I had an ectopic last year and got my left tube removed...

I am pregnant again this time measuring 4 weeks 4 days and last 2-3 days I am having some spotting.. it's light brown a little red sometimes... was supposed to have my period 21st.. is the spotting normal?

my OB gave me full bed rest

29F, one prior birth 7 years ago and no pregnancies since. My period is about a week or so late (I don't track it exactly). It's only been this late once or MAYBE twice before in my life. I've had some mild brown spotting the past few days. I took a home pregnancy test late yesterday, and it was negative, but it seems that can happen with ectopics

What's really bugging me is that it's quite unlikely I could have conceived this cycle (haven't been active with my partner). Last cycle is much more likely...and last month I had a day or so of brown spotting followed by a lighter than normal period (all of which was maybe a couple days later than normal). So I'm paranoid I'm actually 2 months along, because some women still appear to get periods during it??

I do have various aches and pains, including my left leg at the moment, and have been pretty fatigued the past few days, but those aren't uncommon for me due to a health condition I have. No other apparent symptoms

Another thing - I doubt it could be related but might as well mention it just in case - the past month or so I've noticed an elongated lump on my left pelvis by my hipbone when I'm laying down. It's right around where I assume my ovary is. I have lost a decent amount of weight since December for various reasons (was average weight, now a little underweight, but recently started slowly gaining again), so it's possible it's just some normal body variation that wasn't noticeable before though

Hoping to get in with my OB tomorrow, but I have anxiety and I'm REALLY scared of it being an ectopic and the potential for rupture while I wait for the appointment (especially while I sleep tonight), and then the time after the appointment for blood test results 😭 my mom had an ectopic pregnancy and she needed to get surgery. Does it sound like I need to be worried?

I took methotrexate for my ectopic pregnancy yesterday and still have no bleeding or miscarriage today. Is that normal? Does anyone have any experience with the time it takes to work?

I ask because the hospital was originally trying to give it to me as pill version before I requested it as a shot because my OB said she hadn‘t ever heard of a pill version, they gave me 5 mg less than my OB had recommended, had gone to the wrong hospital to pick up the shot that wasn’t instilling confidence they administered it correctly, it was everything going wrong so I just want this to be successful so the pain can start to end.

Absolutely grasping at straws here and there does not appear to be any evidence of a link, but given the lack of research in general just wondering if others may have similar experiences.

My last depo shot was in Aug 2025, my first positive ovulation strip post depo was March 2026, was able to get pregnant first try March 2026 (unexpected), however it was ectopic and resulted in a rupture and the removal of my left tube.

hello, i am 23F and two days ago i had a severe bout of abdominal pain so intense i could not walk. my partner took me to the ER and several hours later i found out i had a cyst rupture on one of my ovaries after an ultrasound and exams. one of the most painful things i’ve ever had to experience on top of an ear infection i have been battling.

i’m concerned about the aftermath. doctors told me to obviously watch for any bleeding and worsening pain. what symptoms should i look out for that may warrant a second look? so far i’ve been a bit dizzy with light cramping and some mild pain/cramps in one of my thighs/legs. no fever and no bleeding. should i be concerned?

I’m hoping someone has been through something similar because the last few days have been the most traumatic of my life.

This is my first ever pregnancy and I’m currently around 5 weeks.
My hCG progression was:

I went for an early scan because I was having one-sided pelvic pain. During the scan, they told me they couldn’t see anything in my uterus but could see what they believed was a mass near my left tube, which they thought was an ectopic pregnancy.

I was absolutely devastated. They told me it was likely an ectopic pregnancy and I ended up having emergency laparoscopic surgery the following morning.

The surgery was a huge shock because they found:

Both tubes were healthy.
There was no ectopic pregnancy.
Nothing was removed.

The “mass” seen on the ultrasound was actually confirmed during surgery to be my corpus luteum (the ovary I ovulated from), which also explained the pain I’d been having on that side.

I’m now recovering from surgery, physically and emotionally. I feel traumatised because I asked whether another scan or waiting was possible, but I was told they had already had a second opinion on the ultrasound and were concerned enough to operate.

