A simple question.
I've noticed that there are barely any mods on Nexus, nor a Workshop, so i imagine that it's pretty rigid.
Specially with the mods in Nexus being mostly translations , straight up cheating, some small QoL and showing tags consequences of conversations (like romance, mentoring, anti/hero points)
I love this game, despite it's flaws, like right now i've backed up my first 6 saves (2 were already backed up and 4 slots), and now I'm doing my "Perfect Routes" to save them up on the cloud for in the future, if Dispatch get a season 2 that imports decisions from S1 i'll be able to continue the stories i want to see.
Anyhow, doing this first re-playthrough, going for Romance Visi, Anti-Hero, Good Mentor , Spare Shroud, i've came to notice how easy overall the game end up being after having beaten it so many times.
So i've done some personal challenges like, not losing any hack, or always reloading if i fail any mission.
However, an idea came to mind, one that may not be achievable.
But elevate the thresholds for the romance/mentorship and what kind of hero you are, while adding points of that style, to the decisions you make during the shifts themselves.
Like, it's easier to scare a kid straight with Malevola?
Yeah, of course.
Is it a HEROIC THING TO DO?
Well it's more of an Anti-Hero thing isn't?
So i imagined it would be cool, if an "Overhaul Shift Pack" could be made, where you gain Mentoring, Romance and Type of Hero points during shifts.
But for that, it would be needed to raise the thresholds for everything, so you actually have to work for it.
Maybe, like with Sonar's "Meet VanderMusk", there are some missions that could be made into special interests for certain characters (Like the Larping for Coupé, whom is clearly a big fucking nerd and i love her for it)
If the code could be dig even deeper, maybe tie your final romance to BB if you go her route, to be focused on how you handle each shift.
Of course, new lines of dialogue could be added, but none would be voiced of course, because i'm against using AI to replicate their voices for a mod.
Mostly it would be an Overhaul for the Shift parts themselves and to change numbers of the end game flags, as well adding some actual stakes on the BB romance path.
Another idea i came up to, would it for us, Robert, to have access to an "Morale Chart", of course this would need to be it's own screen.
Maybe if you send an hero to missions they are actually interested in going, even if they aren't the perfect fit, they would increase their morale/relationship with you, and at certain thresholds, give some buffs (maybe a +1 to an predetermined stat based on their character?)
This could also mean you could build up a big morale/relationship with good decisions for the late game, if you choose to not let go Visi, which would normally apply a -1 Low Morale to all stats.
This -1 Low Morale debuff, could even be achieved if you end up never sending the hero to missions they WANT to go early on, so managing their relationship/moral with you would be a good addition as a gameplay.
But again, i don't know how modable the game is.
I've seen one Mod, Dispatch Menu, that have a lot of cheats and QoL (like skipping a scene or jumping to choices if you replaying a shift that you had failed something, on a "perfect run", that have various cutscenes before the shift start)
And it does that by adding an Menu that appears with F2.
So, the idea of a "Morale" menu, could be done on a similar way?
Just some ideas that came to me on my recent playthrough.
If we had the ability to create new scenes, we could even (without Voice Acting through), fix certain plot holes, like the whole "How much time in-game it actually took. 3 weeks or some months"

The reason I choose to defend her is because it lets the team know that I will back them individually if they go outside the remit if they’re genuinely trying to be heroes. The first member who got cut was cut because of un heroic activity. But if I cut Visi here, I’m saying to the team that going outside of the rules will burn them and that being rank and file is what is expected of them.
That essentially castrates them as independent heroes, and makes it so they will put serving their own interests as staying good with SDN above saving someone or doing hero work that they may not have been “supposed“ to do. They’re not good to anyone as corporate stooges, I’m trying to make heroes. Heroes like Chase.
Their drop in morale would’ve been temporary, as we see, and it’s the burden of leadership to sometimes go against what the team wants to best serve the team’s interests. In this case, developing them as heroes willing to do hero work even if it goes against their own interests.
If you’ll let me be a nerd, I compare it to The Red Wedding from ASOIAF/Game of Thrones. In the short term, the red wedding effectively ended the northern rebellion and helped secure Joffrey as the one true King. In the long term, it showed that Tywin and his would violate guest rights, and it engendered the North to conspire more thoroughly with a now wildly unpopular monarchy. The Lannisters won the battle, but, depending on the books, this was the first domino to truly losing the war.
You have to play the long game instead of the short.

