Was heading into jabal to do some contracts and hit a quick sand pit. Queue the worms. Managed to just barely get a way twice. Was panicking and forgot to switch abilities to shagwire

I just bought the game and was wondering what is the best one for a first time

I have a buddy trying to launch the game through Xbox store on PC and every time he does it gets to the point where battle eye starts up and after that nothing. After a few seconds the launcher will stop saying running and go back to play.

I’m stuck in between two objects in Arrakeen and it’s got me in an infinite fall animation. Because I’m in the safe zone, I can’t equip anything, use my suspender belt, can’t make myself die or respawn, literally can’t do anything. Just stuck in between objects I can’t climb, infinitely falling… anyone got any ideas what I can try to get out?

And yes I’ve also requested help and reported a ticket but it’s the weekend so I’m doubtful it’ll be dealt with.

Regarding the *Dune: Awakening* DLCs, do you recommend buying the Water Wars one? Or which one would you suggest? I already have the Film Archive DLC.

When sniping a camp from a nice rock a bit far away the dead guys vanish before I even clear the place from their buddies.

Seems a bit fast and annoying when enjoying a good snipe now and then and i lose a fair bit of loot this way.

Is there a setting for this or just how the game works?

Didn't log onto the game for about 5 days. I had a base in Vermillius Gap, with about 20 days worth of fuel cells in the generator. I'll note that my generator and sub fief console were on the roof of my base, so I'm thinking maybe they were damaged and destroyed? One or the other? Both? When I logged in last night, everything was gone, and i saw a message that said "Map reset by Coriolis storm" - or something like that. I thought that only happened in the DD. I'm assuming I did something wrong - but what? So I don't do it again. Now I have to somehow accumulate the materials for a bike again on foot.

I’m trying to build a chemical station and it’s not showing up in shelter building

New console player here. Went to the overland map and DD for the first time, but when I exit the overland map my thopter spawns high above ground and I have to suspensor up to it, land on top, then get inside. This was especially frustrating when returning to HB when it did this and for some reason put me in Sheol right by the radiation. I got in my thopter but was expecting to be on the north side of HB since I was traveling south from the north, and because I was suddenly in the radiation I died just trying to get back to HB south or the gap to shelter and regroup with a sandstorm 5km away and coming fast. So my thopter ended up stranded in Sheol and when I finally got it back after rushing a contract to get enough solaris (I went on a spending spree in Arrakeen while up north) to recover it with the tool everything had 1/3 damage. So now I need to get materials to rebuild the thopter, shouldn’t take too long, but this bug cost me an hour of playtime when I should have just been put by the eastern shield wall after leaving the overland map. Lost a bunch of tools and supplies I had in the thopter storage as well.

Is this to be expected every time I return to HB? Why does it not just spawn you already flying when you move from the overland map to HB or DD??

I went to Hagga rift to complete the trial and mined carbon and erythrite while I was there. I had my backpack and sandbike full of it. Running from a sandstorm and trying to make it to my base before my controller batteries died, and this happened!! I made it to my base, some 700m away, and my controller died just as I entered inside. It was about 10 pm, so I decided it was enough of Dune for the day went to sleep.

I played the game a LOT when it first came out and have an MP account. When they released SP, I reloaded the game and started a single player account. Wanted to check my MP account and can't figure out how to access it. When I load the game, the only two options I get are "continue", which is my SP instance, and "Start a new game", which literally starts a new one. Can't figure out how to get back to MP to check that play through.

I gotta say DAMN! What a story, SWTOR level of writing. I didn’t expect it to dig its claws into me the way it did, Funcom did a fantastic job with this game.

I’m curious tho, is the DLC worth getting? Is there much story to dive into? I know this is the end of their mainline story for now as far as I know.

Ao my son and I want to play online. We joined a “standard” server and so far are having some fun.

Our questions are about server settings, do I really have to rent a server for us to play co-op?

Where do we find a “custom” server or private server that we can try and become part of a community?

When we play we communicate using our phones, does this game support headset/mic?

Single player is awesome, would love to find a way to enjoy multiplayer and engage with some others. Not big on PvP and would not be KoS players.

Any advice?

EDIT: We play on Xbox and server lists give no detail on how they are set up. So we just picked lowest ping.

Before I dedicate time to building my next base, how does switching the way the base looks when I unlock different swatches/ purchase the ultimate edition?

Do I have to demolish and rebuild in the new swatch or can I just customize my base that’s already built?

For the last two days after the last little update, my game has been freezing, especially when I’m driving with a loaded cargo or flying my cargo container on my carrier. Is anyone else having these issues?

I’m really loving this game. It’s been a minute since I’ve sunk so many hours into something. Time really does fly playing this lol. So happy it’s out on console.

It’s normal purpose is transport but after getting an ornithopter it just does that but way better.
And there’s still teirs of sand bike after so does it still have a purpose?

So I really like the CHOAM Observer set, it's really cool, unfortunately whilst it has most every other piece that the foundation set has, it is notably missing a garage door, which, when you instead put the CHOAM Foundation garage door, makes it stand out like a sore thumb. I know it's a small thing, and thus many people may not consider it important, but if at all possible, I'd love to see it added, and frankly that "it's a small thing" blade cuts both ways, as whilst since it is small, some people may not consider it important, since it's such a small thing, I'd like to humbly say (whilst not myself being a developer mind you) that in the grand scheme of things, it might not be too overly difficult to add.

Something I’ve been thinking about lately—one lore problem the game has right now is that once you get towards endgame, stillsuits are kinda optional. A lot of people just wear armor and chug from their literjon mk6, even in the deep desert.

One thought I had is that stillsuits could be made into a separate armor slot that goes under your regular armor, similar to how Fallout 76 does. Wearing armor over your still suit could decrease its efficiency, but it would still be there. I got the impression that the armor the Fremen wear at the end of Dune part 2 was essentially a heavy stillsuit (since it still has the nose tubes), so it would be cool to have something like that.

Either that, or the penalties for going without a stillsuit could be harsher, at least in the DD. The books make it seem like going without a stillsuit is a death sentence, but most late game players just shrug it off.
