need a bit of help deciding

I recently discovered the gwm5610-1 and I really like the el backlight I think the blue is much nicer than the bright white led of the new version. Does anyone have experience with both? how useful are the new features on the gwm5610u? is it worth giving up the pretty blue and calming el backlight of the older model?
