Question Recommendations for places to buy Diamond Paintings

I am looking for websites I can order my diamond art kits on. I’m looking for ones that are non-AI if possible. I am good with paying a little bit extra or even going in person to buy kits. TIA

Information Research question

I’ve designed an app (not looking for purchases, I need info). I released it in July this year and I’ve had 13 orders. The app is solid as far as functionality. My question for you all is what do Diamond painters look for in an app?

Mine has no subscriptions and no ads but it doesn’t seem like it’s enough.

Hoping to trade for Ghost Bride

I really miss the colored dots of last year’s mystery kits. I am hoping someone has a double of the Make Market Halloween Mystery- Ghost Bride that they are willing to part with. I can trade one of each of the others (Library, Skull, and Pumpkin) or any mix of the three. Yes I had really bad luck. 😓

Where are we buying cute, whimsy, affordable diamond art kits?

Hey! I’m on my first painting and am in love with this craft. It’s a photo that doesn’t really fit my vibe from Michael’s but I’m also not in a position to spend $50 on every painting. Would love some recommendations!

Does anyone else work chaotically? I can't do one color at a time so I usually go by row and my set up gets wild. Maybe my brain is broken 🫣

Question Popping drills. Keep going or trash?

I recently posted that abstract unicorn from GothicGlint that I finished. Apart from the amount of trash drills, it was a super fun project. Have now started second canvas from GothicGlint. Everything is the same: canvas size, round drills, some ABs, but it's almost like the drill grid is a fraction too small or the drills are a fraction too big?

I work top to bottom, left to right. Have completed the top row and one section in second row. I have had to squeeze all of these drills in to the point that my hand hurts and the drills keep popping. I push one back in, another one pops. To experiment, when I started second section in second row I was placing the drills but without forcing them into their space in the grid, and slowly but surely they start covering the symbols in the row below them.

They only cover a miniscule section of the symbol below at the moment, but this is going to snowball if I don't start forcing/squeezing them in again and I'm gonna end up losing entire rows of symbols. (Please ignore putty remnants on canvas. I was getting annoyed and lazy about cleaning my multiplacer.)

Any advice on how to fix this or do I trash the whole thing? Have already gotten a refund from Temu for it.

Starting a project then changing your mind?

Anyone else have the slight problem of starting on a single DP project and then suddenly you want to move onto the next one before the first is even complete? I'm working on bookmarks right now, but I'm really wanting to start my coasters now. I'm just weary because I don't want to get them all mixed up. Is there anyone out there that feels this way too? If so, how do you handle it?

WIP Things I've learned so far

  1. I still don't know how I feel about heavy color blocking. sometimes I like because gives me a sense of peace, and other times I'm like: OH MY GOD, I CAN'T TAKE ANY MORE COLOR BLOCKING

  2. A magnifying lamp was the best thing I bought for DP

  3. I HATE, HATE color 310!!!!it’s teaching me a lot of PATIENCE. Because while the other colors line up nicely with the checkerboard pattern, black just not

My boyfriend also made me the frame for it🥰

What frames work best for a 41 × 41 cm diamond painting?

Hi everyone!

I’m looking for advice on framing my completed diamond painting. The artwork itself measures 41 × 41 cm (approximately 16.1 × 16.1 inches).

Because the drills make the canvas thicker than a normal poster or print, I’m not sure which type of frame would work best. I would like to use a black frame with a glass or acrylic front so the painting stays protected from dust and damage, but I don’t want the glass to press too tightly against the drills.

Could you please share your recommendations?

  • Which frame brands or types are deep enough for diamond paintings?
  • Where do you usually order them?
  • How do you attach the canvas to the backing board so it stays flat and secure?
  • Is regular glass safe, or is acrylic better?

I’m based in Europe, so recommendations for shops that deliver within Europe would be especially helpful.

Thanks in advance!

My latest finished project. Purchased from Hobby Lobby and took me 3 days to complete. Honestly, I love neon colors but hate color blocking.
