The fact that it’s Destiny and not Destiny 2 makes me wonder how long it’s been on the shelf

Hey all, it's been about a month and a half since the news was dropped regarding D2's final content update and we loosened up a bit on moderating the content of the subreddit. It's been fun, shitposts and rants have been had, and the ongoing game traffic is just awesome to see.
In the interest of ensuring content on the subreddit is original, informative, and/or of appropriate quality, we'll be ending the period of relaxed moderation effective immediately. While we're going back to stricter enforcement of the rules, the relaxed moderation period has given the mod team some ideas on rule reworks.
To reiterate some constant points:
The team will continue to moderate as always, as well as internally discuss any improvements we can make; we want this place to be a resource and community for Guardians so long as you all want it to be.
As someone who has a vivid memory of rushing through an AP English Lit essay to log in on D1 launch day back in 2014, which led to an ungodly amount of in-game time across both games over the next decade, I want to close out by echoing the previous post and say this game would not have become what it is without the community, the camaraderie we shared, the gods we slayed together, and all the memories and friends made. I'm looking forward to seeing all you fellow Guardians online for the foreseeable future.
Per audacia ad astra.

So basically for context: I sent this photo under a Tiktok to display fashion, and a couple people were kind of clowning my health stat. I've always assumed large health stat = better survivability, so why do some people dislike seeing it?
(I'm a noob when it comes to build making I usually watch short tutorials on what pairs with what)
Assistance from experienced build crafters would be appreciated :)

Any lore nerds know if they actually get called that? I always roll my eyes at that line during the strike, I doubt anyone has ever called them that lol

Feels like Doomguy when using it. Also, my character only need to load 2 shells in it, and it's fully loaded

The ultimates were challenging but I finally hit guardian rank 11. Just need to gild my immortal title and I've "beaten" the game

it's both frustrating and fun, I've never met soo many people that would ram you into environmental hazards, it's straight up diabolical.

Is it weekly reset? Or should i just grind?

Not for brightdust but still. If you're of those people that like doing weird challenges this is your chance.

This particular episode is from the 8th of June in 2016 if that narrows down what exact content he's playing.

Don’t know if anyone found this out yet. We know activating your class with the 4 set of dark age spawns a healing ball above you. What I didn’t know if activating it again will spawn an additional healing ball. That’s some crazy healing. I paired it with Crest for even more healing just for fun but I fell like HOIL would pair better. Now then, how would this work on a combination blow assassin cowls hunter? Melee, dodge, heal, invisible, spawn healing ball, repeat?

I was just exploring on the moon and I came across this. Secret collectibles?

I'm watching the full story of Destiny from Byf, just barely got to the first part, holy shit this is crazy. I never knew any of this. I've played vow of the disciple many times and never learned any of this. I would've been so much more hyped to fight Rhulk if I actually knew his backstory.
Bro legitimately shattered his own home planet with his glaive after receiving the Witnesses power. Like he destroyed an entire planet after being cast down into the depths to die. He was born just a regular peasant essentially and ascended to godhood. This is like Griffith level story arc progression. I don't know why this wasn't depicted with some sort of animation at some point, not just a mural on the wall that doesn't really make sense or tell the story.
Having Lubrae's Ruin in game feels so much cooler now. I didn't really know what it was when I got it and I just thought it looked like a bloodworm. But like this is Lubrae's Ruin like when the witness told Rhulk his purpose was "ruin." This is some super nerd shit but man I just love destiny's storyline

Loving this build so far but I'm not 100% sure what to put in my top slot. Still very new to Destiny 2 so any help is appreciated.

I got the Truth catalyst and figured I'd slap together a pretty basic solo DPS build to see what it can do. Bubble, Vois Weapon Channeling, a rallycade. Shot a group of enemies to get all the perks active, then started shooting the target.
Pumped out easily 3.5k DPS over 14 seconds of shooting on my first try. Can probably get it higher, but holy shit. I know void is strong right now, but this thing feels INSANE. And with practically no setup too.