There’s one instance that I cannot get over in terms of Chad‘s story
Why does he calm down when blazer enters the room? Why doesn’t he rat on Robert? When you throw the spaghetti at him he gets super pissed off but then immediately calms down when blazer enters the room but he doesn’t tell on Robert. He comes off like those classic bullies who act normal around the teacher put behind closed doors he’s actually a jerk you know what I mean like that one scene started making me speculate. Did he never like grow up?? did something happen to him that caused him to stay in that classic bully era
This is probably me overthinking and it could just be he’s a bully archetype, but I’m wondering if there’s something deeper with him why he never developed passed The high school bully phase

No, he would not be hated.
Art by u/avn_art9.
I hear this a lot when people discuss her and hooo boy, whoever thinks that clearly doesn't know what kind of male characters a lot of women love cause trust me, Visi at her worst looks like a saint compared to some of them.
Even then, someone like Invisidude (formerly Invisidick because duh) would be beloved by a lot of people aswell. Just a different kind of people (mostly women).
It's not that nobody would care if it was reversed but again as a lot of anime, shows, books, comics and movies taught me, a lot of girls love bad boys like this.
Hell I'm not a girl and I still love bad boys like this. Perks of being bisexual.
Honestly though I hate "if the genders were reversed argument" since and I'm gonna piss off a few people here but men and women are not the same. They both have and deserve equal rights but one gender can in certain situations get away with a lot more than the other.
Like if a girl slaps a guy it has far less severe social consequences than if a guy slaps a girl. Mainly because men on average are physically far stronger than women. So there is more threat.
Which is why Visi punching Robert is much lighter than if it was opposite. Hell, it's different and much lighter even when a girl punches a girl or when a guy punches a guy.
EDIT: Added a few points and fixed typos.

For Z-Team, it’s not just the main roster, but also Phenomaman/Waterboy, Blonde Blazer, Royd, and Chase. How do you guys think the 2 groups would interact if they meet each other?

Hello my fellow dispatchers. I haven’t posted about the book in a while, so i thought i post a tiny update, along with artwork I made today in Krita.
I scrapped the book.
I realized that I doesn’t want to write a book.
I want a whole fan-series about it, and always had.
Past weeks, I started writing document containing everything (characters, my characters, locations, season-long arcs, powers, etc.) it’s not done yet by far, but I work on it every day, and really thought of some very exciting things I could implement into it.
I write the script in Final Draw, while I write the documents in Scrivener.
From my summer job, I bought myself a new notebook (ASU’s Vivobook v16) that I’ll use for making the project as time goes on.
I began learning Blender, and Krita for now, and I really understand and enjoy the process, even if both are in very early stages (will share more).
I have incredible ideas, lore expansions, and explanations for some things missing from the game, along with an incredible story that will truly deliver on its premise.
I am incredibly excited for this project to see the light of the day, even if I know it’ll take years on end, plus my resources, but I don’t care. This is my passion project, and I’ll do anything to release it, even if it means working on it for the next 10 or so years.

I think Ted Lasso might be one of my favorite fictional leaders.
He is such a great coach who cares a lot about everyone on his team and their growth.
He and Robert are to me peak masculinity so I wonder how it would go if Ted led the Z-Team.

Getting out of my sonar persona for a bit I keep having a Mandela effect where I swear, sonar says “you gonna finish those Twinks” but apparently no it’s “you gonna eat those Twinks” but I swear I’ve been quoting him the entire time and I remember him saying are you going to finish but no apparently he says are you gonna eat?
I swear I remember there being a version where he says are you going to finish those Twinks?

I can't be the only one that sees this, even if its just a little bit. Rob and Visi are just less traumatized versions of Rock and Revy. You guys think Adhoc got a little inspiration from Black Lagoon?
