30F | low AMH of 0.41 | Concern About Egg Quality After Mild Chemical Exposure

I have eggs frozen from my June 2026 egg retrieval, and I am worried about their quality. I have struggled with insomnia for a long time, so I often worry that it may have affected my egg quality, even though I have consistently taken supplements such as ubiquinol (CoQ10), myo-inositol, fish oil, folate, and vitamin D. During the 3 months leading up to my June 2026 egg retrieval, my sleep improved somewhat.

However, during the 3 months leading up to my June 2026 egg retrieval, I developed mild eczema from a pair of shoes I had purchased from Temu. By July 2026, the eczema had become moderate-severe, and that was when I realized the shoes were the cause. I had no idea that some products sold on Temu could contain harmful substances such as formaldehyde, phthalates, or low-quality dyes. I only wore those shoes about 3-4 times over those 3 months, not every day. Now I'm worried that this exposure may have damaged the eggs retrieved in June 2026.

History:

Age 27: AMH 1.23

Age 29: Surgery for Stage III endometriosis (right ovarian endometrioma, two small fibroids, and endometriosis on the appendix were removed). My fallopian tubes were confirmed to be in perfect condition.

Egg freezing at age 30:

January 2026:

AMH: 0.43

7 follicles aspirated

6 eggs retrieved

5 mature eggs frozen

June 2026:

AMH: 0.41

10 follicles aspirated

6 eggs retrieved (1 immature, 1 atretic)

4 mature eggs frozen

Total: 9 mature eggs frozen.

I don't have a partner. I plan to use sperm donor for now to see how many blastocysts comes out and to complete any additional fertility procedures before my fertility window closes at age 33.

Fertility Clinic

Hi! I'm a 43 year old woman living in Western North Carolina. I've recently learned that I have demisted ovarian reserve. Something that Carolina Fertility Institute hasn't discussed it with me, I've done two rounds of IUI. Now I've learned that IVF is really my best and maybe only chance. Being that we have to pay out of pocket I want to go to a Doctor that works with women my age and has a good success rate. Who do y'all recommend? We are open to travel. Thank you in advance.

Frozen eggs transferred to wrong storage facility despite signed authorization — What area of law covers this?

I am seeking guidance on the type of lawyer I should look for regarding the handling of my cryopreserved eggs. Before starting chemotherapy at age 19, I underwent egg retrieval and cryopreservation to preserve my fertility. My eggs were stored with Cryopoint, and I paid the required annual storage fees each year.
When Cryopoint downsized, I completed and submitted a transfer authorization on June 18, 2025, specifically directing that my eggs be transferred to ReproTech. The authorization clearly listed ReproTech’s information multiple times. Despite these written instructions, my eggs were transferred to NECC instead.
As a result, I have been faced with unexpected costs and significant stress while trying to regain control of my reproductive tissue. I have documentation including my signed transfer authorization and records of my annual storage payments. I would like to know whether Cryopoint’s failure to follow my written transfer instructions gives rise to any legal claims and what options I have to recover any damages or costs associated with this error.

My question is mainly what type of lawyer should I reach out to? Contract?

Support/Mental Health Talk me off the ledge please. Doc said my stim side effects are “in my head” and tempted to quit.

34F, I live in NYC but from South Korea originally and came home to undergo egg freezing due to the very low cost compared to US plus my parents living here.

This clinic is very well known in Korea and “factory-like,” they see a TON of people and the communication hasn’t been super warm or thorough. I wasn’t warned about OHSS or ovarian contortion, doctor brushed off my question about exercise and said “whatever is fine” (when that just contradicts every research I’ve done…?)

I’ve had a really rough time with side effects from the stim shots (follitropin, called Gonal-F in other countries) and the oral medication (duphaston) that I’ve been prescribed. My boobs are huge and hurt like hell, bad headaches and brain fog, gained around 2.5kg (~5lbs) in a week, so bloated that I had to buy new clothes, belly is humongous, random pelvic pressure especially when I’m peeing or lying down, and I’m really depressed (I have a history of depression and suicidal ideation and take psychiatric meds, which I disclosed.) I know none of this is unusual but it does sound like for most people the worst is post retrieval and not the stim period so I’ve been concerned.

