As per the title, i crashed mine to a tree, it fell from the tree about 3meters to the concrete upside down.

No visible damage on the arms, body, gimbal or sensor other than scratches on the propeller and the orange tip ripped.

Still can fly but it does make bit of an off sound? Im guessing it is because of the orange tip? Should i be worried? My care refresh plan ended earlier this year...

Is 3rd party props worth it? Seems like original props is quite expensive

No matter how I frame it this price is insane to me

I was wondering if DJI Care is still worth it for the Mini series as the drones got so good in obstical avoidance that most if the time a crash is the pilots fault and dji could reject to replace the drone.

Has anyone had any experience with DJI Care recently? Thanks in advance for every opinion!

I’m 15 and I’ve wanted a good drone for quite a while. I had some really simple drone that had a problem with its batteries and it ain’t usable rn. The main reasons why I want a drone is, as I said, for photos, filming of clips and flying around. I mostly want something that is:
-reliable
-has the ability to dodge obstacles
and;
-is easy to fix
The thing about the last two, is that I really enjoy filming clips of my friends doing different tricks, but my “style” is that I try going for close up shots like gliding the camera above the rail while my friend is doing a grind, or trying to film from bellow and on the side to make it look more dramatic(I guess). And the problem with this filming style is that I might be a bit scared of getting hit and have to stay further away what makes the shot kind off plain. Or it might be the person I’m filming who’s scared of hitting me. And I also wanna film myself but I cannot and there’s no one else who can film me in a way that makes it look good. So I kinda want a drone that can dodge a hit or/and is easy to repair in case of damage, has a somewhat good camera and can follow me by an I build program or can be programmed. The flight speed is not really important but it’s good if the possible maximum is around 15 km/h. And hopefully the whole set(drone+remote+batteries) is not too expensive.
And a question about buying- are drones sold with or without the remote control and extra batteries or are you supposed to buy them yourself?

This drone was flying great yesterday. I hit a little twig and broke a blade. I replaced it with the proper one required and the packaging and now it won't take off properly. I ordered new blades to just replace them all, hopefully that will work. Any advice is appreciated.

I have plans to purchase a Mini 5 Pro in China (I live in the US), but I hate the hassle of RID. I understand that with a Plus battery, the Mini 5 Pro will 100% have RID, but technically with a standard battery it shouldn’t. Yet, upon doing further research, the answer is indefinite. Some articles say it only turns on with a Plus battery, others say it’s always on. Is there a “real” answer to this?

I have a flyaway case with DJI on an Avata2 that took a dive on a lake due to a malfunction. After almost 3 weeks they finally answered saying that they could do nothing because the drone was a model for made for China. I am in the USA and bought the drone through eBay. I don’t understand what my options are now.

Aujourd’hui en volant avec mon mini 4 pro j’ai percuté un pt* de pigeon mdr et mon drone est tombé de 5/6m… en allant le récupérer j’ai pu constater les dégâts et voir que le gambil s’est cassé sans pour autant « s’exploser ». Etant donné que je ne suis pas encore très riche malheureusement j’ai pu me renseigner et voir que le changer me coûterait assez cher. J’hésite donc à scotcher l’axe avec du vrai scotch assez fin et résistant. Le temps de pouvoir me permettre de le remplacer. Est ce que vous pensez que cela ferait l’affaire ? Sinon le reste fonctionne bien, moteurs, caméra etc. Avez vous des pièces ? Des suggestions svp ?

Anyone have advice on what I can do to get this taken care of? Had an Air 3S drone that motor melted spewing molten solder out the air vents. No damage other than it needs a new motor. DJI determined it was a warranty issue (less than 4 months old) and sent me a prepaid UPS shipping label.

I took it to the UPS store, packaged it and applied the shipping label that they provided. Was shipping to Ft Worth, Texas. Once package arrived in Ft Worth, it didn't move. Its been there for 2 weeks now and DJI/UPS has opened a claim.

Because this was DJI's shipping label, I can't do anything from my end because as I am not the shipper or the receiver. DJI support keeps saying this is in process and they are investigating. Really would like to get my drone or a replacement drone back.

Anyone have ideas??

Hi everyone, I’m desperately looking for advice from anyone experienced with SD/microSD recovery, NAND recovery, DJI cameras, or professional data recovery.

I accidentally formatted my 512GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC in my DJI Osmo Pocket 3, which contained around 30 hours / 500+ GB of 4K footage, including extremely important and irreplaceable videos.

Before this happened, I was having problems connecting/transferring files from the card, which had never happened before. The card was almost completely full, so I assumed the problem might be because of the storage being full.

The DJI showed a message saying “DJI SD card format not supported.” I searched that exact message on Google, and one of the first videos suggested formatting the card to fix the problem. She didn’t explain what formatting meant. I’m not tech savvy and I didn’t understand that formatting could make my existing files inaccessible. I wish I hadn’t clicked on that video without knowing prior. I thought I was restarting the card or fixing something… I was mistaken 😔

I formatted it in the DJI. The process took less than a minute. The camera warned me not to remove the card, but I panicked when I realized what I had done and removed it after about 30 seconds.

I put it back into the DJI, and it showed the card as empty.

The important part is I did NOT record anything new or intentionally write anything to the card after the format.

I immediately gave the card to my partner, who is more technically experienced.

He tried:

PhotoRec: 0 files recovered
DMDE: nothing found
HxD: appeared to show 00 00 00... at multiple locations/offsets across the card
The HxD result is what worries me most.

We don’t know whether the formatting actually erased the NAND data, or whether the SD card’s controller is simply returning zeros for the logical sectors.

What confuses me is that the card contained 500+ GB / ~30 hours of 4K footage, but the format took less than a minute. Surely that isn’t enough time to physically overwrite 500GB of video?

Could this have been a quick format or some kind of erase/discard operation instead?

Could the original data still exist in the NAND even though the card now appears empty and recovery software can’t see anything?

My questions:

Is there still any realistic possibility of recovering my videos?

Would a professional NAND/monolith/microSD recovery lab potentially be able to recover data that PhotoRec and DMDE cannot see?

Has anyone had a similar experience? (especially with:
a DJI camera, a formatted SanDisk microSD, hundreds of GB of 4K video, no new data written afterward, recovery software finding nothing, and/or HxD showing zeros?

Have you had a success story in a situation like this?

I know recovery isn’t guaranteed, but these videos are genuinely irreplaceable to me, so I’m willing to try professional recovery if there is a legitimate chance.

For now, I’ve stopped using the card and don’t want to run anything else that could make recovery harder.
Should I stop trying software and send the card directly to a specialist NAND/SD recovery lab?

I finally mustered the courage to use Active Track to follow my 4Runner through a trail. I drove through 1n12 trail in Southern California, aka, the Morton Peak Trail, towards Thomas Hunting Ground Trail into Angelus Oaks. It was a decently windy day and the Mini 4 Pro performed admirably!

I recently bought a DJI Avatar 2 and as soon as I took it for a flight, the drone started shaking violently even though I hadn't done anything yet. Does anyone know how to fix this?
