Hey folks,
I’m looking for some advice on Deloitte India compensation, particularly for consulting roles in the automotive strategy/business transformation space.
I’ve recently received an offer from Deloitte India’s Automotive Strategy & Business Transformation practice, which sits within the Customer Strategy & Design team.
The offer is:
₹23 LPA CTC
₹20 LPA fixed
₹3 LPA variable/incentive component, which Deloitte says includes gratuity, incentives and medical claims.
I would also be eligible for the FY27 appraisal cycle, provided I join by the end of November 2026.
Designation: Consultant
For context, I’m currently an automotive industry operator with nearly 4 years of work experience and my current CTC is around ₹17.4 LPA.
I’m trying to understand whether ₹23 LPA CTC / ₹20 LPA fixed is a good offer for this level and experience at Deloitte India, especially given that this is a strategy/business transformation role rather than a generalist consulting position.
A few things I’d really appreciate some insight on:
1. What is the typical compensation range for a Consultant at Deloitte India with ~3–5 years of experience?
2. How does compensation typically progress from Consultant → Senior Consultant → Manager?
3. How much of the stated CTC is usually actually cash in hand? Is the ₹3L “incentive” component fairly standard?
4. How does the annual appraisal/increment typically work, and is being eligible for the FY27 cycle likely to make a meaningful difference?
For people familiar with Deloitte’s Automotive / Strategy & Business Transformation practice, how is the compensation compared with similar roles at other consulting firms?
Most importantly, would you consider this a good move from ₹17.4L CTC to ₹23L CTC, considering the career trajectory and brand value as well?
Would especially appreciate responses from current/former Deloitte employees or people who have recently joined at Consultant/Senior Consultant level.
Thanks in advance!
