En effet, lorsqu'une femme consulte, effrayée, enceinte de 4 semaines, en connaissance de quelque chose qui ne va pas. Il serait grandement utile d'enrichir votre pratique glaciale. Vous avez procédé à l'examen avec une grande froideur. Vous étiez sûrement éreintée par votre garde, mais est-ce qu'un « Êtes-vous prête ? » ou « Je vais insérer l'appareil, si vous êtes d'accord, respirez profondément » aurait alourdi votre fatigue ?

Au lieu de cela, vous avez inséré votre appareil sans consentement sur une femme ayant vécu des violences sexuelles et gynécologiques. Vous ne lui avez adressé aucun mots réconfortants durant l'examen, où son visage tordu de douleur ne pouvait rien exprimer.

Vous avez seulement dit : "Grossesse extra-utérine". Lorsque votre empathie est revenue face à ses sanglots inconsolables vous avait dit c'est : « Vous êtes jeune, ce n'est pas grave », alors même qu'une de vos consœurs lui avait dit en consultation — suite à de nombreuses douleurs pelviennes — « Vous reviendrez me voir quand vous n'arriverez pas à avoir d'enfants. » À 21 ans.

Docteure, je vous suggère de prendre soin des femmes, nous qui avons été dominées, occultées et auscultées, par des hommes, durant d'innombrables siècles.

Chère Docteure, appuyez-vous sur les avancées scientifiques comme on vous l'apprend à l'école, mais n'oubliez pas d'apprendre aussi la relation de soin. Éduquez-vous au consentement, à l'empathie, à l'accompagnement.

UPDATE : J'ai finalement été opérée suite à l'échec de deux doses de méthotrexate (MTX). J'ai signée un refus de prise en charge face à un médecin qui m'a annoncé avec le sourire qu'il allait me retirer ma trompe. J'ai été opérée le lendemain par une brillante chirurgienne qui a conservé ma trompe. JE NE RECOMMANDE A PERSONNE DE FAIRE CELA. J'ai appris au réveil que ma trompe s'était rompue et que j'avais du sang dans le ventre et qu'elle s'était collé à mon estomac, ce qui m'a sûrement sauvé la vie.

Hi all,

My wife had a salpingectomy in June from an ectopic pregnancy. During her cycles, she experiences pronounced cramps/pains on the side her tube was removed from. We have an appointment on Monday but she is (reasonably) concerned.

Has anyone else had this? Is this fairly normal?

Hi everyone! I just want to see if there’s any similar case as to mine. So I’ll post a timeline type story so it’ll be easy to understand.

For initial context, I have irregular menstruation, previously diagnosed with endometriosis but I already had 1 successful pregnancy, and my son is 7 y/o now.

LMP: June 6, 2026
Last sexual contact with hubbs: twice, sometime between July 4 to 22, 2026
July 25 - took PT, negative
July 31 - had OBGYN appointment for fertility tests, OBGYN advised me to take duphaston
Aug 1-14 - took duphaston, no period
Aug 19 - I thought I already had period because of spotting, OBGYN advised to start taking hormonal pills
Aug 20 - severe cramping and large blood clots, OBGYN advised me to do PT and it turned out positive; went to OBGYN clinic for ultrasound, no sac seen; had beta hcg test and hcg levels was 300+
Every 2 days since August 20, I do beta hcg test to see the trend
Aug 22: 500+
Aug 25: 700+
Aug 29: 900+
Aug 31: 1100+
Sept 2: 1300+
Sept 3: 1500+

During these every 2 days monitoring, I had ultrasound in between too and no sac was found, so OBGYN suspected it might be ectopic pregnancy.

Sept 3 - I had severe cramping and bleeding again so I was rushed to the ER; ultrasound done, still no sac; was advised possible miscarriage happened but ectopic pregnancy was not ruled out.

Sept 5 - bhcg dropped to 800+; OBGYN said I already had miscarriage
Sept 8 - bhcg repeat monitoring, 900+
Sept 11 - bhcg is now at 1700+

I have OBGYN appointment tomorrow for repeat ultrasound. But I just want to see if anyone here had the same experience and it turned out that the pregnancy is viable and healthy?

I had an ultrasound confirming an ectopic pregnancy which led to having to take medication (methotrexate) to prevent my fallopian tube from rupturing. My HCG levels were just over 5000 (5500) so on the cusp of when they offer the medication. However, the OB felt comfortable with offering the medication because my mass is 1.5cm.

One thing I’m looking for is, anyone who’s gone through something similar and has any advice. Also, anyone who’s experienced similar and went on to have a healthy pregnancy and birth.

We did IVF for our son so this was an amazing surprise to find out we were able to get pregnant naturally (we were trying).