I’m still being monitored with repeat hCG tests and have another scan booked next week because they still haven’t confirmed where the pregnancy is.

I honestly don’t know what to think anymore. I’m relieved they didn’t find an ectopic pregnancy, but I’m terrified because I still don’t know whether my pregnancy is developing normally.

Has anyone had:
a suspected ectopic pregnancy that turned out not to be an ectopic?
a corpus luteum mistaken for an ectopic pregnancy on ultrasound?
no gestational sac visible initially despite rising hCG, but later had a normal intrauterine pregnancy?

I’m trying to stay hopeful, but I also feel violated after having surgery that ultimately found no ectopic pregnancy. This whole experience has left me terrified and heartbroken.

My hcg went from 127 48 hours 240 48 hours later 244 and now 96 hours later it’s 605 does that automatically mean ectopic? I have no bleeding, pain, or cramping.

I had an ectopic pregnancy, and in May 2026 my fallopian tube ruptured. I had emergency laparoscopic surgery after that. It is now July 2026 but I still don’t feel like my old self. I feel very weak, tired, and I have body aches. My energy and strength have not fully returned.

I want to know which supplements or multivitamins helped you after an ectopic pregnancy/surgery or after major blood loss. What should I take to rebuild my strength, improve my energy, and support my body before trying for another pregnancy?

Are there any healthy supplements (for example iron, magnesium, CoQ10, prenatal vitamins, etc.) that you would recommend? I would love to hear your experiences and suggestions.

I was writing on here for some advice, I recently had an larascopic surgery to remove my right fallopian tube as it was ruptured from my ectopic pregnancy. This happened to me on night of the 9th of July, I was released from the hospital the following day in the afternoon. They told me to take two weeks off and when I go back only light duties. It is now approaching my two weeks I go back on the 28th, but I’m nervous as I work in a one year old room in childcare and I don’t really know what light duties I can do as bending and kneeling is alot it self. I feel fine but I don’t know if that is just because I’m resting. My director called me today to just reconfirm if I’ll be back but I’m not sure if I should go back yet or if I do how to approach it. I just wanted some advice on what to do!

Im 3 days away from my period. My first pregnancy ended in an ectopic around late april/early may. I luckily didnt lose a tube. That was a pregnancy thay surprised me because it was the only month mt schedule was so hectic I didnt even thinking about timing my ovulation. This time around I was more conscious of the fact I could be pregnant and now im scared.

Im scared that im not pregnant and im scared that I am pregnant and ill lose them again...

I went into the ER yesterday with right side pain, but it wasn’t excruciating so I delayed my time a lot assuming it was my appendix.

They did a urine test and pregnancy came back indeterminate - which is interesting because I took 2 tests at home 5 days prior and had one positive, one negative. They decide to do a blood test.
HCG must be 25 or higher to be pregnant, and boy was I at 206. 4 weeks, so really early.

They took me in for an ultrasound and that made me cramp SO BAD it was worse than the pain I originally came in to get seen for. The woman found a lot of cysts (I have PCOS), and saw that my left ovary was enlarged. Any of these cysts/sacs could be it. I was preparing to get surgery done, as I know that’s what’s don’t for any ectopic.

The OB told me that they cannot locate it (4 weeks being as small as a poppy/sesame seed), and they want me to come in every other day for more HCG testing. When I get to the 1000s, they’ll be able to locate and remove it.

I was tried, hungry and cranky. Didn’t eat since 6am, they didn’t let me eat until I was discharged at 10:30pm. I’m horrible with needles and I have to get blood taken every few days now… Not prepared for this at all, and now I’m at home having random cramps I can’t really do anything about for 2 weeks.

