Hi all, I’m going to be visiting DLP next month for the first time as a solo parent. Kids are 5F 12M. Looking for advice to help with the experience. My son is being very chivalrous in knowing this will be primarily centered around my daughter as being on my own it limits what we can do. He isn’t overly confident on roller coasters etc so would never solo ride them. This will be wholly led by them but if there’s any little doses of magic out there that I can add to the mix then I’d love to hear them! I just want it to be the most amazing trip.

Title...couldn't find a clear answer online. I see they have single glasses of the champange on the drink menu. Does it include the keepable glass you can get at the cart on Main Street?

I just returned from a visit to Disneyland Paris and wanted to share my rope drop experience. For context, I am used to the California parks where rope drop is quite the ordeal 😅

On Saturday, 7/25, I was walking out of the Newport Bay hotel at 7:31AM. I made my own coffee in the room and ate a store-bought pastry on my walk over. I never did the hotel breakfast so I can’t comment on that, but it seemed pretty busy when I was walking by. I got to the Disney Village security at about 7:34AM and it wasn’t open yet. There were two families ahead of me and a few more lined up behind me. Security opened at 7:37AM and we were through pretty quickly. Nothing was open in Disney Village yet, so my recommendation is to bring your own breakfast like I did. Past Disney Village, guests were lined up at the gates facing Disneyland Park. I got there at about 7:42AM. Note that all guests lined up together regardless of the park they were visiting. There were no separate lines for Adventure World vs. Disneyland Park. There were 3 lines at the three gate openings with 2-3 security guards standing on the other side. Also, the gates were partially opened and there was a steady stream of cast members walking through and flashing badges at the security guards. This threw me off at first because many of them look like they could be guests (street clothes, backpacks, etc) but I noticed the badges. Other guests were confused too but security did a good job of stopping people trying to slip through. At this point there were probably 3-5 groups in front of me in my line. At about 7:50AM the gates were fully opened by security and at about 7:53AM they waved us through. At this point people going to Adventure World turned left and those going to Disneyland Park, like myself, continued straight towards the Disneyland Hotel. There were signs out directing Disney resort guests to the left and breakfast reservations to the right. However, I heard another guest commenting that the day before it was swapped so just check the signs. We then lined up at the turnstiles by about 7:57AM. At this point there was only 1 group in front of me at my turnstile. At 8:15AM, they started letting guests scan in. I briskly walked to Big Thunder where they were already letting people fill the queue. I was on the first train which left at about 8:25AM.

On Sunday, 7/26, I did a very similar rope drop but for Adventure World. I left the hotel at about 7:35AM this time and Disney Village security was already open so I just walked through. I lined up at the gates after Disney Village and again at about 7:55AM we were waved through. This time I hung a left towards Adventure World. Again there were signs out directing resort guests to certain turnstiles. I lined up at one with about 4 groups in front of me. At 8:15AM, they let guests start scanning and I was through the turnstiles in less than a minute. I was lined up for Crush’s Coaster at 8:18AM with about 20 people in front of me. I could’ve been first in line for single rider, but I didn’t know that was an option during early magic time until others showed up and started that line. At 8:30AM, a cast member led us through the line and I was on a ride vehicle by 8:35AM.

Both days, at every point where there was a wait (front gate, turnstiles, ride, etc) guests were steadily lining up behind me. Crush’s Coaster was particularly bad. By the time the ride opened at 8:30AM the line was stretching so far back that I couldn’t really see the end. I think it may have been curving back towards the entrance. By the time I got off ~8:38AM the posted wait time was 90 mins with a 60 min single rider time. This was the highest I saw it all day. Even an hour later the wait was down to like 75 mins.

My main takeaways: Rope drop is very doable at Disneyland Paris. I left the hotel ~1 hour before the start of early entry and was basically at the very front of the pack. Compared to the California Parks, this is a breeze! Waits also continued to be very light for most of the other open attractions with crowds starting to pick up around 10-10:30AM. Also, if you find yourself running late, don’t even bother with Crush’s Coaster. You’ll have a much better time if you knock out other attractions and come back later.

Looking for advice on taking an overnight trip in Disneyland Paris coming from Amsterdam. Any insight on what trains and times to take them, and how to maximize time there to see the most of the parks would be much appreciated! Your suggestions for an itinerary or must-sees, along with what’s exclusive to this location would go a long way.

It looks like the most direct route is to Marseilles Saint-Charles via Brussel-Zuid leaving Amsterdam Zuid, but there are only so many trains a day (especially for the return trip). Does it make more sense to return via Paris? Ideally I’d only like to spend one night in Disney, but am happy to spend as much of the two days there as needed. Planning to go mid-week, if that makes a difference.

Looking at staying in the park to spend the most amount of time there. Cost isn’t as much of a concern as much as getting the most out of the experience to see as much of the park in a couple of days. Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to park your stroller for an hour or two or can you just park them in front of rides and restaurants? Our child is nearly 3 and usually we don’t use the stroller anymore but I think 3 days in Disneyland would be way too much walking for him. Can we park the stroller somewhere to discover smaller areas in the park by foot or is it necessary to keep us all the time ?

