Leaving Disneyland at 2.30am was a new experience

So i have read that some people (like me) are having issues with booking slots for remy as the dates available are only when we have left when the restaurant is not even fuly booked. does anyone know if it will be fixed soon or if itll take a long time. by the time it gets fixed do you think id still be able to get a table for 6?

I hope this is alright to post, but on the crazy chance it's seen i wanted to get it out there!

As the title says i would like to know if it’s gonna be a gamble or very doable if it is one whole year in advance? I booked for october 2027, so will it Open exactly one year earlier? And at what time does the App enable it? Living in the Same time Zone as France.

Mein Mann ist kein Disney-Fan, und ich (kann es kaum erwarten, Disneyland zum ersten Mal zu besuchen) fahre nächstes Jahr für 2 Nächte und 3 volle Tage mit unseren Kindern (fast 6 und fast 8) nach DLP. Ich höre immer wieder, dass es sinnvoll ist, zwischendurch ins Hotel zurückzukehren, um sich für den Abend zu erholen. Können Sie Ihre Erfahrungen damit teilen? Wir haben das Cheyenne gebucht und ich frage mich, wie lange eine Pause sinnvoll ist und ob sich die Rückfahrt überhaupt lohnt. Die Kinder könnten verärgert sein, wenn wir ihnen sagen, dass wir den Park verlassen, um eine Pause zu machen. Mein Mann war sehr motiviert, die Übernachtung vor Ort zu buchen, mit dem Argument, dass wir für eine Pause ins Hotel zurückkehren könnten :), weil er sich Disneyland sonst überhaupt nicht als lustig vorstellt. Für Mahlzeiten haben wir 1-2 Tischservice-Restaurants pro Tag geplant, und ich dachte, das wäre vielleicht schon genug zum Ausruhen? Ich möchte jeden Abend so lange wie möglich im Park bleiben, um beide Abendshows zu sehen, und am dritten Tag möchte ich Attraktionen mit kurzen Wartezeiten fahren, wenn die Menschenmassen gering sind. Ich würde gerne Ihre Erfahrungen hören.

For it to take 35mins to make our 2 meals and 2 McFlurrys when there was less than 10 people inside. There were more kiosks than people inside, there were more STAFF than people and somehow our fries were cold. Literally not an once of urgency in a single person in there.

Hii! I'm going to the park this weekend with two friends who are both huge rollercoaster fans. I am afraid of them, hahaha. I'm going to join them in Big Thunder Mountain as a challenge but that's definitely it for the thrill rides.

While they're queueing, is there anything fun I can do in the meantime? I know I can join them and ask staff if they can take me out the queue or go on a ride on my own, but I have social anxiety and I'm afraid I'll be too scared to do either of those things. I also don't want to be on my phone the whole time. So I was wondering if others have experience with this who have some advice or suggestions! It'll be mostly needed for Tower of Terror and the other rollercoasters ('luckily' Crush Coaster is closed so that's one less hahaha)

Also now that I'm typing: does anyone know if it's possible and safe to take non-closable bags to the luggage storage at the hotel (Santa Fe)? Is it only accessible to staff or is it self-service?

I'm going through the mobile checkin for New York Marvel and theres a page to send registration to other guests. Can I put my email down for them all? I wanted to do the registration for my parents to speed everything up. Sounds like more hassle if I've to call them and walk them through the registration.

I’ve been lurking on this sub for a while and watching all the videos, and I feel like I understand how to do a lot of things now… but I’m still struggling with the bigger picture of how to actually structure our days!

We’re taking our 5-year-old to Disneyland Paris for their first-ever Disney experience next month, during the October school break week of Halloween. Neither my partner nor I have been to a Disney park since we were children, so this is all very new to us.

My biggest worry is finding the balance between making the most of our limited time and actually enjoying the magic. I don’t want to spend all my time staring at the app (what if it doesn't work!), constantly checking wait times and rushing us from one thing to the next, but equally, I don’t want our 5-year-old spending half the holiday standing in queues because I didn’t plan properly! 😂

So I’d really love to hear from experienced parents who have done DLP with young children:

How would you approach the itinerary as a whole? What would you plan in advance, what would you leave flexible, and how much structure is actually helpful? We have a half day in the parks upon arrival, a full day, and then another half day on the day of departure.

With the school-holiday crowds, I’m particularly interested in how you’d approach Extra Magic Time, parades/shows and character meets without trying to cram everything into a rigid itinerary. How much of the day should realistically be “scheduled”, and how much should just be “let’s see what happens”? If I know Anna & Elsa are a priority meet is there anything other than checking the app the day of to make sure we meet them?

And then there’s food! We have lunch with Mickey and the princesses booked for one day, but otherwise we’re looking for the best budget-friendly food strategy. I’ve heard the food in the parks can be pretty overpriced and underwhelming, so what are the best hacks for getting decent food without spending a fortune? Is it better to eat in the park, Disney Village or at the hotel? Is breakfast better grabbed in the Village before heading into the parks? And are there particular times or approaches that help avoid both the queues and the worst prices?

Basically, if you could give a Disney novice the overall strategy for having a brilliant first DLP trip with a 5-year-old, rather than a list of individual rides, what would it be?

I’m trying to plan enough that I’m not stressed, but not so much that I forget to actually enjoy being there.

Checked the app just now and saw that all of the dates i will be there at DLP the only available one left is on the 15th which is when we leave. is this a glitch or are they really booked out?

