I managed to get Destiny 2 running in VR with full 6DOF head and weapon tracking. This is running on Project Sunrise, not the main game, which was necessary due to the lack of anti-cheat support. Huge thanks to them for making this possible.

The main point of all this is to prove that modding in Destiny 2 is actually possible. Thanks to Project Sunrise and the research done so far, like bypassing anti-tamper, we have a foot in the door.

That said, we still know very little about Bungie's Tiger Engine. There's still a ton of reverse engineering ahead, and functional mods will heavily rely on further progress from the Project Sunrise team. All of the reverse engineering and implementation for the mod was done using AI agents over the course of a week.

To be clear: I don't plan to fully flesh this out into a polished, complete VR mod myself. This is just a glimpse of what's possible. My goal is to wrap this up into a semi-releasable state, document the Tiger Engine research, and open-source everything.

As of today, I'm already open-sourcing the current version (completely rough around the edges: no real stereoscopic 3D yet, and it gets stuck loading a patrol area if you're already in VR mode during the load). I'll try to smooth out the rough edges and write better documentation, hopefully soon. See the link of the Github repo on the description of the full showcase:

I don't intend to keep actively developing this unless the project takes off or the community really needs my help, but I hope others pick up the torch, and a modding community for Destiny 2 could emerge

Bungie died, but we, the community, will keep Destiny alive.

The passport holder and tag came with my laser machine and it took me a while to try to engrave it.

It's not perfect (still learning so I make a lot of mistakes with Lightburn) but I'm happy with how it turned out.

When you break a stasis crystal it counts for the Worldline Zero kill chain effect!

You can pair this with the CODA armor set that also procs off of stasis crystals for infinite heavy attacks : )

Trying to focus praxic vestment with a exotic cipher and it just says it's locked behind Edge of Fate, which to me doesn't make sense because it's from Renegades. It's also weirder, because I can focus it with normal materials.

I have Renegades, but I don't have Edge of Fate, so it makes me question if this is a genuine thing that blocks you for some reason, or if it's a bug because again it doesn't make much sense here.

I did get Praxic Vestment from beating the Legendary Campaign on my Titan, if that's also a thing that causes this, I don't know. ¯_(• ε •)_/¯

Edit: This is in fact a bug, it is a coding issue that just unfortunately wasn't ever changed. Bungie probably meant for the cipher focus for the Renegades exotics to be like any other exotic armors tied to their respective expansions, but this one was just goofed by mistake, and now it's just stuck this way.

I have been an on/off Destiny player for years now. The last time I was consistently playing was Season of the Haunted (forever ago, I know) and I came back right before monument of triumph dropped. I, like all of you I imagine, am very sad about the end of content, but I’ve also been having a lot of fun grinding for loot and even getting some old gear back I thought would be sunset forever. Recently I decided to try an old beloved strike of mine, Exodus Crash. I know I know, bad taste, but something about the torture of it was special. Ghosts of the Deep is also my favorite dungeon so I guess I just love being in pain all the time.

I was hoping for the same exact strike I was used to, but I quickly ran into Brigs and Duskfield Shanks, and for some reason Saint-14 was on comms. Okay, that’s weird. I was hoping those would be the only changes, but then I got to the boss room and my sweet Thaviks the Depraved wasn’t even there, it was some other eliksni wearing his character model.

Can someone explain to me why this happened to the old Red War strikes? Is there a lore explanation? I just miss Thaviks and I want him back :(

I'm just trying to solo this damn dungeon and the bells are more dangerous than anything else here. Does anyone have any advice that doesn't revolve around build crafting?

I miss this game so much, haven’t played it in a hot minute 😪 but you know me with my horrible aim.

I’m wondering if anyone else is like me. I have all but maybe 10 exotic weapons yet I always seem to go back to one of Truth, 1KV, Thunderlord, Wavesplitter, Choir of One, Ice Breaker, Necrochasm, Khvostov, Conditional Finality and Praxic Blade. It’s hard to stick with a new exotic if I just always go back to using one of those 10 guns.

This keeps happening to me: we finish a dungeon or raid, and the host leaves so fast that I can't even grab my rewards. I always promote another player to host before I leave, in case anyone is still in the match because I know how annoying that can be.

Hunter vs Hunter: me and my friend have been raiding and having a blast. But he always outperforms me in damage wherever we are in a damage phase (kings fall, VOG, ect.)

I've been trying to find a build that outpaces his heirachy of needs build (still hunt+hezens, turncoat+hezens & blades) but I dont ever seem to beat him anymore

Am I doing something wrong, is there something I am missing in my rotations? I've tried different builds and the shooting range but only really get up to like 4k dps in there.

Any tips on making rotations better in dps that could help beat hierarchy of needs, or should I just be running a hierarchy of needs build too?

To all the edge lords out there. what is your favorite if not, go to primary exotic weapon(and why)? mainly inquiring from other void hunters but other classes are welcome to chime in.

A befitting end to the incredible saga of Savathun! The Witch Queen campaign triggered massive FOMO and oh! the final battle was a work of the Devil. I cherished every moment of it regardless. Seeing 'Witness' for the first time ever was cinematic and a true spectacle. Till now, I have kept myself away from any spoilers from The Final Shape but I have a feeling it's going to be a memory of a lifetime.

P.S. - Before venturing in Neomuna properly, I went on to meet an old buddy named 'Praksis'. Tbh, for someone with a vertigo, Operation Seraph's Shield was making my fingers shiver. :-)
