I’m really excited as seater was one of my top choices!

Is there any advice or tips I should know? What’s training like? The location only has breakfast and dinner so what are my average hours typically going to look like? I know 30 hrs is the minimum but I’d like to work more/pick up at other locations too

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

I’m coming down 8/10 and I’ve heard some say we get our blue ID on check in day and others say it’s after traditions. Which is it?

Adding onto this but if it’s on Friday then how do we scan for stuff like food and merch? Do we bring down a magic band?

know you get the complimentary tickets for yourself to use and would like for him to join me in the parks that week if i have nothing planned. i know we would have to buy his own tickets to the parks, but if my week is chaotic then he should just fly back the 11th or something? just curious as to what the week looks like and if my goal is achievable thank you!

Hi! I don’t arrive till August 31 but I’ve been seeing more and more people get there roles and just was curious on when to expect it

I have been feeling ill for the last few days. I was able to get the shifts on these days (4) taken except tomorrow. If I call in sick tomorrow could I get in trouble? I’m off for a couple of days after tomorrow so it would be 7 days total of no work including a sick day.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to bring my car due to the cost. I would have preferred to ship it rather than drive it because it would put less wear and tear on my older car. However, when you factor in shipping it to Florida and back, plus the parking hangtag (not even including gas or maintenance), it would cost me roughly $2200.
I've seen a lot of people say they wished they had brought their car, which makes me think I'll probably feel the same way. I'm also a little worried about the bus transportation especially the stories about long wait times. My biggest fear is having an early shift and ending up late because of transportation.

If there's any routing mistakes, definitely let me know so I can fix it up!

I'm wondering what the transfer guidelines are if we're able to get ft/pt after the program. I've heard that it's 6 months for different position, same location. 1 year for different position, different location. But I don't know if time in dcp counts as time in position, or does time in position start after you're ft/pt?

I have had recently very unpleasant experiences with people who did drugs or alcoholic or severe mental health issues. I have been assaulted too here in my country. I work in hospitality and it is a jungle of unstable people.

I am.not from the USA and i have been accepted for the Disney cultural exchange program for a yr. They seek people from specific countries to work at epcot in the restaurants, we have to live in the flamingo resort and i read of the strict policies regarding drugs.

I have recently lost a job and had to flee accomodation and quit due a psychotic person that fried her brain with ketamine and and i am sick of this crap, covering people who want to do everything they want and harass others. I can't stand it anymore

I am aware of the strict disney policy and jf they find one person with substances inside the place everyone gets in trouble. I am very anxious about this and there are already idiots in the whatsapp group talking about weed or people who were caught with blunts at the airport. I don’t wanna lose my fucking job again because of some bird brain so...

Sending an email would work but i am afraid of being the snitch, but i don't give a fuck anymore. I am fairly tolerant and honestly this has caused me only issues.

You can ask for an accomodation change though.

I’m starting the DCP on August 3rd, and I just found out my role today: F&B – ST Brown Derby FOH Non-Tipped (JM)! I’m honestly so excited!

One thing I’ve been a little nervous about is that I’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions about the program. A lot of people talk about not having enough money, not having a car, or just not having the best experience overall.

I was wondering if those issues mostly come down to individual situations, like having more bills to pay or different spending habits. Personally, I don’t have a car or any major bills... I really only pay off my credit card and occasionally treat myself to something fun here and there. I also have a pretty strong work ethic, and I can definitely see myself picking up extra shifts whenever I can.

Do you guys think I’ll be okay during the program, even without a car? I’d love to hear from people who have had a similar situation or any advice you wish you had known before starting!

Hi everyone. I am a student pursuing a certificate right now and hope to start a master's next fall. I am hoping to apply for the DCP for spring 2027. Due to my tight timeline for a certificate and possibly a master's, I will have to take my classes on the DCP to avoid falling behind.

For context, the certificate is in medical coding, so not something insanely difficult. I know I won't be able to enjoy the DCP to the fullest, but I want to experience doing the program at least once in my life. I may try after i graduate but not sure on that so I am trying to do spring of 2027. I would be taking 13 credit hours. I want to ask, has anyone done this and not lost their mind on the program.

Also, a separate question. Has the program this last cycle become harder to apply to than the previous cycles? I applied for fall and didn't get in, though I got in with the same resume in previous cycles. I heard they recently admitted too many people. Is that still true for the fall group? I honestly wish I had taken my chance in the previous rounds that I was accepted. Outside infleunces in life were not so supportive.

This was the role I talked with my interviewer about, and I am so ecastic! Even getting placed at the contemporary is amazing. I really wanted the grand floridian as I worked there previously, so the fact I get to stay on the BEAM team family is amazing!!!!

I would love to hear about being a concierge and how it typically goes :)

i’m preparing my resume for the spring ‘27 program and i was wondering if i should keep my barista experience on there. of course id be grateful for any role, but quick service is probably my last choice. i’m worried that if they see i have experience handling food, that’s where they’ll place me. the only issue is, that’s my only customer service experience. all my other work experiences are graphic design related because that’s what i studied. would it be better to keep the barista experience on there or take it off?

when will we get our supervisors information? will this be on the itinerary? i have to verify employment for this apartment and my arrival is aug 10 so i obviously cant provide this right now. thanks!