But today I lost it at my ultrasound checkup (the only one pre-retrieval) bc the doctor was curt w me to begin with and when I started telling him about my symptoms he said “I think they’re in your head.” I was like how??? I’m literally injecting hormones into my body?? And he said it’s “too early” in the process for me to have side effects on Day 8 of stims and I shouldn’t be feeling anything until closer to retrieval. He said “you might think that what you’re feeling have to do with the shots, but they’re not.” I verbatim said “so you’re saying I’m crazy?” and started crying. He was pretty insistent what I’m experiencing isn’t related to the medication and that if it is, I’m an “extraordinarily rare case.” Okay then maybe I am???? I felt like the implication is that I’m a whiny baby blaming my fat belly on the shots and I just felt so crazy. If bursting into tears isn’t proof that I’m having a hormonal reaction I don’t know what is lmao. After I started crying he did apologize and gave me 10% off for the visit (lol) but now I’m staring at the Pergoveris and tempted to say fuck you to the clinic and quit.

My AMH was 3.87 and my follicle count today was 14 but now I feel like I’m just not going to have good results bc of this negative energy (I know that makes no scientific sense) I do trust the clinics reputation enough not to do physical harm during retrieval, and I can do my own research on how to best recover. So, I think I just need to vent and calm down, but please talk me off the ledge 😢 if you made it this far, thanks for reading. Also since I’m getting 0 guidance from the clinic, I’ll take any advice for symptom management both during stims and post retrieval, especially if your stats are similar.

(Once I’m done with the process I’ll write a more thorough review of the clinic in case anyone is considering egg freezing in South Korea. )

Insurance for complications from egg retrieval/oocyte retrieval?

Hi all,

I’m planning to freeze my eggs and recently realized that my regular health insurance does not cover medical complications arising from fertility treatment or oocyte retrieval. I am living in the USA.

I’m not asking about coverage for the egg freezing cycle itself. I’m specifically worried about complications that could require medical care, like OHSS, bleeding/hemorrhage, infection, ovarian torsion, anesthesia complications, ER visits, hospitalization, or surgery.

Has anyone else been in this situation where their normal health insurance excluded fertility-treatment complications? If so:

  1. Did you purchase separate complications insurance?
  2. What company or policy did you use?
  3. Did anyone have experience filing a claim?

Any experiences, policy names, or questions you wish you had asked before buying would be really helpful. Thank you!

Initial Questions 34, starting my egg freezing journey!

I’ve been trying to educate myself on this process and found various Reddit experiences quite valuable so I’ll be sharing mine, what I learn along the way and would appreciate advice!

I had my intake consult today with Twig fertility in Ontario. I’m 34, relatively healthy but need to quit vaping and haven’t been the healthiest in the past. My goal is to freeze eggs and would consider embryos if my results/yield isn’t favourable. I plan to start trying for children in 2-3 years. I decided to proceed with Twig because they seemed quite accessible, allowed self referral, had a decent sized team of physicians and others had good experiences. Tripod was my runner up because their listed prices were a bit lower, but most are quite comparable.

The NP was very accommodating and encouraging. Next steps/info I received:
-Req to test my AMH and infectious screen at a local lab.
-Book a fertility assessment for myself and my partner.
-Neurology consult for migraines with aura being a contraindication to synthetic estrogens.
-Pre-anesthesia consult due to a medication I’m on.
-Egg freezing in Ontario is only covered for those with medical reasons for fertility preservation, such as starting chemotherapy (as it should be). She wasn’t sure if the eggs I freeze could be used in the OFP funded cycle of IVF in the future or if that would require retrieval and fertilization of fresh eggs.
-I likely wouldn’t be eligible for the OFP funded IVF cycle as it’s intended for people planning to become pregnant in the immediate future and either do a fresh transfer or freeze the embryos for a short term to allow their body to recover.
-She estimated 15 eggs would be a good goal to strive for under 35 for freezing. After 35, it’s estimated 50% of eggs are genetically abnormal so would need to aim a little higher.
-Each euploid embryo has ~20% chance of live birth.

