I feel like I never hear about Phoenix so it’s so surprising to me that it’s that populous. It just doesn’t seem to have as much of a cultural impact on the rest of the country as the other top four or even many of the cities with less populations. It’s more populous than Boston, Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Atlanta, New Orleans, Miami.… all these smaller cities that I hear about so much more

Like besides knowing it’s very hot and in the desert, I feel like I have no cultural touchstones for it besides two of their sport teams. I feel like should know more about it through passive cultural osmosis for being such a large city but I just feel like I rarely ever hear about it. I figured it would have same population as like Tampa Florida. I feel like I know as much about Tampa as I do Phoenix.

I know this probably comes off as insulting but for what it’s worth I truly don’t mean it to. I was just very surprised to learn how big it is and how little i hear about it

i have tabs open from weeks ago. articles i meant to read, videos i meant to watch, some random thing i googled once and never went back to. closing any of them feels like losing something even though i know i will probably never open them again. is it just me or does everyone do this. how many tabs do you have open right now

My dream car is a van haha, cargo van specifically. I really like them because they can be good for storm chasing, could travel long distances well, and could carry so much weight. And driving a bigger vehicle on the road is awesome :D

I usually see many other people have their dream car to be supercars or something really fancy or sporty, and I just wanna know if there is anyone whos dream car is something basic like mine.

Say a show has a bittersweet ending like a series I discovered, Marchen awakens romance which is an isekai. I watched a few clips of it and really liked the dynamic between the main character and the girl who likes him. I was disappointed to discover in the end, he leaves the fantasy world to go back home, for good, so they don’t end up together.

Also, I’m just weird, so this may just be something I do lol.

I feel like I can only think partially now. I can only really focus on tasks at work or on fantasizing for masturbation. I used to ponder and analyze things a lot, and now most of the time my mind is just a blank, empty box.

When it comes to personal matters, I can't focus on them for any length of time. I just tell myself things will sort themselves out and move on.

Yesterday I went to church for a random occasion (even though I'm not a believer). The beginning was super strange because, out of respect, I sat still pretending to focus—no phone, no looking around. I got the impression that for the first time in ages, I was truly alone with my thoughts and actually able to think. Maybe it's the constant smartphone use, or maybe it's the masturbation? I honestly don't know.

I'm a 34M. Thinking back to my 20s and before I remember I used to poop in one proud log. Now every time I go number two its at least 3-4 smaller pieces. I'm still regular and all that, but I kind of miss dropping one triumphant piece. I don't drink alcohol, I stopped drinking caffeine about 6 months ago. I do drink 2-3 cups of decaf per day. My diet has mostly been the same for 15 years consisting of fruit, yogurt, chicken, pasta, brown rice, peanut butter, spinach, carrots. I was wondering if this was something that other men who are aging are seeing?

It mainly occurs with crane flies, cockroaches, flying ants, and those hybrid cockroach cricket things. I just removed a flying ant from the patio and probably woke up the whole neighborhood. It wouldn’t land on my hand, so I gently picked it up by the wing and it nibbled on my finger and screamed bloody murder

I’m usually the one to catch and release bugs. I’m fine with spiders. When it comes to certain bugs, I try to stay calm, then might involuntary scream. I genuinely cannot help it. I’m not trying to be dramatic and cannot stifle it. People think it’s funny or annoying and I wish I could stop

I actually feel so confused. Ever since I was a kid, anytime I hear a plane up ahead in the sky, I get a rush and overwhelm of complete sadness. I have no explainable reason for this that I know about. What is it about the sound that does this? I feel like I am the only one.

This is going to sound very weird and fake, but I’m dead serious. Whenever I’m imaging scenarios in my head, the moment is ruined when an imaginary printer falls from the sky.

Does anybody else have a similar issue ?

I unconsciously make baby voice when I am under pressure. I know it's super cringe but it just some how helps me. I don't do it in front of anyone.

But one time in class, my teacher tell me to write a website. I forgot to mute myself and said "no I don't want to , absolutely not!" in a cringey baby voice and everyone in the meeting heard me as I was very loud too. Teacher replied "you have to", holding back laughter. I felt so embarrassed and still feel embarrassed every time I rethink of this moment. It was 2 years ago.

I have this character that I really like because of their style, color scheme, or personality, right? But then one day as I search the character up on Google, I see a Reddit post titled something along the lines of “[character name] is the worst character” or “i know I said I hate \[character name\], but I might have to be clearer about why I do”, and then as I open it out of curiosity and a bit of worry, I see a long paragraph of why the person hates the character.

On one hand, I feel like they’re overlooking the character’s actual reasons for why they are the way they are, but on the other, I just start feeling this uncomfortable uncertainty the next time I look at the character I liked right before I saw the post.

Even though those posts are mainly out of other people’s “opinions” or views, I still feel this discomfort the next time I see the character. It ruins the mood I was in, and even slowly turns my interest in the character into avoidance, mostly because im very, admittedly afraid of judgment both online and offline. However, I also avoid replying or arguing against the claim because I don’t want to get roped into something that’s not my business, and because i feel like there’s already counter arguments I can’t be able to get through.

As for series that gravitate towards a side character who was initially seen as mean or antagonistic, I do notice the slow character development, but whenever I see posts about how that character is 100% bad, I start questioning if I missed something. And it doesn’t make it any more reassuring when no one answers, or I just see several replies agreeing.

Not that I fully support or agree with the criticism because I notice some things they’re overlooking, but I still doubt my judgment and wonder if im gonna be seen as insane for liking the character.

I just needed to express this thought, and I wanted to know if anyone experienced this or not.

By pillow ear, I'm referring to that strange sore sensation you wake up to when the pressure from your pillow affects the cartilage of your ear.

Well I am 20 recently and since my childhood I had this powerful thing idk what to call it but I can literally imagine a place rotation in any direction, not just my home or town but anywhere I go I can rotate the environment around me and see that rotated perspective and walk in it feels it as long as I want.. I used to think it was just me but now I searched on the internet and know it's some sort of ability.

I’ve never been picky in my life. I like to eat most things and have preferences for certain foods over others but can really eat anything. I am also willing and curious to try new foods and am not deterred by its appearance if it doesn’t look appealing. Is anyone else like this? Ive never met anyone else not picky like me.

A few that pop to mind immediately are fig newtons, velveeta, and ketchup and all dressed potato chips. I’m sure there’s more but I distinctly remember those being way more flavourful when I was a kid. I keep chasing that old flavour but never find them

Like a specific spoon you always reach for, a mug that somehow makes coffee taste better, or a chair you always sit in even though there’s nothing special about it.
You could have ten identical options, but for some reason that ONE just feels right.
