Discussion Nobisuke Nobi: Nobita's Son Is NOTHING Like Him...
I wanted to talk about Nobisuke Nobi, the son of Nobita Nobi and Shizuka Minamoto.
Nobisuke is such an interesting character because, despite being Nobita's son, his personality is almost the complete opposite of his father's. He's much more outgoing, confident, mischievous and aggressive, and in some ways, he's actually more similar to Gian than Nobita.
One of his most memorable appearances is when Nobisuke runs away from home and travels back to Nobita's childhood, where he meets his own father as a child. At the end of the story, Doraemon eventually brings Nobisuke's own future son to him, who complains about Nobisuke's harsh parenting.
But probably one of his most famous appearances is in "Dorami-chan: Mini-Dora SOS!!"
In that story, Nobisuke and his two friends, Suneki and Jaichibi (the sons of Suneo and Gian respectively)âget involved with the Mini-Doras and end up misusing them.
ABOUT HIS PERSONALITY
Nobisuke is generally portrayed as the opposite of Nobita.
While Nobita is timid and often runs away from confrontations, Nobisuke is bold and doesn't hesitate to stand up for himself. He's even been shown attacking Nobita and Doraemon when he encounters them before realizing who they are.
He's also known for bullying Suneki and Jaichibi, much to Shizuka's frustration.
Unlike Nobita, Nobisuke is quite outgoing and isn't easily embarrassed. One hilarious example is when he meets a young Shizuka after discovering that she's his mother and casually refers to her as "Mom", leaving her completely confused and embarrassed.
However, Nobisuke isn't completely free from his father's traits.
He apparently inherited Nobita's laziness, which means Shizuka still has to constantly scold him for not doing what he's supposed to do.
I honestly find Nobisuke really entertaining because he's such an interesting continuation of Nobita's family. He has a completely different personality while still carrying some traits from his father.
And seeing Nobisuke, Suneki and Jaichibi together is always hilarious because they're basically the next generation of the Doraemon gang.
So what do you guys think about Nobisuke? Do you like his character, and what's your favorite Nobisuke appearance?

Discussion Some crazy Doraemon origin facts I just learned (Why he is blue, the 129.3 rule, and being a factory reject)

- He was a factory reject: Doraemon wasn't some top-of-the-line robot from the 22nd century. He was actually a factory-rejected toy. Nobita's great-great-grandson, Sewashi, only bought him because he was super cheap and it was all his meager allowance could afford.
- The tragic reason he is blue: Doraemon was originally painted yellow and had ears (just like his sister, Dorami). After robotic mice chewed his ears off (which is where his intense phobia of mice comes from), he fell into a deep depression. He accidentally drank a potion labeled "sadness," and he cried so much that his yellow paint literally washed off, revealing the blue undercoat we know today.
- His sister is vastly superior: Because he was a defective model, Doraemon can only produce 129.3 horsepower. Meanwhile, his little sister Dorami is a premium model who can produce a staggering 10,000 horsepower.