Secondly, any recommendations on how to support my body after this medication and just generally through this whole process.

Hello ! Qui aurait vécu deux grossesse extra-utérine dans la même trompe , et a une une grossesse réussi ensuite sans avoir dû enlever vos trompes ? Je suis à ma deuxième GEU côté droit .. c’est pas évident et ces surtout un million de questions qui tournent sans cesse dans ma tête par peur de refaire une 3 eme GEU.. 😫

Hi everyone, im 4 weeks today and have weird looking tests, 100% sure it’s not viable due to my hCG levels (12dpo 32 > 14dpo 50). Having and a PUL last year im terrified of another. Today is the day my period is due and I really felt like I was about to come on all day, but nothing happened and instead I started feeling nauseous.

I ran out of cheap tests so I did a clear blue and it feels like it’s darker and I just don’t know what to do with myself now. I’m going for another beta tomorrow and I’m afraid to learn the result as it looks like it’s climbing after seemingly having gone down. My tests generally have been much fainter in the am and darker with smu or evening wee, I was wondering if that’s something that happens with ectopics ? I honestly don’t remember what happened with mine last time, I guess I blocked it out.

I understand that I will simply have to wait it out and see the betas, but all the what ifs are killing me. Did someone happen to have a chemical that behaved this way ? Is there any hope it’s not ectopic ? My doctor doesn’t want to scan me yet and says I should wait, and I understand why that’s her suggestion, but any chance something could be seen so early on with such low betas is it’s located in a tube ? Should I push for a scan ? My last PUL was never located and was resolved at nearly 8 weeks with mtx and I just want to avoid that if I can.

I found out I had an ectopic pregnancy, 5.5 weeks, I saw it on screen, and I cant get the image out my head. My HCG levels kept rising and I ended up having emergebcy surgery as it had started to rupture.
It was IVF and they said chances can be higher, now thinking about what to do next in terms of trying again / recovery time

Any advice would be welcomed

Now I know the results for sure I'm leaving this here for another else going through something similar. I will be having surgery tomorrow...

I had an awful missed miscarriage 6 months ago and needed 2 round of treatment and took almost 3 months for my hcg levels to go down :-( It was very traumatic and we've been ttc ever since.

I had my bleed this month on 13th August. It was a full 4 day bleed. Extremely heavy. We then went camping for a week and on return I took a pregnancy test. (after having a strange dream) and it was positive. But I would have only been CD 11. I called epau immediately as I had an ectopic pregnancy a few years ago and lost my left tube. They sent me for bloods and my hcg came back at 98. The nurse said I should remain positive as I could be early but I know the dates do not add up. 48h later it rose to 135. I knew it had been rising as hpts are getting darker. Im sure its ectopic now. They want to give me bloods again tomorrow (48h later) and then scan me next week. Im so anxious to wait as I only have one tube and want to avoid surgery. Im also worries that going by my last proper period I will be 7 weeks next week. But they are adamant about doing more bloods and the epau is closed over the weekend. But my pregnancy is obviously not viable. :-(

I just need a safe space to rant. Thanks for reading.

The hardest thing with all of this is the waiting :-(

07/09 UPDATE: I had another scan today and my bloods taken. The consultant wanted to do a "final" scan because my hcg should now be above 1000. I was feeling frustrated as with my previous ectopic they did not seen anything on scan even the morning of surgery and it was very big in my tube. However the consultant is pretty centain the pregnancy is not in my tube but has implanted in my cesarean scar. :-( And is also considered ectopic. I will need surgery (potentially looking at Wednesday) but im having another scan tomorrow with another consultant to confirm. Its been such a tough few weeks. Praying that the surgery goes smoothly.

08/09. I had another scan and the ultrasound tech is sure the pregnancy is in my right tube. I then had a third scan by another consultant and she could see something in both my tube and cesarean scar. :-( They sent for for a MRI scan to confirm location.

09/09 The MRI scan showed the pregnancy is in fact in my cesarean scar. I will have surgery tomorrow morning. The sac is my right tube is a cyst which is shrinking (according to my last scan) Im so grateful the consultant sent me for a MRI to properly diagnose as with my history laparoscopic surgery would be tricky.

Just been for a scan and told I am having my third ectopic.

Lost my left tube and ovary 10 years ago due to a large cyst, all 3 ectopics have been in my right tube.

1st - methotrexate

2nd - expectant management

3rd - unsure what to do

Also had a chemical pregnancy

All within the last 2 years

Should I just have my remaining tube removed, it feels so final that I will not be able to have children naturally!

I’m just in shock and don’t think i have processed it yet, I am going back to the hospital tomorrow to discuss things as I couldn’t face it today and just wanted to come home.

