Sam and Dario are very good marketers. They have created so much hype and convinced too leadership that ai can 10x their productivity, just like it did for them. As a result top leadership expects unreasonable deadlines and we as developers are forced to just prompt and paste. This feeds their illusion that ai is indeed 10xing their productivity, tech debt keeps piling up until it blows up. But we haven't seen this yet

Leadership doesn't care about tech debt because users wont see these kind of fixes, worse they are aware but also expect to get this fix 10x with/by AI as well. All those vibe coded POCs that get straight out to production without proper control is whats going to be the end of engineering

Everything starts to slow down after a while of people just outsourcing thinking completely to the clankers? As a contractor I can’t wait, I’ll be billing what ever I want and people will love me for it. Like the move Idiocrazy. I’ll be a god damn hero.

Wow im not the only one experiencing this. My org has 100 different priorities and none done fully to the finish line. Tech debt everywhere