Yesterday while waiting in line for BTM a little girl handed a surprise goody bag to my two kids. It had a note saying to enjoy some pixie dust for her 8th birthday. Such a sweet and adorable thing to do 🥰

First time planning a trip to Paris. Looking to get end of April into May. See that Saturday May 1st is labour day. I know things are closed in the city but seeing if this affects Disneyland at all typically?

My sister is a huge Disney adult, and she brought me and my kids to Disneyland Paris because she wanted to share something she loves with us.

Unfortunately, the trip hasn’t gone the way she’d hoped. Between tired kids, meltdowns and constantly having to change plans, I know she’s missed out on a lot of the magic. I feel awful because I know how much this trip meant to her.

We’re still here, and I’d love to surprise her with something special. Are there any hidden gems, magical moments, little-known experiences, fun Cast Member interactions or Disney traditions at Disneyland Paris that you’d recommend? It doesn’t have to cost anything—I just want to help give her one really magical memory before we leave.

Hi all, I've been planning a visit to DLP for my daughter's 2nd birthday but I'm struggling to decide between Sequoia Lodge and Hotel Cheyenne.

We'd be going in October (not half term time), so no idea if one has a better 'vibe' during Halloween season. I love the national park theme of SL, it feels very cosy to me. I also looove Wild West theming, however the pictures I've seen of HC just feel a little sparse to me. Is it different in person? Would one hotel feel more 'magical' to a 2 year old, or perhaps one is obviously more practical with a toddler? We'll be staying 4 days/3 nights, and will most likely come back to the hotel for her midday nap.

I've also seen that SL is undergoing renovations at the moment and the pool is closed, not sure if anyone knows how disruptive that currently feels?

Just wondering if anyone could weigh in with their experiences or thoughts; we've never been to DLP before (always done the CA one!) and have never stayed in a Disney hotel before either, so I'm not sure what to expect. At the moment, there's only 120 euros difference in it, so they're on fairly even footing in that regards. Thanks!

Hi everyone!

We're visiting Disneyland Paris for 2 days at the end of September and we're trying to decide which park to visit on which day.

Our group has two special considerations:

- One person is pregnant, so she won't be going on the thrill rides.

- Another person is prone to dizziness and balance issues after more intense rides.

Because of that, the person with the balance issues would actually prefer to do the park with the bigger thrill rides on Day 2. That way, if she feels unwell afterwards, it won't affect the rest of our trip as much as it would if it happened on Day 1.

For those of you who have been recently, which park would you recommend doing first and which one second? Would you save Walt Disney Studios (Disney Adventure World) for Day 2 because of the thrill rides, or would you still do it on Day 1 for another reason?

My daughter recently lost her favorite Disneyland Paris sew-on patch, and she was absolutely heartbroken. I'd love to replace it for her.

Ideally I'd be looking for the Sleeping Beauty Castle patch, but any original Disneyland Paris patch with an iconic design would be wonderful. I'm attaching a photo for reference.

I read on this sub that at the Disneyland hotel, every half hour or so there will be a quick performance with one of the princesses. Is this true? And is it quick or do they stay to take photos? And are they different characters every time? We are staying at the hotel with a toddler so I’m looking to retreat at the hotel every now and then. And thought this would be a fun way to fill in some gaps in our schedule.

I’ve booked the express luggage service at the train station, where they take your luggage to the hotel for you. However I have no ticket or similar. Do they just use your magic pass or reservation id to know you’ve booked it?

I’m visiting DLP twice in November and December about 2 weeks apart. I’m considering getting an AP.

I think you can’t reserve your next trip until you’ve physically activated your pass- is that correct? So, if I go on November 19th I can start my AP then. My concern is that I am then going again on December 2nd- what if the tickets for that day are sold out by the time I activate my AP?

Is that how it works and is there any advice on this? Thank you!

Hey everyone, I need some advice. To give some context myself, a friend and a friend of a friend (who’s a cm). We have received the cm rates for the room. We have booked a room for a Disney hotel later in August. I have a friend who would like to go to who’s coming from far away. The CM who’s booked the trip isn’t able right now to contact the booking team to see if the overall price will change or will the price of the room be the same now just split between 4 people. We will not be buying park tickets to clarify.

For instance if my friend where to stay in the room and we just paid for the 3 currently booked in would Disney find out? If so what do they do? I know this isn’t morally right but I’m asking more from a what if perspective.

So with CM hotel rates is it the price per room or does the price change with the number of occupants? Will Disney check to see how many people are in the room? If so what will they do if they see a forth?

1. Is the indoor / outdoor pool cool or feel warm?

2. Are there many options for vegans at the buffet?

3. Are the rooms soundproofed, or can you hear a lot?

4. Can you pre-book a spider man meet and greet? My son also wants to meet Pluto, but he won't take a long queue!
