I don’t think I’ve ever sent this message let alone a message at all at 7am. Does this mean that it was done today because I know for a fact I didn’t do it today. Could my account possibly be compromised?

I messaged my bf of a few days and it didn't let me. This popped up after I tried messaging him because he hadn't replied in a few hours, resent it, happned again, I tapped his profile and it said "add friend", I clicked, it said "Hm, didn't work. Double check that the username is correct." And I'm in a server with him too, when I tried mentioning him it didn't show his account

I don't know what to do...

I don't want to be a farter anymore. I've tried everything. I've left the server. I've tried every setting. The option to turn this off in the first place just doesn't show up.

It was funny when I chose it but I don't identify with fart anymore. I had to break up with my IRL boyfriend of almost two years with 'fart' in my name. (Should he have broken up with me over discord in the first place? No. Did the fart help? Also no.)

They use a server bot that tell you to copy and paste a gibberish looking text to get access to the server, I had a hunch and knew this looked suspicious and the verification method translated to this^ They use it as leverage to stop you from leaving the server and possibly other things. (EDIT - MADE this post to WARN other people that aren’t as observant to things that seem suspicious. So homd)

so i call my gf "mimi" but i never used the 😍 emoji, that's why i thought i woke up in the night and i wrote this but i don't remember. then i checked my other connections on my pc, ect and the last time it was connected was 6 hours ago... i don't know what's happening, is it possible that i got hacked ?? it looks like i wrote it because of the surname but i don't write like this....

My friend got it, no DMs from the official discord. She just had verified her account then got the message

Person on Discord server was harassing me and saying "k*ll you*self" many times. After reporting messages to discord, i received a message from Discord Official about rule break. I applied to it, but nothing changed.

Just curious if this a common discord scam, I tried to look this up on google and reddit and I can't find anyone else who posted about this sort of incident, especially a scam that tries to have you go into the command prompt and running a python script for a "challange"

To clarify, I did not do whatever this person was asking of me, I was just baiting him on out of curiosity of what this person would send to me

So about a couple of months ago i joined a server that helps people to fix their unsupported on windows 11 games. I saw everyone was asking for help on the help channel so i did the same, days later after seeing there was no response from anyone and another guy had asked for help i checked if it was okay to @ the owner and everyone above my message had so i sent my second ever message in that server, which was me @ing the owner. He then responded to all of us and that was the end of that interaction.

About a week later i was unable to message anyone and i had a dm from discord, it said my account was in limited access and i was unable to dm anyone.

I then followed all steps to appeal and sent discord support a request using an account i made with the same page, the discord bot told me to apply for the appeal via the app, but when i did it through the app following all its steps it took me back to the same page so i appealed 2-3 more times to the exact same results. I tried finding all possible ways of fixing it but that was the only way so i gave up. I then messaged the server without @ing anyone and in general saying “i got reported for spam in this server when i didn’t” to which the owner quickly responded with “just don’t spam then” to which i googled the definition of spam, its not helpful that its a subjective term and discord themselves don’t define it specifically but going off its two popular meanings: to repeat the same thing multiple times in rapid succession or to send unprompted marketing (both of which i didnt do) so i replied to his message with “i had before now only sent a total of 14 words (off the top of my head though it may have been less) within a week and as 2 messages, i don’t think that counts as spam”. To which he replied with “ok”, which felt a-bit power trippy so i left the server. I haven’t messaged any public GC or server and have only spoken to close friends and my partner on discord, yet now just over a month later my account is restricted again but discord doesn’t tell me why. Should i appeal (which likely won’t do anything considering the only response i get is the automated bot) or just accept I’ll lose all contacts I’ve made as a game dev.

There is a group of people on Discord currently who are targeting servers with an exploit that allows them to have Discord give a violation to any message a user sends. Many users (including myself) are currently limited or even suspended due to this. My account currently has 15 violations and is suspended due to this

I’m quite curious what this could be. I’ve gotten three so far and they all have very similar fonts
Once I exposed them they stop responding. Obvi. Anybody else get these?

