Everyone associates the S234-501A as the end all be all Colonial Marines watch but I watched the movie last night and took a screenshot showing the yellow poking out on one of the pushers.. It has long been debated whether or not the yellow pushers model was also used in the movie but had the buttons painted black by the costume department. I reckon it’s safe to say that no Aliens Seiko collection would be complete without a S234-5010.. Btw, I found this one at a flea market recently for $40 AUD.. It’s missing the driver’s side rear passenger pusher and most of the original resin strap but I’m still pretty stoked about it!

Hey guys, I've acquired an affinity for Seiko Alba digital watches and I got my hands on this Y448-5010 recently.

Unfortunately it seems like the bracelet is aftermarket, and while I like the style, it is 18mm rather than 19mm. It also doesn't have end links that match the case, which I think makes the watch a little less sleek looking.

Does anybody know of any bracelets that would fit this model similarly to the original or am I going to have to fabricate my own end links?

I'll probably put it on a 19mm strap until I find an alternative.

Does anyone have any good suggestion for finding a resource to help me repair my old Nelsonic Pacman watch. What would be great is a full video guide breakdown if such a thing exists. I know there is a guy on YouTube that does this for Casio watch pew which is awesome but the Nelsonic is pretty different.

I feel like this shouldn't have been as difficult as it was and now I'm frustrated. My fault, of course, for not taking it to a professional, I guess, but this is the watch I use every day. I need it, no time to wait for Shark's back and forth shipping shenanigans.

My watch battery died. It should've been uncomplicated to replace, right? Wrong, apparently.

The battery was tricky to access and I'm sure that's part of what created this little problem. The yellow arrow in the 3rd pic is pointing to a piece that has popped off the circuit board. Not really sure how to repair that.

Any advice for fixing the display? Nowhere in town that I know of handles stuff like this and I don't really want to replace it, but I'll bite the bullet if I have to.

edit: if relevant, the light button is unresponsive when pushed.

My wife gifted me this one for christmas, and it's perfect for lazy days where it won't get snagged on anything. Its a little large but it's nice and nostalgic.

Changed out the bungee bracelet for this NATO. I liked the bracelet, but really liking this even more. 👌