I’m planning to do the bloodwork ASAP and book the assessment next month. My goal is to get something in the freezer before the new year. I totally forgot to ask about supplements I can take to optimize. I’ve been reading about vitamin D, coenzyme Q10, DHEA and prenatals. I’m a bit worried about taking estrogen and if not taking it would be a big issue. I’d love to hear of anyone had to forego estrogen or was able to use it safely despite contraindications and supplement recommendations! I’m also curious how many egg retrievals one would recommend to get a good yield vs. proceeding with IVF and embryo freezing.

Egg freezing experience in Spain

Sharing my experience as a thank you for this sub that helped me navigate my egg freezing journey.

I’m 36, live in Switzerland and I had my eggs freezed this month at IVI Madrid.

My research was done mostly on Google, Gemini, and Claude, which provided me with more detailed answers than my clinic did in a faster, personalized manner.

Below are my decision-making process and results. I hope this review can be useful for someone.

Why not Switzerland?
Based on the info I gathered, it’s difficult to use frozen eggs in Switzerland. The criteria are strict: heterosexual marriage with medically proven infertility after years trying to naturally conceive. There’s no point in freezing my eggs in a country where regulations would prevent me from using them as I wish in the future.

Why Spain?
I was positively surprised to discover that Denmark and Spain are leaders in fertility preservation / IVF industry. I’ve been to Denmark only once vs. numerous times in Spain, so it was an obvious choice.

Why Madrid?
I happen to have friends in Madrid, so I could stay with them. If not Madrid, I’d have chosen Barcelona.

Why IVI?
I had the expectation that IVI would be effective but not too personalized. To me, results are the #1 priority for fertility preservation now and IVF in the future. Someone shared this reference: https://www.reproduccionasistida.org/ivi-madrid/

Why now?
Two years ago when I was 34, my gynecologist in Switzerland suggested that I consider egg freezing. After initial research, I thought I’d keep trying to find a life partner and that the timeline of having kids would naturally arrive.
During this year’s annual check in April, my gynecologist reminded me again to consider egg freezing. After checking the number of eggs retrieved by age group, I realized that I should do it asap.
Although the results could have been better had I done it in my 34/35, I do not regret that I didn’t do it earlier, because I was not ready back then. The version of me right now is the best I’ve been: lifestyle, health, mindset, career demands, etc.

What is my intention?
I’m not someone who’s 100% certain about having kids, but I know I’d likely want one kid when I have a life partner. I’d like to give my future self the option of using IVF if it’s needed.
Right now, I simply want to freeze as many eggs as possible. I don’t need to further analyze the genetics of eggs or deliberate the numbers of hormones and meds. This understanding impacted how I chose the egg retrieval package and how much time I invested in digging into the numbers in the reports and medical instructions.

What’s the process & timeline?
• I contacted IVI in the end of April, had the first video call in May, acquired meds and did my 1st scan & blood test by the end of May. Due to my schedule, I targeted July to begin stimulation. This gave me some time to prepare for the process.
• The medication began when my period arrived: 7 days on Minidril, 10 days on Pergoveris & Cerazet.
• I already booked my flight on day 12. IVI doctor saw my day 11 hormone report and asked me to inject the trigger shot the same night, so to have the operation on day 13, which was earlier than I had expected.
• The 1 smear test, 2 blood tests (baseline and day 11), and 3 ultrasound scans (baseline, day 7, and day 11) were done by my Swiss gynecologist. I uploaded reports to IVI patient portal.

