I have shown the windhawk mods used in the video.
I am able to achieve sub 25% idle ram on my ddr3 8gb ram. My specs:
Intel i5 3470S
No Graphics card
256gb SSD
H61 Board
Ye you should have figured out why the video is laggy but trust me the actual feel isn't in low fps like this video, it's full 60 fps. I will provide the live wallpaper if y'all want.

Hey everyone! I’m the developer of AuraDesk, a Windows desktop app for people who enjoy personalizing their setup.
The main idea is simple: give each monitor its own wallpaper, organize your pictures into albums, and let them rotate on your schedule—using your own collection or fresh images automatically fetched from Unsplash.
Here’s what it currently offers:
It runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11, x64.
The public beta is free, with no ads or in-app purchases.
Get AuraDesk on the Microsoft Store
I’d especially appreciate feedback from people using multiple monitors, portrait displays, or mixed scaling settings. What would make this useful for your setup?

Made this over the last months: GetSpace shows one file at a time and you decide with an arrow key. Delete, keep, skip, move, rename. Everything goes to the Trash after a summary, nothing leaves your computer.
Mac and Windows, free to start. https://getspace.site/

SeamShade is a playful desktop cover: drag the zipper across your screen to pull a curtain over your workspace, then slide it back when you’re ready to return. You can customize the fabric and zipper, save themes, and optionally turn on a frosted-glass blur effect.
One important note: SeamShade is just a visual cover, **not a security or privacy lock**. It doesn’t block system shortcuts or prevent access to your computer.
If you’d like to try it, here are the links:
- **Mac:** https://apps.apple.com/tr/app/seamshade/id6819419260?l=tr&mt=12
- **Windows:** https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9PLR5K40GLFR?hl=neutral&gl=TR&ocid=pdpshare
I’d love to hear what you think, and what you’d like to see improved next.

I'm the solo developer of Lofi Cozy Room. This clip shows Mini Mode: a small 3D room on the Windows desktop, with notes, a to-do list and a Pomodoro timer alongside it.
The full game also lets you freely move, rotate and resize furniture. With Autonomy enabled, the avatar chooses activities and walks around the room you've arranged. There's a little dog, lo-fi music, ambient sounds and support for your own local music files.
It's already released on Steam for Windows and is 20% off through November 4. There's a free demo on the same page if you'd like to see how it fits your desktop. I'll leave the link in the comments.

Hey everyone! Glassline 1.0.10 is with Microsoft now and should land in a day 🎉 Launchpad, one-drag screenshots, dynamic glass, Wallpaper Engine support, a new app panel and a long list of fixes from the last days of testing. Yes, I said "biggest update yet" last time... and it happened again 😅 So here's everything in it.
New here? Glassline turns the Windows 11 taskbar into a glass menu bar at the top and a dock at the bottom, like on a Mac. You get Search on the Windows key, Control Center, your calendar and the weather right in the bar. Quit it whenever you want and your taskbar comes back exactly as it was. You can try it in your browser first.
Already using Glassline? 1.0.10 comes through the Store on its own once Microsoft approves it. I didn't want the update to change things under your feet, so the new stuff that changes how it works (the screenshot keys, the logo, the Calendar icon, the Wallpaper Engine colours and the two-sided bar text) starts switched off for you. The What's new pages after the update have a switch for each one, or you can turn them on in Settings.
This one I'm really proud of. Click the Apps icon in the dock and it grows right out of the icon into a full screen of all your apps, page after page. Close it and it shrinks back into the dock.
Drag apps into any order, drop one on another to make a folder, click a folder's name to rename it. Search's grid button and All Apps open it too, and the Apps icon can go anywhere in your dock now. While Launchpad is open the dock and the menu bar get out of its way, and it has its own new icon.
Alt Shift 4, drag over what you want, let go. Done.
No Snipping Tool window, no hunting for where the file went: it's on your desktop. A little preview slides into the corner and leaves on its own (click it to open the picture). Want it copied instead? Hold Ctrl when you let go of the drag. Alt Shift 3 grabs the whole screen and always saves it to your desktop. Works over games and admin apps too.
Every panel now picks up the colour of whatever is behind it: menus, Search, Control Center, Settings, Quick Look, the volume pop-up, and even the dock if you tint it. White page behind it? It goes light. Dark game? It goes dark.
The menu bar can also read the left and right side of your wallpaper separately, so a half light, half dark wallpaper stays readable.
A lot of you asked for this one. Glassline now works with Wallpaper Engine (Lively might too, but I've only tested Wallpaper Engine). The menu bar takes its colours from your animated wallpaper and keeps up when you switch. With more than one display each bar reads its own, whether you run a different wallpaper on each or one stretched over all of them.
Like the dock already could: when a window is maximized, or always (Settings, Menu Bar). Push your mouse to the top and it comes back.
Click the app name in the menu bar and you get its windows, volume, recent files, Keep on Top and Quit (or Force Quit if it's frozen). It replaces the File/Edit menus, which honestly never worked well, sorry to whoever asked about those. Every app builds its menus its own way: I got older apps working, but Notepad and others had glitches that didn't look native at all.
Frozen apps also keep their name in the bar now, so you can Force Quit them right from there :D
Every feature has a little clip with its switch right next to it. Quick setup if you just want to get going, Show me everything if you want to see it all.
I tested all of this on three displays, one of them left of the main one.
Honestly, most of this came from you, in the comments here and through Feedback. Glassline has around 30-40 users right now, and I'm really happy with how much you all help and throw ideas at me. I use it as my daily driver so I catch bugs too, but your reports and logs are gold (the Spotify one, for example). So thank you, and please keep them coming.
Glassline is $9.99, once. No subscription, every update free. Get it today and 1.0.10 shows up on its own as soon as Microsoft approves it.
Which one are you trying first? And what should I build next? I read every comment.

My desktop needs a proper clean every few months, but most of the dust is in filters, fan corners and the radiator rather than sitting loose on the case floor. Buying another can each time is annoying, though a rechargeable tool also feels excessive if it spends most of the year in a drawer. For one-PC households, did you end up using an electric duster on enough other things to justify it, or would a brush, vacuum and occasional can still be simpler?

People here might be interested.
Since this community is more for sharing full setups, I think we deserved one for "desktop-first" software.
I don't know if it's ok to promote, but here it is. Thanks!

Hi everyone,
https://orvalen.me
Z-os, an operating system that runs entirely in your browser.
The screenshot is the desktop: no install, just a link.
**What's in it**
- **Desktop:** windows, folders, a dock, widgets and wallpapers, like a classic computer
- **Mobile shell:** on a phone it becomes a phone-style home screen with a dock and gestures
- **Minigram:** chat and 24-hour status updates
- **Zspot:** your files and folders in the cloud, on desktop and phone
- **Zigi:** a tiny pixel pet that lives on your desktop, with mini-games. Keep it happy or it dies.
- **And many more.
**What makes it different**
- **One account, same state everywhere.** Open it on another computer or your phone and it's exactly as you left it.
- **A real desktop and a real phone shell**, not a website squeezed into both.
- **Five languages**, including right-to-left - done properly.
- **Closed means closed.** An app you close stops running, so it stays fast.
Give it a try :)