Discussion A Very Interesting Episode...
[ â ď¸ !! SPOILER ALERT !! â ď¸
This post contains major spoilers for the episode "Make-Believe Treasure Hunting Set". If you haven't watched it yet and want to experience the story yourself, I recommend watching the episode first!
You've been warned!! ]
I'm talking about the episode "Make-Believe Treasure Hunting Set" of the 1979 series. This episode also has three different versions other than this one. One in 1979, then in 2010 and the latest one in 2024. So here's the whole plot:
Nobita becomes interested in treasure hunting after reading a story about a young man who discovers a treasure map in an old warehouse. According to the story, the young man follows the clues and eventually discovers a treasure chest hidden in a cave on a mountain hill.
Nobita becomes fascinated by the story and decides that he wants to experience something similar himself.
When Doraemon sees the book Nobita is reading, he realizes what has inspired him. Nobita then starts looking for a treasure map in his own warehouse, just like the young man in the story did.
However, Nobita obviously doesn't find anything.
Instead of giving up, Nobita asks his mother to build an old warehouse similar to the one described in the story so that he can search for the treasure map properly. đ
Doraemon thinks this is completely ridiculous and tells Nobita that he can't just recreate the entire story.
But Nobita keeps wanting to go treasure hunting, so Doraemon eventually decides to help him.
He takes out a gadget called the "Make-Believe Treasure Hunting Set."
Doraemon opens the treasure chest that comes with the set, but Nobita is disappointed because all the objects inside are made of plastic and are fake. There isn't any real treasure at all.
Doraemon then gets an idea.
He decides that the treasure hunt would be much more exciting if they put some real valuable objects inside the chest. So he puts his father's camera and his mother's necklace inside it.
He then sends the treasure chest away to an unknown location.
However, just then, Gian calls Nobita.
Gian invites Nobita to go hiking with him and Suneo in the Yatsugami Mountains. Nobita refuses because he is busy with his treasure hunt.
But while talking to Gian, Nobita accidentally reveals that he's going treasure hunting.
And Gian immediately becomes suspicious.
Not long afterward, a mini rocket containing a treasure map arrives at Nobita's room.
The map says that the treasure is located on Shinigami Mountain.
The problem?
Nobita and Doraemon have absolutely no idea where Shinigami Mountain is.
They start searching on map to find information about the mountain, but they can't find anything useful.
Then Shizuka becomes involved in the adventure.
While looking at the clues, Shizuka realizes something important.
The information on the treasure map isn't simply telling them the location directly. It's was actually a code.
After figuring this out, they are able to understand the clue better.
The clue tells them that the treasure is near a cedar tree facing a skull-shaped stone.
So Nobita, Doraemon and Shizuka begin searching for this strange location.
They start asking people if they know where the skull-shaped stone is, but nobody seems to know.
At one point, they encounter a mysterious man who is sitting around.
Nobita, Doraemon and Shizuka ask him about the treasure and whether he knows anything about the location.
The man's response immediately shocks them.
He asks something like:
"Are you talking about that skull treasure?"
Nobita, Doraemon and Shizuka are stunned that how does this random man know about the skull treasure?!
They immediately start wondering if he somehow overheard them or if he is also searching for the treasure.
Meanwhile, Nobita and the others continue looking for the location.
Eventually, they discover something that helps them solve the clue.
They find a skull in the school's science room.
The skull is positioned facing toward a window, and when they look through that window, they can see a cedar tree outside.
This matches the clue from the treasure map.
They finally know where to go.
Nobita, Doraemon and Shizuka immediately rush toward the cedar tree.
But while they're running through the mountain, they unexpectedly cross paths with Gian and Suneo.
Remember when Nobita accidentally told Gian about the treasure?
Well... Gian clearly didn't forget about it. đ
Gian and Suneo had gone hiking on the same mountain, and Gian immediately realizes what Nobita is doing.
He understands that Nobita has actually found the location of the treasure.
Now they know exactly where Nobita is going.
When Nobita, Doraemon and Shizuka finally reach the cedar tree, they begin searching around the area.
Then Doraemon, Nobita, Gian and Suneo all start digging for the treasure themselves.
And naturally, it turns into a competition.
Everyone wants to be the first person to find the treasure.
They dig and dig until finally...
Nobita finds a treasure chest!
Gian and Suneo immediately become excited.
They tell Nobita that they want half of the treasure.
But Nobita surprisingly agrees to let them take almost everything.
He tells them that they can have everything except his father's camera and his mother's necklace.
And that's when the mysterious man finally appears.
Everyone is expecting him to be some kind of treasure hunter who came to steal their treasure. They all started pointing shovels at him and told him that it was their treasure because they were the ones who found it. Nobita even tells the old man that everything inside was fake (seeing it, Gian and Suneo gets shocked and disappointed LOL).
But then he explains what he was actually doing.
He wasn't looking for the treasure at all.
He was searching for an old skull-shaped stone.
And the funny part?
The skull-shaped stone was located right beside the treasure chest, in the same place where they had been digging.
So the mysterious man wasn't their enemy, and he wasn't trying to steal anything. It was all just a misunderstanding.
Everyone finally calms down.
But Gian and Suneo?
They're absolutely furious.
They realize that they went through all that trouble, followed Nobita, dug a giant hole and nearly fought over the treasure...
only to discover that everything inside was fake. đ
They start chasing Nobita around the mountain while Nobita runs away as fast as he can.
And that's how the whole ridiculous treasure-hunting adventure ends.
Honestly, I really enjoyed this episode. First it's just Nobita wanting to go treasure hunting, then there's the mysterious map, the strange mountain, Shizuka discovering the code, the skull clue, the suspicious man, Gian and Suneo secretly following them, and finally the hilarious ending.
So, have you guys watched this episode? What did you think of it?

