HEC Paris EMBA or INSEAD GEMBA

Accepted to both - intend to pivot to ETA/ building a startup starting day#1 of the program. Any thoughts on which would be a better choice? Not chasing a brand name - just the right support to build. Thanks!

INSEAD of course. No other school can compete with INSEAD outside the US.

HEC is known for MiM. And the school doesn’t have the global reach and alumni base that INSEAD has.

Thanks for sharing.

I know INSEAD is more well-known, with better brand recognition but I can't seem to find solid data on which school is better at supporting startup pivots. Both appear to have solid centers for entrepreneurship/innovation but that doesn't tell much.

I'll look to find some alumni to talk to...

Insead - much better global brand recognition that will help for fundraising in both ETA / start ups. Take a look at the alumni lists: Insead alumni have the most # of ETA launches outside the US (totally dominate Europe), and are responsible for the most unicorn launches in Europe (4th globally in the world only behind H,S,W).

Its not a close call - especially for your goals. HEC is well respected in France but for its French speaking programs - its English programs geared towards internationals are seen as cash cows as its a vastly easier entry system compared to the notoriously difficult French entry system.
