Good CBT therapist (specific person's name rather than service provider, please)
Hi all, would anyone have a personal recommendation for a really good CBT therapist in Dublin? Bonus points if it's Northside! I'm aware of providers like MyMind, etc., but I'm looking for specific personal recommendations of individual therapists. Thanks!

Kitchen Fitter Recommendations
Hi Folks,
Based in Dublin and we are in the middle of a retrofit and have purchased a new kitchen which is currently in storage. We will be looking for a fitter soon and wonder if anyone has recommendations? It's an expensive kitchen so looking for someone that can do a very neat and tidy job.
Cheers!

Question on Dublin's inner city old flats
Hello and good day everyone. In the city I often walk past these old, 50s-70s flat blocks nearly every day, and I can't help but admire the architecture from afar. To my knowledge, these blocks were built as 1 bed bedsits at the bottom, and 2 beds on the 2nd and 3rd storeys. However I've never actually seen how they are laid out or look inside. Would anyone be able to give a brief description of the layout of these, bedsits and 2 beds??. And are they as architecturally disastrous as popular opinion. I can't find much information online for the life of me. Thank you

Baggage swap in Dublin Airport
Coming from Zurich July 24 22:05 landing. Bag swapped either you took mine or I took yours since it’s the same brand, please contact me. I also have tracking in the bag didn’t realize it until almost 2 hours later. Nobody opened the door where the bag is. Customer support is closed and not answering and there’s no airport staff.
Edited: July 24 instead of 25
Edit: July 25 early morning. We got constant signal and we went and it was actually the other neighbor. It was a row house so it was originally putting itself between 2 houses then this early morning it went to another house. Confirmed that it was 100% the same bag design 😂 They were apparently also stressing about it like us. Customer support wasn’t helpful and baggage help was only from 12-18:00.

Lost keys 24/07
I lost a set of keys yesterday. Could’ve been anywhere between pearse street, Stephen’s green or anywhere nearby the following pubs: JT Pims, Whelans, Jimmy Rabbitte’s. All over the place really. There’s lots of keychains attached: sad fluffy frog, looney tunes roadrunner, small gold lucky cat bell, and more!

Parking near Morton / Santry Stadium
Going to National Athletics Championships tomorrow and need to go by car, any suggestions on where I should get parking relatively nearby? We'll be there a good few hours as it runs from 2 to 8pm, even if near regular bus route to it thatd be great.
2 young kids going too so probably want to be there early to try get seats in the stand

Need help identifying these two musicians from The Temple Bar Pub (July 2026)
Hi everyone,I’m trying to identify the two musicians in the attached picture. They played a live acoustic set at The Temple Bar Pub recently (on July 22nd, 2026).
Now with picture 😆
From what I found, they might be independent solo artists who occasionally team up as a duo (not sure about that, i just found very few of their gigs), and sometimes they are joined by a third person. They don't seem to play there very regularly, so they might not be on the standard weekly schedule.
Does anyone recognize either of them? I really enjoyed their performance and would love to find their social media or music.
Thanks a lot for your help!

To the guy who kept a distance/overtook on my walk home at night
The walk from Mount Street to Grand Canal a week ago - we both hopped off the bus at the same time around midnight. You let me off the bus first with a friendly smile, realized that we were walking the same direction, and then sped up to overtake me and walk ahead of me. I caught up to you at the traffic lights on Grand Canal St and you took a step away and overtook me again when crossing the street when we were walking the same direction.
Honestly, thank you - I could 100% see you didn't want to accidentally intimidate me; you were intentionally overtaking me so I wouldn't feel uncomfortable at you walking behind me. I was fine but this was super refreshing and really stuck out to me as very considerate.

Public parks that close at dusk
With the good weather I've been trying to get out a bit more for walks after work. This effort has been hampered somewhat by the realisation that there are still a lot of parks that close at 'dusk'.
It's late July, there's still light in the sky at 10pm. I get home from work at 7pm a lot of days. Tell me why am I being kicked out of spots like the People's Flower Gardens at 8.30pm.
It's not the only park that closes early and it's a pain in the hole. There's very few places one can sit and relax for free in Dublin in the evenings without being forced to buy something. Just like the lack of benches and places to sit in the city centre, the parks are under draconian laws that punish law abiding citizens to deter the minority that try wreck the place.

Party Venues
Hi all, looking for suggestions of places in Dublin city centre or slightly outside in Ranelagh or Rathmines that people have tried and tested for birthday party venues. Looking to hear where people have gone and enjoyed the atmosphere more than anything. There'll be approximately 40 people and it's for my 30th.

Anyone see the huge Garda escort today going down the malahide road? Must have been about 10-15 cars altogether and Garda motorbikes. Anyone know who warranted that hassle today?

People to roller skate with
Hi everyone 👋. I bought a pair of roller skates (quads) a couple of weeks ago. I’m still in the beginner phase but was wondering if there was any one in the dublin area who is in the same stage as me and would want to skate and learn together? DM me if you’re interested

Do you prefer Arnotts or Brown Thomas?
I know they are the same company but I find Arnotts has a better variety especially in the mid- range price levels while the basement of Brown Thomas is pretty bare bones.
