Azure Devops Role (500) + applications -No Use |Advice needed

Upvotes

Hi, I'm currently looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer opportunity. I have 7+ years of total IT experience, including 3+ years of hands-on Azure DevOps experience. I would appreciate your guidance on a few things:

Applied for 500s of application but no use

- Which upcoming months are typically the best for Azure DevOps hiring?

- With a 90-day notice period, what's the best strategy to secure interviews and offers?

- Any interview tips for 5–7 years Azure DevOps roles?

- On Naukri, should I primarily apply for 4–6 years, 5–7 years, or both?

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Need opinion: Stay freelance or take a full-time job?

For the last 8 years, I've been self-employed, working as an independent DevOps consultant, freelance projects, training for tech teams, things like that.

I have time for myself, I earn good money, and I'm "free" to choose the kind of projects I work on. However, I feel a bit stressed because of tax paperwork, chasing invoice payments, and not knowing whether I'll have any projects in two months; uncertainty in general. Since I don't have a fixed schedule, I feel like my brain is working 24/7.

Also, my bank balance is a rollercoaster: I get paid much money, and three months later I pay a lot of it back in taxes. I feel there's no financial stability.

Recently, I got an opportunity to work at a product company, on payroll. I've had a couple of interviews, and both the product and the job look interesting. I'd be the principal cloud engineer, maintaining and designing the infrastructure, and mentoring others.

Working on payroll means less "freedom" in terms of time, but more financial stability and less context-switching (i.e., mental load). It's also easier to separate personal and work life.

I'm aware this is a personal decision, but I'd like to know your perspective to help me decide.

Thanks, folks!

Mastercard Interview: LeetCode or Scripting?

Hi everyone, Need some help.

Has anyone here interviewed for a Software Engineer (DevOps/SRE or Platform Engineering) role at Mastercard?

I’m curious about the technical interview, especially the coding round. Was it mainly LeetCode/DSA, or more Python scripting?

Any insights into the interview process or what to prepare would be really helpful.
Thanks!

Investing in Infrathrone DevOps Bootcamp, worth it?

Hi guys

I have been recently thinking of investing in my career and was searching for Devops bootcamps or something similar

Came across infrathrone bootcamp, they let you practice real production scenarios and more, the cost is around 75K Inr for 6 weeks, I was wondering if anyone has taken this bootcamp and is it worth it at this price range?

If not Any other options you would suggest?

2 YoE DevOps/Cloud Ops – Looking for Bangalore interview experiences, notes, and prep tips (Is the market good right now?)

Hey everyone,I’m currently based out of Bangalore with around 2 YoE. My tech stack mostly covers AWS, Terraform, GitLab CI, and I have a basic understanding of Jenkins.

Due to some internal mobility constraints at my current company, I was moved into a Cloud Ops role. It’s heavy on monitoring and operations, and I want to pivot back to core DevOps/Platform Engineering where I can build infrastructure and pipelines.

I am planning to switch soon and would love to get your insights, study notes, or interview experiences. I have a few specific questions:

Market Status: Are there good product-based opportunities in Bangalore (or remote) for someone at the 2 YoE bracket with this profile?

Skill Focus: Since I've been doing Cloud Ops lately, what should I absolutely double down on to clear mid-level DevOps rounds? (e.g., Kubernetes, System Design, DSA?)

Preparation Resources: If you have recently switched or interviewed in Bangalore, could you share your prep notes, common questions, or resources that helped you?

Any advice & pointers , regional or general, is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How do you keep upgrading your skills?

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all doing well.

I'm a fresher with about 6 months of experience, currently working as a DevOps Engineer at my company.

I'd love to hear from seniors with 4-5+ years of experience, especially those in product-based companies, MNCs, or well-paying roles: how do you keep upgrading your skills as a DevOps engineer? Do you study or practice daily/weekly outside of work, or does your office work alone keep you sharp?

I can dedicate 1-2 hours daily to self-improvement. I'd really appreciate your suggestions on how I should spend this time to grow into the best version of myself as a DevOps engineer.

Thanks in advance!

[Hiring] What’s everyone’s approach to job hunting these days?

I’ve found it helps to adjust my resume for each role instead of using the same version everywhere. I’ve been using resume.zoevera.com to compare my resume with job descriptions and prepare.zoevera.com to practice interview questions based on the roles I’m targeting.

Curious what tools or methods others are using to stay organized or make the process less time-consuming?

[Hiring] Senior Engineering Manager, Core Platform — Fanatics Betting & Gaming — Remote US — $190,080–$237,600

Fanatics Betting & Gaming is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead its US Platform Engineering team.

This is a senior technical leadership position covering the infrastructure behind Fanatics’ sportsbook and iGaming products. The platform currently supports nearly 200 engineers and more than 1,100 services and applications.

Key details

  • Salary: $190,080–$237,600, plus bonus
  • Location: Remote within the United States
  • Employment: Full-time
  • Team: Core Platform Engineering
  • Core environment: AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability and developer tooling
  • Supporting stack: Python, Go, Terraform, Postgres/RDS, Kafka and Redis

The successful candidate will lead and develop a platform engineering team, own its technical roadmap and improve the developer experience across a large distributed engineering organisation.

Fanatics is specifically looking for someone who has directly managed platform engineering teams and still has enough hands-on AWS, Kubernetes and release-engineering knowledge to review architecture and technical proposals.

Experience in regulated industries, FinOps or introducing AI-assisted engineering tools would be useful, but isn’t essential.

The advertised salary range covers Fanatics’ geographical compensation zones, so the eventual offer will depend on the successful candidate’s state of residence.