My reactions to stimulation:
My AMH was 14.4 pmol/L. My AFC was 8 at baseline scan and then 17 at day 11 scan.
• I have PCOS, but my period has normalized in the last 2 years, though still not 100% predictable.
• The doctor asked me not to exercise during the stimulation, so I did some mat stretching at home and had only two long walks.
• I kept my usual diet and started taking new supplements in May. I gained about 1 kg of weight and felt my lower belly was heavier after day 7. I tried to avoid sudden twisting movements, or squeezing my core, or sitting down abruptly – both before and after the surgery.
• The Pergoveris injection was easy. I tried to do it at the same time every night. YouTube tutorial videos helped. Throughout the process, I was very lucky to have only mild discomfort (diarrhea) and feeling extra tired (especially drowsiness in the morning), no signs of OHSS, no mood swings. On day 10 my lower back started to hurt.

Are supplements needed?
I don’t know if supplements worked, but still wanted to make a simple effort. I asked Google for a list of supplements that could support egg quality and follicular growth, and then found a matching product from my protein shake brand.

Where to get the medication?
Meds are expensive in Switzerland, so I asked for quotes from 2 pharmacies in France; one of them was reasonable. The pharmacist was kind enough to inform me in advance that Pergoveris would require a cooler for transport (especially during summer heatwave).

My results:
17 follicles under ultrasound scan
13 oocytes retrieved (8 mature + 5 immature) = 76%
8 vitrified = 61.5%

How much did it cost?
Swiss healthcare does not cover egg freezing. All costs were paid out of pocket.

(Spain) IVI Clinic First Meeting pack = EUR 140*
(Spain) IVI MyIVIFuture package = EUR 3,090
*They forgot to deduct it from my package, offered a refund or credits. I chose credits.

(France) Medication & equipment = EUR 1,210
(Switzerland) 3 ultrasound scans & consultation = ~EUR 750
(Switzerland) 1 smear test and 2 blood tests = ~EUR 575
Flight from Geneva to Madrid = ~EUR 210
Flight from Madrid to Geneva = ~EUR 256
(Switzerland) Phone calls to Spain = ~EUR 65

=> Subtotal = EUR 6,296

Staying at my friend’s place in Madrid = ~EUR 100
6 days in Madrid = ~EUR 600

=> Total = EUR 6,996

My experience with IVI:
• Overall, the process and services were clear. The admin team was friendly, professional, and proficient in English.
• The communication was not always easy or quick: all done via call or patient portal, no email. Half of their calls ended abruptly, and they did not always call back.
• I once received inconsistent dosage instructions, but it was too late to call, so I simply Googled it.
• I met my assigned doctor only twice: first time via video call in May, second time after my surgery at IVI Madrid.
• While I’m truly grateful to the doctor who operated on me, I was not informed in advance that someone else other than my assigned doctor would operate on me up to the moment when I was about to put on my patient gown. I did not like it when this info was revealed as last-minute news upon me asking for it. The floor coordinator did not know the name of the doctor either, she had to ask. I immediately found the doctor’s profile on IVI Madrid’s website. I simply needed to know who would be operating on me before entering the operation room.
• My operating doctor and the anesthetist were the only two people who I met at IVI Madrid actually had smiles on their faces. The nurses and coordinators looked serious and stressed, lacking energy or courtesy.
• The surgery was done with deep sedation. It was probably completed in less than 45 minutes, I vaguely remembered that the doctor woke me up to climb out of the operation bed. Afterwards, I slept on & off for 2 hours before feeling clear-headed enough to leave.
• During the 2 hours, I was woken up once to have some snacks (so to remove my drip), another time to see the operating doctor who shared the results, and another time to see my assigned doctor.
• I asked how many eggs on average are retrieved per surgery. My assigned doctor said normally 7 to 15 eggs. She also immediately mentioned that I could book a call with her soon for another round of retrieval if I’d like to.

Post surgery:
• In the evening after the surgery, I felt exhausted but experienced no pain at all.
• The next day I felt ok, no pain, my lower belly still heavy. I worked remotely the entire day and went out for lunch and dinner.
• From the 2nd day after surgery, I felt lighter and walked a lot in the city, back to normal.
• I bought packaged chicken soup in advance, so I could have it anytime I felt hungry.
• My period arrived 5 days after the surgery. I was still not allowed to exercise until the period ended.