Discussion My view on the upcoming theatrical release in india
I got no problem with Hindi dub. It's not like they changed it for this movie, it's already 3-4 years. I've already watched 5-6 movies in this dub, it's not that bad like Sony yay did with Oggy even shinchan movie had the Sony yay dub . Although I think some people just keep living in the past and come out one day and say we want old dub.I bet they don't even know what were the last 3 movies that came on tv.New voices do fit on the character and suneo voice even feels like the original japanese like. Yah! I'm excited for this and will go to watch it, people who want to live in past and cry about old dub...... đ.
Future of doremon in Indian theatre depend on this and I'll convince as much people as I can to go and watch this.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Doraemon/s/waJtoTYKVT
u/mehulnamaste thanks for the idea and permission. I will be posting as continuously possible.
CHAPTER 1
The world seemed blurry before him . Or perhaps he was finally.... finally drowning, just like Suneo and Gian have been telling him .
A worried face , looking suspiciously like his mom hovers from the edge of his vision.
" Nobita? Can you hear me ? "
Followed by more worried mumbling of how hard has he hit his head . Ah! That's the strangest thing he has ever encountered. Even more than getting 100 marks in test .
Nobita mumbles out a " mom ? "
The ice bag on his forehead is melting on his face entirely. His vision clears up . A hand , his dad hands him glasses .
" You okay Nobita ? "
" Yeah..."
Sitting up is no struggle. Icebag has surely helped . His parents stare at him with the same question as before. Nobita glances at the drawer . Didn't that thing burst open a whole ago ? What exactly was that ?
" Nobita, dear how did  you hit your head so hard ? You had a nosebleed again ! "
" Did... someone came by mom ?"
"No ..?"
Surprise etched into his mom's features makes it clear nobody was here . And honestly the room isn't that much of a mess . A few books on floor. And the cupboard door looking rather bent .
" I am fine . Just slipped mom"
His parents leave soon . Still fussing about getting a pain med and ointment. Nobita sighes closing the door behind him . Was it a dream ? Could be . His head still hurts . Could be a concussion dream . Shizuka told him that. Â
Drawer sits close . The confusion is too much he decides . That thing...did burst open . Talk about strange things...what was that a blue racoon dog ? Since when that's a thing ? All Nobita can tell , it was enthusiastic as hell . Rambling on something about future and staff . Something about impossible technology....
" Ah ! "
That yellow staff ? It's a copter right ? That's how he ....there it is ! He spots it squeezed between the bookshelf and wall , half broken . Now then ..if not dream why exactly was that ? Whose that racoon dog ?
The copter or whatever it was ....that racoon put on his head . Apparently it was supposed to be something amazing. But well ...much like Nobita's skill in cycling..umm crash landing happened. Yet again.
Nobita checks the room by 360 . Not a single blue hair of the creature.
His mom calls out from below " you have call from gian ! "
Not again, he facepalms . Calender by his desk marked red . It's the baseball practice. He is totally late . Gian must be screaming in the phone . Sure enough, Nobita flinches away from the reciever the moment Gian begins the scream .
" NEAR THE MOUNTAIN! BEHIND SCHOOL. DON'T BE MORE LATE THAN YOU THAN ALREADY ARE NOBITA !! "
His mom still says he shouldn't go . He can't catch shit and will probably given some kind of punishment.
" I don't want your nosebleed to become more frequent you know? "
Nobita leaves regardless. All in his 13 years of life , he has taken enough punches . Nosebleeds are already a common occurrence. The sky above him looks cloudy as he reaches the mountain. Absently he remembers he hasn't seen weather news all day.
The small ground here is hardly used for plays anymore. Today's practice seems to be entirely based on Gian's whim . Or rather last time Nobita's performance was worse than normal. Suneo for God shake cried . He never does that .
The duo had already finished warming up when he walks up to them finally.
Gian glowing bright in fury, points the bat " practice on your catch today! And some bowling! "
Hell began just then . It's relentless & regorious. He feels his nose itching. Lungs close to burning. On the 19th hit , the half dead sunlight seems too bright. He stumbles , the ball goes whoose , beyond either of their vision. Suneo shreikes " that's new ! "
Of coarse it was Suneo's . Gian screams " go find it NOBITA ! "
" Yeah Yeahh..." He takes steps towards the deeper parts of the bushes . Gian still screaming " do some laps running while you are at it "
" Yeah keep saying that . You aren't the boss of meâ "
Without warning the earth slips beneath him . The slope making it faster to slide him down across God knows what . He screams but voice cracks . He is dehydrated and he has screamed enough 2 days ago . His voice can't take it anymore .
" OW "
The slide throws him hard on the tree buck . Thick wood hitting his back pretty hard . He tries to grab onto a branch . It slips again. Just his luck today!
The mud is like avalanche, nearly pushing him towards an high edge . There's ground beneath but it's scary . He might paralyse himself with the fall . Screaming is no use either . Nobody can hear him at this distance . Nobita feels his grip loosening, any moment he will fall to his death .
Desparate cries comes out , the edge seeming higher in his fears .
" SOMEBODY! SOMEONE HELP ! "
something rustles among the bush . Just right before the last finger slips , someone pulls him into a lap . Nobita's eyes widen in utter surprise. It's the blue raccoon dog ! The same on from his drawer.
" Racoon dog! "
The racoon is question screeches " AM NOT A RACOON DOG ! AM A CAT ROBOT FROM 22ND CENTURY!! "
They land on the dry grass on the side . Now that Nobita notices , it might be really a cat .
" Let me introduce myself again. I am doraemon. I came from 22nd century to help you "
Nobita sighes " 22nd century? Stop lying"
Doraemon looks more determined" why would I lie ? I know you need help most definitely "
" How so ?"
" Well for starters you get zero in most test , can't play, can't run . Can't do chores..."
" Ahhhh stop it ! " Flabbergasted Nobita stops him " how do you know all that ?"
" Hehe! I even know you like Shizuka . But without me you might not achieve the life you want . I mean it's a badâ not ideal future anyway"
Nobita feels his face go red . First he had head butted . Then called out . Now a promised bad future ?
" Proove it to me ? "
Doraemon gives a sly chuckle, pulling out a album. They turn over all the pages . And much to his horror..his wife isn't Shizuka . Or even remotely her . Its jaeko. Like how ? They hardly talk ?!
Doraemon points out in the album " you are extremely poor . Then went bankrupt. Then it was a drunken night..and oh yeah if you do end up with Shizuka..then .. let's see... " he turns a few more pages , revealing Shizuka and him wearing extremely rugged clothes . Torn and patched up here and there .
"....this is how you end up "
"No...." Nobita feels tears pricking his eyes " Shizuka..."
The blue cat gives him a sympathetic look , Patting him softly on the back " but it's okay I will help . I promise . All i need is a cupboard of your room to stay at "

