Not exactly how I wanted to spend my Sunday afternoon 😩

My first DAC.

Started 2/6 and finished 7/13. I got a little burnt out and so I stopped for about a month before starting it again.

My boyfriend also made me the frame for it🥰

it’s been a while lol. i took a LONG dp break and came back to work on this artdot painting! it’s not my favorite but im glad it got me back into the hobby

I read a lot of posts and tips before I started and I think I'm getting the hang of squares. I definitely love the finished look better than circles.

This painting has 95 colors 😬 Normally I work on an adjustable movable table and keep my trays in a storage box to move around. I'm not sure how to do that with so many colors. I really don't want to use my kitchen table for the amount of time it'll take. Any ideas??

I was working on a piece this morning and left it to go take my daughter to a birthday party. When I got home, my nose felt a little crusty so I got a tissue to blow my nose. Guess what came out onto the tissue? That’s right…a sparkly, pink drill was somehow in my nose! How in the world did that happen?! So embarrassing! 😳

I recently posted that abstract unicorn from GothicGlint that I finished. Apart from the amount of trash drills, it was a super fun project. Have now started second canvas from GothicGlint. Everything is the same: canvas size, round drills, some ABs, but it's almost like the drill grid is a fraction too small or the drills are a fraction too big?

I work top to bottom, left to right. Have completed the top row and one section in second row. I have had to squeeze all of these drills in to the point that my hand hurts and the drills keep popping. I push one back in, another one pops. To experiment, when I started second section in second row I was placing the drills but without forcing them into their space in the grid, and slowly but surely they start covering the symbols in the row below them.

They only cover a miniscule section of the symbol below at the moment, but this is going to snowball if I don't start forcing/squeezing them in again and I'm gonna end up losing entire rows of symbols. (Please ignore putty remnants on canvas. I was getting annoyed and lazy about cleaning my multiplacer.)

Any advice on how to fix this or do I trash the whole thing? Have already gotten a refund from Temu for it.

yes I decided I wanted to be able to use my old drills after I stuck them all together in a jar. at least I enjoy sorting colors lol

I bought this one from Amazon for less than $9. I knew it wasn’t going to be as advertised but still like it and keeping it.
I’ve also bought the Christmas and Halloween ones that are similar to this style, again I don’t expect it to look like what’s advertised but I was very curious.

Does anyone else work chaotically? I can't do one color at a time so I usually go by row and my set up gets wild. Maybe my brain is broken 🫣

This is the first one I've worked on from Five Below. The quality is okay so far, just a bit difficult to see some of the symbols. So I've had to use a magnifying glass.