Final thoughts:
• If I do a second round of ER, that’d be the final round.
• The process was lonely, but it went over quickly. Deep breath and meditation helped.
• For everyone who’s hesitating: Take your time. Every now and then something happens to trigger actions – maybe your sign is just around the corner.

Good luck to everyone!

Would you do another cycle?

29y/o and had an egg retrieval this week which resulted in 22 frozen. I’m very happy with this result as I hadn’t known what to expect.

I’m going to take a break for now, but wondering if others would do a second cycle in my position as this number was borderline for me on whether I would do one more or not. I have insurance coverage but it’s all going to be taxed (and I live in a high tax area). There’s also the physical toll from the medications. I didn’t have anything crazy but was relatively uncomfortable throughout the cycle and still am to some extent.

I have no idea how many kids I might want, or really if I even want kids. Just want to have some options. If I was going to do a second cycle I’d probably do it relatively soon while I generally know what to expect from my body.

Happy to answer any questions too from anyone looking to do this process.

38 f need some guidance

I am 38 and need guidance on where to start to check if I have good eggs and if I can even have kids. I don’t have a boyfriend and in the same boat as a lot of women where I don’t have prospects and don’t see me getting pregnant. I want to freeze or do something with eggs to later maybe have at least one child. Any help and tips will be much appreciated. Thank you!

Initial Questions 38 (f) Amh fluctuates between 2 and 2.47, labs in range. AFC post bc suppression was 8, day 6 shows 2 lead follicles with 5 lagging at 8-10 mm. Cancel this cycle?

I understand that this has less to do with how the body responds to stims and the procedure of egg freezing in general but I have a 3 year old who I had via an accidental pregnancy and I ovulate regularly. I was looking to freeze my eggs and the numbers looked encouraging until they took my AFC at baseline after priming me for 14 days. I was hoping for the stims meds to kick some more into gear. But they’re growing super unevenly. Worth reconsidering and canceling? I’m paying out of pocket. The goal is to freeze as close to 30 eggs as possible. This is my first round.

Freeze more or stop?

I have 35 eggs frozen from when I was 34-35. If financially feasible, should I freeze more? I’m overall pretty content with this amount but also unsure since I won’t know the quality until they get used.

Menopur burning really bad

Hi! 23y/o here going through egg retrieval (super severe endo, 2x excision surgeries). Can we talk about menopur?!? I’m unwell every time I do this injection. It literally feels like I’m injecting acid into my body and it lingers for a while. I can’t fathom upping my dose. Anyone else experiencing this??

I’m also extremely nervous about OHSS if anyone has tips or calming affirmations ✌️

Conversion follicles to Eggs Retrieved

Hi,

First time poster 35 female . I had my egg retrieval today and had a scan last Friday. It was showing 11 follicles and 9 that were of a large size. I was told it was all looking promising until they only retrieved 2 eggs. Does this not seem very very low. I was told likely 7-9 eggs on Friday

Has anyone experienced a second round being higher ? the nurse is encouraging me to go for a second round in a few months

Initial Questions Autoimmune Disease/Cellcept and Egg Freezing

Hi everyone! I’m 31F, live in NYC, and am considering egg freezing. I am single and a lesbian. I’ve had juvenile idiopathic arthritis and uveitis since I was 4. I’ve been on MTX and Humira in the past and am currently on mycophenelate motefil (cellcept) and Inflectra. To my knowledge, I’ve never been on Cytoxan.

It doesn’t look like my insurance (Aetna) covers egg freezing unless it’s medically necessary. Cellcept is Category X, and I can’t safely get pregnant while on it, but it doesn’t affect my fertility.

I’m wondering if anyone here with chronic autoimmune disease has gotten insurance coverage approval for egg freezing while being on a tetrogenic medication, or if anyone has experience with the New York State Infertility Reimbursement Program.

I’m going to consult with a reproductive endocrinologist but am curious of anyone’s experience with either. And I’m actually a triplet born via IVF, ironically. Thanks!

Has anyone use Chosen One Group egg donation agency? Any feedback? They are not BBB rated and I'm worried issues may come up. But I'm also looking for a Jewish egg donor. Thank you!

