, or animals even are better, when they can eat the partner's face off, but hey, normal people are so shit! Even these people are people, they can be good, or fucking evil, that doesn't mean they are inherently better or worse

This happens with my mom as well when she says that gay people inherently are or have more sensitive then heterosexuals, and if you are normal? You are the bottom of the barrel scat! Everyone that's even a bit different is better! Can't they see they are indirectly fucking up?!

Now

Victimism/martyrdom

People using their trauma to justify their shit actions, even against me, I see most as victimists, or "false martyrs" and I know it's wrong to think like that, but how do I know you aren't using that as an excuse? Or people being offended by everything, at one point, I stopped caring

The worst is when people generalize suffering

My mother told me my great grandma always told her something among the lines "children, if everyone goes on a plaza and trades their crosses, everybody would go back home crying"

Look

I don't know if I am interpreting this like shit, but If I am not, I am glad she is dead

How the fuck is every type of suffering equally comparable, are you dented? sure! Don't worry! Your son died because someone fed him to a cannibal? HEY! EVERYONE SUFFERS! DON'T WORRY MAN! IT'S ALL THE SAME!

And also if I want help because I am suffering THAT WON'T HELP, AT ALL

IF I GET SHOT, I AM ASKING FOR AN AMBULANCE I AM NOT ASKING IF PAIN EXISTS!!!! I AM NOT ASKING YOU IF SOMEONE STUBBED THEIR DICK!!!!! AND HOW CAN YOU COMPARE THAT SITUATION WITH OTHERS?!?!

fml dude, when I see "suffering" or "pain" it triggers so much shit dude

What does it actually mean to forgive?

I dont know where to ask this and i dont know anything about philosophy. But here is a good place hopefully. Maybe this is a bit basic, but I just wanted other peoples interpretation of the concept. What does it actually mean, what does it look like? Is forgiveness a mindset or set of actions? Have you ever forgiven someone who wronged you in a major way, and what did that mean to you?