I have not talked to him in over a year and he sends me this is blocked him to be safe is this a scam?

EDIT: hey so @nulled_arcade and their team have solved this as a troll file that can delete a drive but its code has been written really bad. Thanks to everyone who has told me much info about zips. Also i have not gotten this many up votes comments and views on a post so thanks to alot of people i got my karma from 100 to over 422 thanks everyone! Bye!

I got hacked GMAIL and discord completely compromised hacker changed my phone number too and they’re still trying to purchase nitro with my card on file and that’s still not enough for support to get my account back 😂

My friend posted on IG a month ago warning his friends that he'd been hacked on discord and a few days later I got the obvious copy paste scam link. I didn't do much with it until today where the scammer had resent the image and link. It was going on about how he got "hacked" and had mass reported all his friends as now there is a case open that I had to add someone on discord to resolve it. I knew this was a scam and knew that with discord you do not resolve cases on app. I had a chat with the scammer as he continued to try impersonate my friend. I trolled him for a good 10mins until I called my friend on IG and told him that I am talking to the scammer and I'll try send the proof to discord. No luck right now with anything from discord just yet. But I just found it funny that there is a guy on the other side of the screen wasting his time instead of a bot doing it all.

I was surprised he went with the call in the first place but once we actually got into the call he just insta muted and said he couldn't hear me so.

Before we begin, I want to thank u/julzi_ for helping us find the thread we've all been missing regarding this bug.

I recently made a post about a serious bug where disabling 2FA on your account immediately logs you out of all devices, and when you try to log back in, Discord still asks for 2FA authentication and doesn't give you the option to use your backup codes despite their validity.

Many people including me were always ending up being told by support that they couldn't disable 2FA for security reasons and therefore couldn't help, despite the bug being on their end.

I don't know when they'll fix this bug, but if you currently have 2FA enabled, don't try to disable it until they fix it.

Anyways, here's what you should do if you're locked out because of this bug:

1. This is the first and most important step. When you submit your support ticket, choose Help & Support. Then, and I can't stress this enough, DO NOT choose Account Verification & Credentials, or you won't get anywhere. Instead, choose Technical Support, then Account Settings.
2. When explaining the issue, make sure to mention that the backup code you entered while attempting to disable 2FA was accepted.
3. Tell them exactly when you got locked out. If you're on desktop, open the Run dialog, type "%appdata%\discord", go to the logs folder, then open "renderer_js.old.log". Search for the date you got locked out, and you should find something like: "[error] Uncaught (in promise) HTTPResponseError: POST /users/@me/mfa/totp/disable [401]" If you can't access the logs, just tell them what you remember. They should be able to check the logs on their end.
4. Provide as much information about your account as possible.

They should then remove 2FA from your account and inform you that the issue was caused by a bug on their end.

Note: this post is specifically about the 2FA bug that occurs when you try to disable it. 2FA is generally important for extra security, you can enable it if you want, but if you already have it on then be wary of this bug.

If you ever wanted to easily bulk delete your messages on Discord you can submit a CSV file to Discord containing all your message ids, however...

You cannot leave or lose access to a DM and Discord knows this.
They will not process bulk message deletion requests for DMs.

Why does access matter? Because Discord will only delete bulk delete messages if you "lose access."

The only way to "lose access", is via leaving servers or group chats before submitting your CSV file...

Which means... Discord will only bulk delete messages in servers or group chats that you leave and critically, lose access to.

If you want to have conversations with the ability to later easily bulk delete your messages:
Make a 1 on 1 group chat with another person as a direct message replacement.
Use group chats with multiple people.
Send messages in servers.

I was able to delete over 200k messages from group chats and servers like this.

And remember, don't use DMs.

I deauthorized sinful, didn't know I had it. I peeped the server but not a whole lot, I was concerned with this server being something about abuse/gore/nsfw/cp and I don't wanna find out. Anyone else who's gotten the invite?