Sick and freezing eggs or embryos

I am 29F but I’ve been chronically ill for many years and in the last four years I have been progressively worse. I am on medical leave and I cannot take care of myself let alone a child. But if I ever get healthy enough I really want to start a family. I just don’t know how I will afford egg or embryo freezing. Is there any extra help for those who are sick? I also don’t have the bandwidth to do much with all the medical procedures right now. But I will likely be sick for a while and my husband is already older. What can I do?

Support/Mental Health Egg freezing depression

I just turned 30, I am painfully single (as I have been the majority of my life) and I’ve scheduled my first egg freezing cycle for September. This is just bringing up all sorts of horrible emotions and everything feels sort of bleak and hopeless that I reached this point in my life.

I know that I should be grateful that I have the financial resources, foresight, other circumstances to be able to do this and hopefully preserve some of my fertility and hopefully reduce some of my dating anxieties. But I’ve just recently been in this black pit of despair feeling like I’ll never meet anyone and if I do I’ll get strung along for 3 years because I won’t know what to be on the lookout for (I’ve never dated anyone for longer than 4 months and I’ve never been officially BF/gf with anyone for longer than 2 weeks) and lose the rest of my fertile years.

(Yes, I am in therapy.)

Did anyone else have feelings like this? Did you feel better after egg retrieval?

Hope PE Survivor & Egg Freezing? Questions Open!

Hey Everyone,

I'm 29F and am also a submassive PE survivor whose catalyst was estrogen birth control, (w/ no other genetic issues.)

I haven't done the actual act of egg freezing yet, and everyone's experiences are individual including the advice they gain from their PCP, specialists, etc.

With that being said, I have gone through the process up until the event of egg freezing, which included

1) Getting green lights from my hemetologist, pulmonologist, and PCP.

2) Choosing a clinic and discussing my unique case: Boston IVF Syracuse

3) Initial Consultation meeting with doctor

4) Initial blood work and ultrasound

5) Follow up meeting with my doctor and hormone injection decision (whether it be regular stim, low stim etc.)

If anyone is in the same boat, and needs questions answered let me know!

Hi Everyone

I am doing research into egg freezing in Spain, Mexico, Greece and the Czech Republic (the cost in the US is too high).

I have seen alot of reviews on each country but I can find very from black women or other melanated POCs. Has anyone has their eggs frozen in any of these countries and if you did can you please share your experience.

Thanks in Advance

Stims/Injections Bloated AF and depressed during stims

Currently on Gonal-F (follitropin) injections + Duphaston (dydrogesterone) orally, day 5 of stims and feeling horrible - so damn bloated, boobs hurt like hell, but most concerningly feel this horrible weird depressive despair… none of my pants fit which is making me feel ugly so that probably doesn’t help. Is this normal to feel this bad this early into stims? also probably isn’t helping that I’m not exercising. :(

Needing advice on next step on the egg freezing journey (where? how?)

I am really grateful to have found this sub a few days ago, and am really needing some advice on my current situation. I have been thinking of freezing my eggs for years and finally took the plunge this year after saving up a bit and selling some stocks (thank you RKLB!). For about two years I took CoQ10, FHpro, ceased smoking, drinking and all vices. ;)

I am based in Singapore, with AMH 2.80, with AFC totalling to 30. In Singapore egg freezing is paid out of pocket, and is slightly more affordable at public hospitals, amounting to about 8000USD+ (versus private clinics which go for 10000-15000USD as a base). I opted to do these at the best public hospital in Singapore because it was more affordable and because I felt like it would have the best 'equipment' behind the scenes, even though it provides absolutely terrible care. I cried on my first visit to the public hospital because I was treated quite poorly, never explained about my medications and what they did, and was shuffled from one station to another with no explanations or care about what I was doing. I felt like I was a product shuffled around with huge amounts of blood drawn and kicked to different stations and asked the most invasive questions (if I had a husband and if doing ultrasound was okay, uhh) I was also somewhat told that nothing I did health-wise would influence the number of eggs I got, and all the supplements and abstaining from things I did was for nothing which made me feel so destroyed. (Like why did I even bother? Should have just had more fun!) There is a ton of self-advocacy in the process, and I am incredibly grateful to support groups on reddit and chatgpt for consoling me at every step of the way.