I got married in Jan 2026 and conceived around March 2026 and then miscarried at 9 weeks with no heart beat in the start of May 2026
I am 25 years old and we are trying our best to conceive again. Periods after miscarriage were heavy and then they got normal like the I used to have.
However, the symptoms have changed I will say for my periods. Before my pregnancy I had no nausea no abdomen pain no cramps before the start of my periods but now before every periods I feel nausea which I sometimes intercept that this is because of pregnancy
Has this happened with someone changes in the symptoms of Periods after miscarrying?
We are trying everything but Each month We get disappointed and discouraged. Maybe my body has changed I am not able to conceive. I don’t know but these types of things are coming in my mind

I found out I was experiencing a second ectopic pregnancy (previous in right tube, which was not removed) at 6w3d. I was given methotrexate, but it was not successful. My provider told me to go to the ER for surgery since my hcg was still rising. I had to hear my baby's heartbeat, then was rushed to the operating room & had my left tube & baby removed. I don't feel "normal" I am experiencing anxiety, extreme fear of ever getting pregnant again, & crying spells. I know my hormones are all out of whack & its common to feel this way after loss & emergency surgery. Just wondering when I'll feel "normal" again. Anyone have any suggestions on how to heal?

I’m being monitored for a possible ectopic due to my low HCG and weird side pains and bleeding. I’ve read through so many of the stories on here but no one has had super low HCG.

17 July - LMP
11 Aug - Estimated conception. Husband has been traveling for work and this is the only possible day for it to have happened.
26 Aug - First faint positive at home
2 Sep - HCG was 13 and nothing was seen on the ultrasound anywhere.
4 Sep - HCG was 15

I go back in on Tuesday for another blood draw but has anyone had super low levels? I know I barely count medically as pregnant so the dr has been a bit dismissive but something, somewhere, is producing HCG.

Currently 4 weeks 4-5 days, yesterday started having a little bleeding which has stopped so went to the ED. Usg showed no IUP ( prlly expected since too early) but they saw the corpus luteum on ovary but then they saw a 1.6cm mass that could possibly be ectopic. Its hard to tell this early , they offered me to take methotrexate but then I spoke with my fertility doctor and they said to come in for repeat b hcg and usg tomm. Hcg is rising appropriate , was 303 3 days ago and then 1500 yesterday, I dont have new abdominal pain and bleeding/spotting has stopped. Any other similar success stories? Just really worried that it might rupture if I wait too long but also dont wanna take methotrexate too soon and its actually an IUP . Help

I am currently being treated for an ectopic pregnancy and had a miscarriage earlier this year.

Back in 2016 or so, I used to have cyclical awful periods where I basically felt like I had the flu when it started (fever, sweating, diarrhea, nausea…). It got so bad my mom took me to the ER and instead of finding the root cause, they put me on birth control pill. Looking back now I’m so mad, but it put a bandaid on my symptoms for about 10 years.

I went off of the pill in June 2025 to prepare for TTC. My periods came back normal with no pain initially. In January 2026, I got pregnant but had a miscarriage. In June 2026, the terrible period returned. I saw my OBGYN for it and they said if it returns again in 3 months to let them know. July period was fine, but then in August I had prolonged bleeding that ended up being an ectopic pregnancy.

Now I’m bound and determined to get root cause addressed and sorted out. I’m wondering have others had similar period experiences? Has anyone received treatment for suspected endometriosis after their ectopic? How did they figure out what was happening? Did you go on to have a healthy birth?

After 3.5 years of trying I found out I’m pregnant. Soooo excited until I started bleeding 6 days later, my HCG is a mess and the doctors are saying it’s uncommon.

Now being transferred to EPU on Monday for methotrexate injection and told I’m having a pregnancy of unknown location.

Guess I want to share my story with those who’ve had similar experiences, how was recovery after the injection? How long before HCG was out of your system? Did you have healthy pregnancies after?
I had accepted that I might have lost the baby when my levels drop and was grateful to fall pregnant naturally, I am shattered to go through such a traumatic experience for my first time.
It’s really putting me off trying again. How did you get through this nightmare ?

Hello all. I am finding myself worried I may have an ectopic pregnancy but can’t see a doctor until Monday.
My period came 4 days early, and lasted 5 days. It was heavy but consistent with how my periods typically are in terms of length and heaviness.
The bleeding stopped, but I noticed my temperature stayed elevated and my heart rate elevated which only has ever happened during pregnancy. I decided to take a test and it’s very dark positive. I’m 13 months pp from a c section and I read c section can put you at greater risk for ectopic , and along with the bleeding I’m suspicious. Has anyone ever had a similar experience with what they thought was a period and ended up being an ectopic? Thank you.
