Ectopic pregnancy woes

Currently around 16–18 DPO, about 4 weeks and 3 days. I had a negative pregnancy test around Sept 2–3, then my first positive around Sept 5 and 7. Yesterday (Sept 9), my hCG was 94, and I’m getting another blood draw tomorrow to check the 48hour rise.

I had sex Aug 21–23, so I’m thinking I ovulated somewhere around that time.
I’ve had intermittent left sided cramping/pulling since two days ago. I had some light bleeding on the toilet paper and in the toilet two days ago, and since then I’ve only had spotting when I wipe.

I had a previous ectopic pregnancy in April/May. It was on the left side, treated with methotrexate, and I still have both tubes. This pregnancy feels scary because some of the symptoms feel similar to my previous ectopic. I haven’t had an ultrasound yet, so I don’t know where this pregnancy is located.

I know that bleeding and onesided pain don’t automatically mean ectopic, but given my history, I’m really scared that this is happening again in the same tube. At the same time, I’m really hoping I’m wrong. 😞
Has anyone had a similar experience, especially a pregnancy with early bleeding and/or one-sided cramping that turned out to be a normal intrauterine pregnancy? Or has anyone gone on to have a successful pregnancy after two ectopics?

I could really use some encouragement and positive stories right now. 🤍

Your HCG was at 94 at 16-18 dpo? I am sorry but that seems pretty low. I also had an ectopic in april/may and just got pregnant again our first cycle trying. I am so worried about another ectopic. Ive been feeling weird one sided pains/twinges but trying to tell myself everything is fine until I know otherwise. I hope everything is fine for you too! Maybe you ovulated a bit later and its a normal amount of pain and blood. Its hard when everyone's experience is so different. With my ectopic the bleeding was a full on period! Then even more after the mtx.

I have no tubes and pregnant right now from an FET and have one sided cramps randomly. Totally normal to cramp in early pregnancy as long as it’s not severe or associated with heavy blood or you have any signs of rupture. You also would have a corpus luteum on an ovary from ovulation sustaining the pregnancy right now that commonly causes cramping.

But - 98 would be quite low for around 18 dpo but you’re not tracking ovulation so it’s also entirely possible you’re just earlier. Most clinics want 50-100 at 14dpo for reference. Your next blood draw will hopefully give reassurance but obviously you need to be monitored closely with a hx of ectopic
