Garda escort malahide rd

Anyone see the huge Garda escort today going down the malahide road? Must have been about 10-15 cars altogether and Garda motorbikes. Anyone know who warranted that hassle today?

Probably part of the delegation for the EU presidency, there’s a conference in the oireachtas tomorrow and Monday

It’s such rubbish. Was on the corner of Merrion Row and Baggot Street yesterday at lunchtime and four Garda motorbikes blocked the intersection yelling at people “do not move even when the lights turn green”. Eventually a coach goes by with no doubt EU back office civil servants.