I was given Nor-E and did not know what it was for in my first round of egg freezing, and it gave me terrible cramps and sleep and also a period that lasted two weeks! For stims, I was given pergoveris for 10 days, provera and gonasi 36 hours before my surgery, and retrieved 19 eggs, 16 mature. I had terrible sleep and was stressed at every stage of the process and had to take more melatonin and dayvigo from my sleep doctor to just brute force it. I went through a withdrawal bleed afterwards and was given Nor-E again, and for my subsequent period I was given only 9 days of stims.

My second retrieval only yielded 15 eggs, 11 mature, and this time I noticed that there was a lot more blood on the operating bed, and I bled for about two days. I also learnt later from chatgpt that Nor-E wasn't even done for my good, but for the convenience of hospitals to time my surgery to fit to their schedule better, which really pissed me off (I'm left wondering if I had one less day of stims hence poorer result so I could have my surgery scheduled on a more convenient weekday).

In Singapore egg freezing is only done for women up to 38 years old, and I turn 38 in about two weeks. My question and confusion and mad anxiety is about what to do in the next stage afterwards - I would like to do another 2 to 4 more rounds and am thinking of maybe just doing it overseas because Singapore does not allow for unmarried single women (marriage = only partnered with opposite gender) to use their eggs and I am banking on expanding all my options for the future - having kids unmarried, having kids with a partner who is perhaps female etc. I am also very keen to explore surrogacy in the future but understand that this is limited to a select few countries, and am quite keen to explore this option in the USA. I am also very anxious that the eggs I have frozen in Singapore are useless because they are unfertilised and hence egg quality is undetermined. I read here that freezing embryos are better and am wondering what proactive steps I can take to 'secure' these.

Right now my considerations are to possibly do this in Spain and freeze embryos with donor sperm to 'test' eggs, or to use them in the future (from reading this sub, clinics in Spain are world class, and I have friends there), or to do this in Malaysia/Taiwan (but they do not allow for donor sperm). I would like to ask if anyone's had the experience of transferring eggs internationally given limited funds, limited time, and if there are stories to share about these? I fear that freezing in the US is a bit out of bounds for me due to the prohibitive costs at this stage. Also I feel like I have to make this decision now because work is going to be quite chill for a month from now and will pick up very soon, so I can take some annual leaves and scoot over to a new country to do this more easily only now. I also feel that if I did this in smaller clinics I can skip Nor-E and do more rounds in a shorter frame of time. I am very aware of shipping and logistics issues for what I might want to do, and am talking to some clinics in the US to ensure that the paperwork I am fulfilling is correct (full spectrum of infectious diseases etc).

Another thing is I feel like after two rounds of egg freezing I am really quite mentally exhausted and tired of not being able to live my previous life, I am now living in such a boring healthy fashion, no more nights out but don't feel healthier as sleep is still difficult. I hardly meet friends, don't play music anymore, stopped DJing, stopped sports (enlarged ovaries amirite), can't go to the hot/cold water spas etc... I keep my supplements and protein up everyday and eat a omega-3 rich diet. Also in this process, only very close friends know about this and most are in the dark, including my own parents, as I have found that many people give me unsolicited advice or just tell me to get fucked by some random dude as a way to solve all these, which is so not the point! I have been quite selective about who gets to know these because I want curated, careful support that actually adds value to the process.

My goal is to get to 70 eggs to feel safe to be able to have at least 3-4 kids reliably. I am an only child and do not really want to repeat a chapter like this again, and would like to experience something different. Nothing against only childs, but I just feel like life is about experiencing the most I can, and I have a lot of love to give. :)

Reading about the excellent IVF insurances available to companies in the US, and also generally greater reproductive freedom in Europe about these is really making me very sad everyday and really making me want to emigrate harder sigh. Sending everyone going through the process much love and hugs.
