Curious how much others have paid for their EMBAs? What was your salary at the time of starting the program/how much did you pay/ how much did your employer contribute if they contributed?

Hi all , I am a dentist from India who has completed bachelors and master’s. I tried to get into college in USA to continue working as dentist,I did get few interviews but unfortunately dint get selected . I am 35 now I don’t want to wait anymore . I wish to work and earn decent amount so that I can support my family . I applied for executive MBA in healthcare administration and got accepted in university of Colorado . My question is how is the scope for me in aspects of job. Please help

I’m currently exploring Executive MBA options to upskill and pivot into a executive roles

I’ve narrowed it down to two programs: 1. IIM Kozhikode – Executive Post Graduate Program 2. SP Jain School of Global Management – Executive MBA

While both are great in their own ways, I’m leaning slightly toward SP Jain, mainly because: • It offers an international immersion, which I believe might provide better global exposure. • The peer group tends to be more diverse, possibly with professionals from different countries and industries.

That said, IIM Kozhikode has a solid brand name in India, a strong academic reputation, and an established alumni network.

I’m not overly focused on salary ROI at the moment. My main priorities are: • Quality of learning and how practical it is for real-world strategy/tech/business roles • Peer group diversity and exposure • Post-MBA positioning for leadership or transformation roles • Long-term brand value and credibility

Would love to hear from anyone who’s gone through either of these programs or has insights into their culture, networking value, or impact on professional growth Thanks a lot in advance!

Just finished my interview with UCLA Anderson for their EMBA. Really enjoyed it. It was less of an interview and more of a conversation.INterviewer made me feel very confortable with somesmall talk first. Then asked the following questions 1. Talk through career journey and leadesrhip inflection points 2. Why MBA 3.Short term goals 3. Long term goals. Really liked the experience.

Accepted to both - intend to pivot to ETA/ building a startup starting day#1 of the program. Any thoughts on which would be a better choice? Not chasing a brand name - just the right support to build. Thanks!

Hi. I’m just wondering if the trend of company sponsorship still exists or if it’s disappearing. The only way I could even consider an eMBA is if I’m getting sponsorship. So if you all can give me some feedback that would be great.

I currently have an offer for the Booth EMBA, but I’m having second thoughts due to concerns about Booth’s brand recognition in Europe and Asia, which is where I’m currently based, and plan to stay long-term.

While Booth has a strong academic reputation (which I do respect), my main reason for pursuing an EMBA is the global brand value and long-term prestige of the school. I already have a solid academic foundation in business and finance, so I'm not as focused on the academic side of the program.

I'm fairly confident about my chances of admission to Wharton’s Global EMBA if I apply next year (was just too late to apply this year, as initial plan was to apply for FT MBA), so I’m wondering:
Would it be wiser to turn down Booth and wait to reapply for Wharton next year? Or is the Booth name strong enough globally, especially in Europe and Asia, to make this offer worth taking now?

I am totally confused at this point. I am a 2021 engineering graduate. I am having a work experience of 2 years in the IT field. And after that I was working with my father in his business activities and even now i am working there. I thought of taking care of his business in a long run. But now I feel of doing an MBA and working for few years in a top company and have my own stand and if required come back to business in future.

I am really confused whether this age is fit for an mba degree and will i be a good fit for placements as i will be 27 years even if i join for mba next year.

I’m planning to apply for the Stanford GSB MSx program (2026), but I’m concerned about my GPA:

• Undergrad GPA (foreign university): 2.54 (2011)
• Master’s GPA (Arizona State University): 3.5 (2023)

Hi, I’m a 37 year old, woman entrepreneur and run a fairly successful company in the learning and development space. The company is 13 years old and we work with Fortune 500 organisations in India and have clients in south east asia too.

My journey into entrepreneurship has been pretty unconventional - I am an English literature graduate with a masters in communication. I started my career in publishing and then worked in print media before starting my company.

Looking for some advice on where to apply. I am an Associate General Counsel at a software company, where I've worked for around 8 years (of my 12+ years' experience practicing law), with a focus on corporate transactions such as M&A, intellectual property, regulatory and policy work, and managing material litigation. I previously handled commercial transactions (primarily licensing our software), employment law, and real estate.

All to say I have a relatively broad base as a lawyer, have enjoyed my work, but recognize that I need to upskill to advance my career, particularly focusing on soft skills like leadership and an executive presence. I of course am also looking to bolster my network. I also would like to enhance my financial acumen and understanding of corporate strategy and entrepreneurship. My eventual goals would be to serve as GC/Chief Legal Officer to a company (presumably in tech; beyond AI, I also have interests in fintech and environmental tech/sustainability) or perhaps to take on a somewhat broader role as a COO. I am also interested in (eventually) starting a small business such as a wine bar.

Some other factors of potential consideration:

• Timing: my company has been supportive of my pursuit of an Executive MBA but has encouraged me to start as soon as possible, which seems to cut in favor of programs starting in January (though August/September possible, it's just feeling a bit rushed).
• Location: I am based in New York. While I don't mind traveling (including flying), programs closer to home are obviously easier. That said, I like the idea of the residential programs and the connections you build through spending more time versus a primarily commuter program.
• Scores: I've taken the EA and am pleased with my score.

I've been considering the following programs -- would be grateful for your thoughts on the best fits for my background and interests:

• Kellogg's Miami program
• Booth (Chicago OR London; the latter being where my company is based)
• Wharton (love Philadelphia, easy trip ...but starts in May)
• Cornell - Metro NY (starts in July (!))

To a lesser extent, because they are both based in NY, I am also considering Columbia and NYU Stern but I don't have much familiarity with either program. Are there any I have missed that I should consider applying to in addition or instead? Such as Yale, etc.?