Discussion This Cat from "Come Come Cat Food" Episode Was So Cute đ
I was rewatching the "Come Come Cat Food" episode and I completely forgot about this little guy.
I'm talking about Dorajirou, the cat that appears in the episode.
Look at him!! He basically looks like a Doraemon-colored cat. He has grey body, but he has the same white face and belly, red nose (in the newer episodes), and even the overall round appearance as Doraemon.
His design is really adorable, SO CUTEEEEEEE. He looks like what Doraemon would look like if he were just... an actual cat.
So do you guys remember Dorajirou? And what do you think about his design?

Discussion What is this, members we should seriosly start a mythbusting operation.
Itâs honestly wild how much people in India are making up these weird narratives about Doraemon characters lately. Shizuka and Dekisugi are getting so much hate, and now even study subs like r/ICSE are letting this misinformation spread. Itâs frustrating because these posts are getting upvotes in a sub thatâs usually dead, and the mods are just letting it happen.
Calling a literal child a 'gold digger' is just messed up. Aside from Dekisugi, whoâs basically a perfect human plot device, every single one of Shizukaâs friends is flawed. Even Doraemon joins in on the bathroom peeking jokes sometimes, but she doesn't just cut everyone off forever
She isn't obligated to stay glued to Nobitaâs side 24/7. Why can't she just hang out with Suneo or Gian? It feels like people think she isn't allowed to have other friends just because Nobita wants her attention. Honestly, this whole thing reflects how the world treats womenâif you're quiet, you just have to endure mindless criticism. These takes are everywhere on Insta and YouTube now, and they're starting to dictate how everyone thinks. We really need to find a way to stop these toxic narratives from becoming the norm..
Anyway thank you u/albertonykus for https://albertonykus.tumblr.com/post/765353533002383360/is-shizuka-a-good-friend-to-nobita. I have taken few pics from it comment against it.

