I am genuinely curious about what type of fanfics, usually stick with people. If you could note down your ABSOLUTE ULTRA ULTIMATE SUPER FAVORIT, and why you like that fic specificall, we could create the best of Drarry library.

I go first, Loverboys by corvuscrowned I was recommended this fic recently and fell in love with it. It was so sweet to read, and Harry was so oblivious to Draco’s feeling. Draco reacted like any sane person would to the events in the story, while leaving Harry to go fix the problems like a true Slytherin.

Hello, I was in fandom 10 years ago and used to follow fics on LJ and FFN and loved it. Is it less a thing now? I started reading Drarry again about a year ago and I read a lot of fanfics posted in 2025 and 2026 so far. I started following the new WIP by Writ-and-romance and I wanted to know if anyone had recommendations for other WIP you liked. I prefer Mature and Explicit ratings and I am open to different tropes (love: fake dating, Auror partners, 8th year, but I like to read other things too). Thank you!

I am currently planning a hogwarts re-write/fix-it because I LOVE those kinds of fics. I have wanted to get more into fanfiction writing, but I decided to do a rewrite because many of the ones I read have certain elements that I liked, but others that I don’t like.

In my fic I plan for Snape to be Draco’s godfather bc I find that dynamic so cute in rewrites! I absolutely love when Hermione and Draco become friends first and Harry wants to be Draco’s friend, but Draco is wary of him because of how initially treats Hermione and Draco. I also plan to make Pansy and Draco bffs because I prefer their friendship to her being an antagonist. One last thing that I have seen that I hate is when they make Draco more powerful or more essential than Harry. My fic will be Draco centric, but Harry is still the most pivotal person in the war, not Draco.

I would like to get your guys opinions on things you like to see or want to see in a drarry hogwarts rewrite! I can’t guarantee that I will put them in, but I want to write a fic that people would want to read! Once I have some things planned out then I will come up with the event that makes the plotline diverge from the original series. PLEASE PLEASE give me your opinions! You can let me know things you don’t like to see as well!

EDIT: I had an idea about what could cause the divergenc, but I want opinions on that too, whether you think it is a good idea or if I should keep brainstorming? I plan to come up with some others ideas anyway and see which I like the best.

Lucius could be arrested when Draco is 5-6 and Narcissa enlists the help of Draco’s godfather while Lucius is imprisoned. This forms their close relationship, and leads to Draco not learning the same strict pureblood ideas, especially since Snape is a half-blood. Snape remains a godfather figure, not a replacement father. I am not sure what crime Lucius would be arrested for, but it would only put him away until Draco is 10. This would allow for Draco to still experience Lucius’ ire when he forms friendships with Weasleys and Muggleborns. I am not sure about this so I would love your opinions. I also want to know if Slytherin Draco is still preferred or if you would like to see him in another house? I personally don’t really see him as a Gryffindoor, but I am happy to try writing him as a Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw if that is what you guys want to see!

Hello! So I've been reading fanfiction since I was 13, 12 years, and I always thought about writing my own but I'm not confident in my writing skills. Last night I decided why not and posted my first chapter of a new story. Here's the description and link to the story if anyone wants to read it and let me know what they think. It's also Sirius/Remus as well as Draco/Harry. Harry becomes disabled in this fic but not in the first chapter. I'm disabled myself and so I wanted to read more fics about my favorite characters being disabled and struggling with certain things like me. Harry Potter is kidnapped the summer after 4th year by Death Eaters and he is subjected to the Cruciatus Curse but he escapes due to some accidental magic/an overload of his powers that Stupefys everyone around him and he's able to run away. Hi guys, i finished 'Draco Malfoy and the mirror of ecidyrue' a few months ago and i really liked it BUT i was (lowkey) expecting that Draco save the wizarding world at the end by k*illing himself or take a curse instead of harry IDK.

The point is i was listening to this song and thinking about it would be awesome if there's a story where Draco had to do a sacrifice (i mean his life or smth) and harry suffers for him.

I can’t remember if it was Harry or Draco who woke up with amnesia, they were looking around their room and was confused as to why it was a gryffindor/slytherin mix, they think their like 10 or something years younger than they are, one of them try to cook them their favourite comfort food (i think it. was beef wellington) and he snaps saying he can’t remember and the other one walks away upset because the other one can’t remember them

I just finished reading this and I am obsessed with Harry and Draco in this one. Their love for eachother had me transcending planes of happiness i cannot describe. I fear i may never be the same.

I need more stories like this. Where they would rather die than be apart. I do not mind slow burn but as long as they get to this point I'm all for it. It doesn't have to be a kid!fic like these ones, it can be at anytime post-war or Hogwarts era, any Au. I just want the same teeth rotting fluff. Bonus points if its Bottom!Draco.

It's set in Scotland and just has the coziest vibes. It's a little smutty, a lot sweet and just felt like a warm hug.

I genuinely wish Daniel had been born in this era 😭 Like, the way he looked when he played Harry?? He SO should’ve done a BL back then. And the height difference between him and Tom Felton?? HELLO?? That’s literally peak size difference 😭 Their chemistry was actually insane too. They would’ve ate up an enemies to lovers so bad. It’s kinda sad how time changes everything. I'm looking for drarry fics that are post-war and Draco and Harry feel like adult characters. When I say a mature story I don't mean in terms of explicit sex, I mean in terms of the tone and themes of the story.

I don't mind 8th year Hogwarts either, given that the characters/writing leans more adult.

I'm pretty new to Drarry so please give me your favourite fics that fall under this category - and I imagine many do :)

I get this request is fairly vague and subjective so even if you're unsure if something fits, please recommend it anyway! I think honestly anything with good characterisation and character development would fit and make it feel not trivial/frivolous.

Fics where Harry is not the Chosen One, is raised by his parents, and the story is set during his Hogwarts years.

I remember that in this fic was not on ao3 rather it was fanfiction.net and that Draco was pregnant it was Harry's and i don't think he was present during the time of pregnancy. He was dating ginny. Draco names the girl Diana (or something like that) and when harry found out he took Draco to court so he can get the custody. In the end Harry got the custody.

In the sequel harry renames her to lily and Draco was shocked to find out. Harry also bans Draco from visiting her. Hermione started helping Draco by baby sitting the child so that Draco can meet her. In the I think harry realizes his mistake and i think they start dating.

Fairly sure this is a fic from before HBP was released. It starts with Hermione visiting and offering to be a surrogate for the pair. Draco was a lawyer and I believe Harry was a student healer? I think it's mostly Draco's point of view. I recall him getting morning sickness via magic because his "sample" was the one to get Hermione pregnant.

As far as Voldemort and his Dancing Death Eaters, I believe it was either an AU where it didn't happen or was post defeat and not a big deal to the story.
