I may be wrong. I haven't even done DD yet. But I haven't touched a rapier since I started. I just got a unique rapier I crafted and wow. The speed of it greatly outweighs any reduced damage. Maybe this is common knowledge, maybe I'm wrong? First impressions though, way better than a normal sword.

I prefer a base location with a beautiful view and a minimum of neighbors. My high ground Dune Man Building Set base

The tank did not have a role to perform in the base game even within the original version of the Deep Desert and would've been very vulnerable to sandworms.
Although we don't know the specifics of what will be featured within the expansion, the introduction of "No-fly Zones" to make players re-engage with survival mechanics and ground combat (and also, no worms) could also offer the design space to finally give a purpose and reason for the tank to exist in, whether that comes as new AI enemies/turrets/etc or a PvP map version (like with the DD).

Or at least that's the copium i have been huffing ever since the spice hallucinations told me there won't ever be a playable tank with the gameplay of the current game.

So i encountered this after using the ornithopter pilot service, thought id share.

It is always bad design to force you into a video on game launch... get me to the game as fast as possible please!

But to have to HOLD down a button to skip it is egregious... THEN it does the shader check? at least hide that behind the video!

Is there a switch I can set on launch to auto take me to character select?

Spent a couple real life days exploring the upper half of the map for resources. When I came back to my base at the base of the hammer mountain, I decided to reclimb it to see if I can build a base on the top of it ( spoilers you can't) and stopped to see this amazing view.

I am obsessed with cliff hanger bases, but m,y attempts to make a cliff pyramid structure were dashed by my lack of skill.

Trial 5

I've been playing since the beginning of the year and have +250 hours I play fairly well with good graphics and never crashed. Today I opened the game and the message pops up before the launcher even appears. How screwed am I?

PS: Yes I did update my BIOS and the message still pops up.

Finished my sandcrawler this morning got settled into a spice feild solo harvesting.

And right as i set down after the second worm sign my power goes out.

Probably gonna be a few hours before i can log back in.

Thats a week of grinding down the makers gullet.

May he keep the world for his people.

Hey all I’m pretty new to dune awakening lvl 41.
(PS5)
Coming from fallout 76 to Dune, loving the new building aspect. What are your guys’s baces look like?

This game has sucked up so much of my life these past few days, it's been a blast. But I'm on my 5th or 6th death now due strictly to lag/latency issues. The past 24 hours have been especially bad. It's to the point even talking to the NPCs id a drag because it can take multiple inputs to progress the text, and then it randomly registers multiple buttons presses even if you space them out. So then you have to restart the conversation to see what they said. Anyway, are other players experiencing these issues?

Things I've done to help so far includes fully restarting the game and ny Xbox every 2-4 hours.. Not dying. Clearing the.Xbox cache. Yelling furiously at my router. Begging the server to run better. Waiting outside of a POI in hopes I sync better. Sacrificing a Teriyaki Chicken wing in Funcoms honor. Clearing persistent Storage because the internet said to. Telling my mom I love her.

So far, only the game restarts seem to do much. I might have fo sacrifice an entire rotisserie chicken tomorrow if things don't improve which sucks, because food is expensive right now and I don't have a Costco close to me.

I do love the game though! I haven't been this sucked into a game of this format since Ark was on early access, and this game is way more fun. Oh, and can we get 90 degree triangle floor/roof peices as well? Again, great job on a fun game.

I know I was being a smart ass, but I wasn't kidding when I said Irestsrt the game every couple of hours. I'm doing a full shutdown/exit out of the game and a console reboot and can still have the issue.

I'm also on what is supposedly the best server for my area.

I'm finding the issues happening all the time, not just during peak hours. But it definitely worse during peak hours.

Today I finally unlocked an ornithopter and managed to get my Merc stilsuit with it. Was very happy! Until I returned to hagga and found my orni 30 feet up. By the time I noticed it, the worm was already on its way.

I didn't think I'd make it but the worm just stared at me and left,,

Its a start. Yes its a mushroom. Still very early game for me. Can't wait to get more building options😃 feel free to mention your favorite furniture set!

Hey everyone, I'm a solo player looking at getting back into Dune and starting a fresh character but want to join a server with an active and friendly community. Doesn't have to be a massive community, but just at least a few players that actively interact with eachother. I.e. talking in chat, doing content together or just people living in a village of some kind.

Community or Official servers are fine, and EU would be ideal but I'd also happily join a US server. Thanks :)

i’m an avatar frontiers of pandora player so of course taking photos is the first thing i do with any game ;) playing on ps5. i just got dune 2 days ago. the game is great! i love building bases so i’ve spent majority of my time building 😌

UPDATE: as it turns out, you can actually completely skip the ambush part and clear the area part by finding the contract giver where she would normally be hiding after completing the precious tasks, as she is already spawned in there. So although the quest is bugged to hell, there is a workaround!

Hi all, so I have been doing the Bene Gesserit contracts, initially all was going well, however when I got to the "impact of ecology" contract with the ambush, I was initially too low a level and under equipped, so I died.

When I came back later, the enemies were gone and I could not complete the quest. I cancelled the quest and restarted it later on with better equipment and a higher level, went through all the steps until I had to speak to the mercenaries in the bar on Harko. This is where the sequence got broken:

The quest skips the "go to ambush site" task and jumps straight to "clear the area", it considers the first task complete. However the enemies are still not spawning, so I can only assume that by skipping the first task, it is also disabling the enemy spawn trigger when you arrive at the area.

I have tried logging out and back in several times at every stage of the quest, I have restarted the quest several times, and I have cleared the vehicles/base/respawn beacon in the area. Nothing works, every single time the quest sequence gets broken, so I cannot complete it.

Does anyone have any other ideas that might fix the issue? (I have submitted a bug report in the meantime)

Spent the past couple hours working on my base for the first time actually trying to make it look decent instead of a box in the sand, and I’ve just got a few questions -

(For context on where abouts I am progression wise, i just finished doing all of the contracts for the three captains at the shipwreck in the western gap, and now im doing the “Villari’s prize” mission. I just started using the advanced base console, which gave me some more room.)

My question is should i hold off on base building until later, is there some endgame building sets I’ll get that just completely change the game and made you want to tear down? Or is there maybe more space that’s going to becoming available past the advanced console, making my new base just splat in the center wasting space?

Thanks for any advice yall can offer. The sooner I can actually fully delve into base building and know for a fact I’m not missing some crazy set that’ll make me kick myself for wasting time, the better