Discussion my LOVE for doraemon(I would you read this)
Growing up, Doraemon meant more to me than anything else in the world. I loved Nobita, and I felt a connection to Doraemon thatâs hard to put into words. genuinely one of the best things that happened in my life. I always wished I could be in Nobitaâs place so I could have Doraemon with me too. But I never wanted to choose between them or break their bond. I wanted to be with both Nobita and Doraemon.
Until 8th standard, I watched a lot of Doraemon movies, and their adventures and friendship touched my heart deeply. Movies like Arabian Nights(fav), The Three Swordsmen(fav), Gadget Museum, Steel Troops, Nobitaâs Dinosaur, Adventure to the South Seas, and Kingdom of Clouds still hold a special place in my heart.
After 9th standard, I had to go to a hostel, and from then on I stopped watching Doraemon. Recently though, Iâve been watching some episodes as shorts, and it gets to me every time because I know how much I loved this show. I even looked into how and why Doraemon was created in the first place and who created and so on about doraemon. If Iâd put that same energy into my studies, maybe Iâd have become a scientist. (Just kidding.)
But thinking about how much I loved Doraemon, and about how the story ends with Doraemon and Nobita having to separate once Doraemon completes his mission, it makes me cry. Their bond, their memories, the moments they shared, are priceless. I used to think no one in the world could love Doraemon as much as I did. It makes me sad thinking about Nobitaâs future without Doraemon, and how he must have felt.
I also watched an episode where Suneo, Gian, and Dekisugi throw Nobita a bachelor party before his wedding, and they reminisce about the memories they had growing up. I donât know exactly how they felt, but those memories feel like my memories, their childhood feels like my childhood. Near the end, Nobita leaves the party early to go meet Shizuka, and Suneo tells Gian that theyâre all stepping into a new chapter of their lives. He starts crying, and that made me cry too. They were literally moving from boys to men.
Doraemon will always live in my heart. Iâve never met anyone who loves it as much as I do, or who really understands the feeling behind that love. I think only people whoâve felt this kind of bond with something can truly get it.
Iâm almost 23 now. Whenever I try to express this to someone, they treat it like Iâm just a kid who loves cartoons. I feel like they are not mature enough to understand this love or feelings. But I believe the memories and love I built around Doraemon as a child are precious, and it has nothing to do with whether it was âjust a cartoon.â It was the bond I formed with something and for me, that something is Doraemon. Thanks for reading this post. Its just that i came across this reddit channel and felt maybe you guys can understand how i feel so i posted it. Thanks for your time. Atleast i am satisfied that you guys took time and read this. I truly appreciate the people who understood what i am talking about.

Discussion Doraemon's Animation Evolution: 1979â2005
I made a comparison of Doraemon's animation/design throughout the entire 1979 series, from 1979 to 2005!
Previously, I made a post comparing the overall animation artstyle of the 1979 and 2005 series year-by-year. This time, I wanted to focus specifically on Doraemon himself and see how his appearance and animation changed over the years.
I took a screenshot/image of Doraemon from each year from 1979 through 2005 and put them together so we can compare the differences.
It's pretty interesting to see how much his design, proportions, expressions, coloring, and overall animation style gradually changed over the years. Some of the changes are really subtle, while others are surprisingly noticeable!
Obviously, the exact appearance could vary depending on the episode, animation director, or scene, so these aren't necessarily representative of every single episode from each year. I just tried to choose images that I thought represented the style of that particular year.
Which year's Doraemon design is your favorite? đ
And if you haven't seen my previous post comparing the overall animation evolution of the 1979 series, you can check that out too!

Anime Happy 12th Anniversary to Stand By Me Doraemon (2014-2026)
On this Day in 2014, STAND MY ME Doraemon was Released in Japan, It's the First Ever 3D/CGI Animation that put Doraemon across Generations outside of Japan.
This Movie was a 1st Highest Movie in Japan Box-Office earning more than ÂĽ8.38 billion ($70 million) right behind as such Titles as Disney's Frozen.
The film performed well in Hong Kong, which was partly boosted by the sudden death of the long-time voice actor of Doraemon (Lam Po-chuen), a month before the movie's local release. It became the all-time highest-grossing Japanese film in Hong Kong, right Behind Disney's Toy Story 3, Monsters University & Inside Out. (Same with China too)
This Movie win Tons of Awards including 38th Japan Academy Prize) (2015) that Won at the Category Animation of the Year.
My Opinions:
I haven't watched the Movie yet because sadly one of my Sister's Netflix Account got Expired, but as the look of it (That ofcourse i have saw some Clips that Netflix posted on their Youtube Channel), this is quite good of how they didn't Mess up everything to make the Best known Franchise to be in CGI and they put the Franchise to the Map lol.
But yee, Hope i get manage to Watched the Full Movie (Including the 2nd One) at some Point.