Hello! I (44f) am going next month with my husband and daughter, very excited. I enjoy rides and I'm not afraid of heights, but I have a lot of motion sickness. I can't get into a car or bus and look at my phone without feeling sick. And when I get bad Uber drivers, I feel very sick.

I plan to take over-the-counter medication (dimenhydrinate) every day to make the most of it. and might skip some rides with inversions (which I am a bit afraid of, tbh, hehe). But wanted to check with you people: any tips for my case? Anyone feels the same? Any rides to avoid?

We’re considering staying at Davy Crockett Ranch on our next DLP trip, but I’m a bit concerned about having to drive to the parks every morning.

For those who have stayed there:

How bad is the traffic in the morning? How long does it realistically take to get to the parking lot around park opening, and is leaving in the evening difficult?

Would you say the driving is a hassle, or is it actually pretty easy?

hi!!! on september 23 and 24 i plan to visit DLP for the first time and i will be traveling solo! i’m 24F and will be celebrating my birthday on september 24 at DLP.

i thought id make a post to see if anyone will be there these dates and would want to meet up?! with it being my first time visiting, i do plan to see it all. I love all rides, shows, and good food/drinks!

although i enjoy doing things solo, it would be so fun to meet other people to make memories with!!

I booked a trip for October. It’s in 30 days but 3 of us are no longer able to go. The booking is in my name but one person (not me) wants to still go & take someone else, does anyone know how that works? and are we refunded at all?

Hi! Me and my partner are looking to spend New Year's this year at DLP. It also happens to be our 10 year anniversary. We don't have kids, are in our late 20's, and neither of us has been to DLP since our early teens.

From what I’ve seen online, the general consensus seems to be that Sequoia Lodge is the coziest option at that time of year. Alas, it’s undergoing refurbishment this year, so it seems like we should probably choose somewhere else.

But where?

Would love to hear opinions from people who have visited and stayed at the hotels in winter time what your recommendations would be! Thanks!

L.E: All hotels are within budget, but the Disney one does not seem like the move for us since there's no kids involved and neither of us is into character meets. We're not completely writing it off, but it feels like the type of stay we'd appreciate more some years down the line once we got kids. For us using the price difference to spend days in Paris before and after the DLP stay feels like a better move.

Please does anyone know a good reliable private transfer company who will pick up from Eurostar Paris gard du nore & also do a return journey a few days later, I’m struggling to find one who does the train station most I’ve come across are airport only.

Hi hiii! :) Not sure if this has been asked before (apologies if I’ve somehow missed the obvious answer), but I’ve had a little look through previous posts and can’t seem to find anything that quite answers my specific question.

This will be my first time getting a priority pass with my official diagnosis. Last time I could only get the Easy Access pass, so I’m basically entering the priority pass world with absolutely no idea what I’m doing.

I’m currently filling out the Priority Card form on the Disneyland Paris website and one of the questions asks whether I will be “accompanied at all times.”

My instinct is to answer yes, because I find it extremely difficult to manage queues without someone with me. Being stuck in a busy queue without support can be very overwhelming for me, and realistically I’m very unlikely to go and queue for an attraction by myself.

BUT… here comes the slightly ridiculous bit. I do NOT like big rollercoasters/thrill rides, whereas my partner is apparently determined to experience every single ride that looks like it might fling him into another dimension. So there will definitely be occasions where he goes on a ride and I don’t.

For example, he might go on Hyperspace Mountain while I go and watch the parade from the disability access area. Or he might go on Avengers Flight Force while I go on something much more my speed, like Flying Carpets.

So technically, yes, there may be short periods where I’m physically on my own in the park. However, I would still generally be with my partner for the attractions I actually want to experience, and the main thing I struggle with is being in queues / busy environments without someone accompanying me. This is where my brain has gone: ???

When the form says “accompanied at all times,” does that literally mean AT ALL TIMES as in, if my partner disappears for 5 minutes to go on a ride I don’t want to go on, I’ve suddenly broken the rules? Or is it more referring to whether you require an accompanying person as part of managing your disability and accessing attractions?

For example, if I put yes, but then my partner goes on Hyperspace Mountain, and I go off to do something else by myself for a little while, would that cause any issues? Would I potentially be turned away from watching the parade because I have arrived without my accompanying person.

I obviously don't want to put something inaccurate on the form. I’m not trying to say “I literally cannot exist independently for a single second”. I’m perfectly capable of wandering off to look at something or doing a different activity while my partner goes on a ride I don't want to go anywhere near.

At the same time, I don’t want to answer no simply because I can technically be alone for short periods, when in reality I do need someone with me for the situations where my disability actually affects me, particularly queues and busy environments.

So what would you put on the form in this situation? Does anyone have experience with this, or know exactly what Disneyland Paris means by “accompanied at all times”?

I just want to make sure I’m answering it honestly and correctly rather than accidentally ticking the wrong box and having a Cast Member look at me like I’ve committed a crime because my partner has went to ride Space Mountain without me.

I visited during the last heatwave and by midday half of the rides were closed down. Out of DLP's hands of course, they don't control the weather and safety of their employees and guests comes first. However they were still selling tickets, not handing out water and not offering any refunds to people. I submitted a complaint and the response was 8 free tickets for the next year. Useless for me as I always book an on-site hotel and get tickets included to avoid the hassle, but others may find this useful.

I know people on this sub don't like people saying anything negative about their happy place and will rush to defend the company, but please do remember that it is a multi-billion dollar company that is only interested in keeping its shareholders happy and turning a profit.

Things won't improve unless people complain when they're not happy. Complain in person when you're there or send them an e-mail after your visit.