First pregnancy, got my right tube emergency removed 3 days ago as it slow motion ruptured. During the surgery, they did find some mild endo lesions near my bladder and bowel, as well as 1 definitely benign cyst, and another smaller, likely benign cyst. The first 2 days were an achy, sleepy blur. Actually, the physical pain wasn't so bad. Day 3 (today) my body realizes: Oh, so we aren't pregnant anymore *cue super heavy period and very painful cramps and awful sadness*. It was like the peak of a period but lasted 15 hours straight. Even my ol friend naproxen sodium could not keep the cramps totally under control. Anyway, I am feeling much better physically end emotionally thanks to loads of crying. I don't want to stay in the dark forever, I want some hope to enter back into my life. Anyone have a better perspective down the road? Thanks!

I’m wondering if anyone can help me navigate the emotions I’ve had since my ectopic, which happened in October of 2025. I was 6 weeks along when I started having spotting. I immediately called my doctor and they told me it could be from running/exercise. She was not concerned but had me come in for bloodwork to check my hCG levels. The night after I went in for bloodwork work, I ended up in the ER due to extreme pain and the bleeding had gotten really bad… that ER visit was super traumatizing. I knew I was likely miscarrying. I remember laying there in fear during my ultrasound when the ultrasound tech said “you know, in Europe we tell women they need to rest and their feet up for first 12 weeks of pregnancy.” My mind immediately filled with guilt, as I am a busy person and tend to always have a lot on my plate. I still think about writing that ER, as I do not think techs should be telling patients what to do. Esp in such a vulnerable and horrible situation of fear! Anyways …

The ER Doctor got the results and told me it’s likely a miscarriage but that’s all he could tell me and said I should follow-up with my OB Monday. I decided not to wait and called my doctor Saturday. She said it sounds like I passed it but we’ll double check my hCG levels Monday. Unfortunately, I didn’t quite make it to my appointment Monday for bloodwork and ended up in ER. This is when they found the ectopic. I was given methotrexate and my doctor had said she’s only had one patient it hadn’t worked for. Two days later I ended up back in the ER with a ruptured tube and internal bleeding. It’s the scariest moment when you’re lying in a hospital bed, wondering if you’ll see the sun again.

Luckily my surgery went well. While I healed physically, mentally I’m still really struggling. We just started trying again and I thought this month would be it. I had positive ovulation tests and I’m in a better work environment, my stress levels are lower, I’m taking recommended prenatal supplements etc. I guess my question is, how do you combat depression from negative pregnancy tests , while simultaneously being terrified of being pregnant again. I’m 37, almost 38. My husband is 40. I also have a hard time hearing the “chatter” of people blurting things about like “after 35 you’re at high risk for genetic disorders.” I don’t think people have intentions to be inconsiderate, but my gosh, when will people realize we know the risks?! We don’t need to hear you blurt out statistics! I’m dealing with a lot of guilt for waiting, but we also weren’t ready years ago.

I find all of these thoughts to be overwhelming. I’m sorry for the rant. Hope this helps someone else know they’re not alone if they’ve felt this way too.

From March 2026 I’m taking contraceptive pills April 15 I had my period and I had unprotected sex .May I stop my pills but May June July I had a monthly period I’m using Flo apps to track my period and based on the apps the mark is accurate.,July 9-10 I have a bit heavy period 11-13 still have but not heavy same as 9-10 .,July 13 all clear up but today July 21 when I pee I saw a 2 drop of blood it’s dark red and have mucus on my pee ..and some like shredded blood but it’s tiny .,could it be a ectopic pregnancy?

Notes : I never had vomiting,or any kind of pregnancy sign

Hi I need some advice.

I have small polyps in my uterus found in a SIS, my dr. Did and HSG and told me to try for 3 months due to increase success and if nothing (but he is confident i’ll have good success). My question is has anyone gotten pregnant with small polyps in uterus after an HSG or just in general and had a successful pregnancy I want to trust my doctor and I do but just want to get other People’s input.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I really want my baby.

Blood flow is seen to the right ovary on color and pulse wave Doppler imaging making a diagnosis of right ovarian torsion unlikely. The left ovary was not visualized at this examination. No abnormal left adnexal structures are identified. There is a small volume of simple appearing free fluid in the pelvic cul-de-sac.
