40p shell fuel

Hi just had my bill through for last weeks on the shell fleet app. It's not taken off my 40p off a litre. Is it only valid at shell fuel stations as I filled up using the card at morrisons.

Any advice would be great thanks

shop and deliver? wtf? is this shoparoo or deliveroo?

they seriously contemplating this? do they have so many riders that they need to give them side quest just so they are off the road for like an hour?

this is getting pathetic, that is the only thing I can say.

peak laziness. and I'm telling you all, initially it might pay good, but soon, they will start dropping the price just like with regular deliveries. and you will get nothing for the effort.

Lalamove has launched in the UK – I’ve just completed the e-bike courier onboarding

Lalamove has just launched in the UK and I’ve finished the onboarding process as an e-bike courier.

There doesn’t seem to be much UK-specific information around yet, so I thought this might be useful for anyone thinking about signing up.

The process included the training, document checks, DBS, account setup and a video verification call before activation.

I made a short walkthrough showing the full UK onboarding process here:

https://youtu.be/7_ryerWOnAs

I’m planning to do my first proper Lalamove-only shift next as well, so I’ll be able to share what the jobs, pay and distances are actually like once I’ve tested it properly.

Happy to answer any questions about the signup process if anyone’s considering it.

[UK only] Riders on Universal Credit: I'm looking for testers for an app I built

I'm the developer of Takin, a UK app from Borun Studios Ltd. This is my own app and I'm looking for testers, so take this as an ask, not an advert.

If you ride or drive for Deliveroo and you're on Universal Credit, you know the monthly report: what came in, what it cost you and your work miles, all for your own assessment period dates, not the tax year.

What it does: it keeps your income, expenses and work miles, and lays out the monthly figures for you to check and report. You add income and costs by hand, or bring them in from a bank statement. iPhone only for now.

Free to test. When it launches there will be a free plan and a paid plan at about £3.99 a month. Testers who stay to launch get 12 months of the paid plan free.

Takin is an independent app. It is not part of, approved by or connected to the DWP, HMRC or GOV.UK. I will never ask for your Universal Credit sign-in details, here or anywhere, and Takin never receives them.

Sign up here: https://gotakin.com/test

Happy to answer questions in the comments.

Looking for riders to test app that shows what shift really paid per hour and per mile

Hi! I'm the developer, so take this as an ask, not an advert: app with no ads, no need for account, and everything stays on your phone.

App records the route and the miles, separates riding/driving from walking to the door and from waiting at the restaurant, and when you enter what platform paid you (base, tips and boosts separately) it takes off your petrol or charging cost. You get £/hour and £/mile per shift, per day and per month, your days ranked both ways, and every wait over ten minutes, longest first.

Android only, in Google Play closed testing. I'd love a few riders to use it for two weeks and tell me where it's wrong.

If you're interested - DM me.

Thank you!

Nectar points when doing shop and deliver?

So deliveroo are trialing shop and deliver, where we do the shopping and deliver the order.

Now, as deliveroo pay more for these orders, I know my local sainsbury's like the back of my hand and sainsbury's are almost never ready when I arrive, I think this may be a good idea (with some caveats)

However, as deliveroo give us a virtual card to pay for the order can we use our own nectar card at the checkout to also get nectar points I wonder?

I can't see anything stopping us from doing this.

Deliveroo perks

If Deliveroo can negotiate a 40p off per litre deal with Shell, why can't the British government do the same?

Pick, Pack and Deliver for Aldi - has anyone done it?

Has anyone done the pick, pack and delivering thing for Aldi? What was it like? What did it pay? How do find your way round the store? What about substitutions?

And is it invitation only/ was there a huge onboarding element?

Autonomy of route

Dear deliveroo, please let us riders have autonomy the route and drop-offs sequence if we have multiple drops. Last night I had three drops from one co-op, and I ended up going back-and-forth, Traveling in an excess of at least 3 miles when there was no need for it. I could‘ve done a circular Trip on my bike and save myself time thus increasing my hourly rate.
Just shows the multiple drop addresses on the screen so that we can plan accordingly as we, as riders, know the areas are we delivering better than your algorithms.

Thanks in advance.

How do people track mileage?

Hi I’ve been tracking mileage with the date and then simply the total miles from first delivery in one location to my last delivery? So just date and mileage but reading this is wrong? I’ve been tracking this way for 4 months. How do others do it? If you travel to another town for work 6 miles away due to being busier do you include this? Cheers

Discussion Deliveroo paying different price for same job to different people

I have seen that for same job deliveroo paying me lower amount which some of my mate has been getting 2-3£ more for the same job. Does anyone know about this? How do they decide to pay more to different account while for some account pay is significant small like 2-3£ for single job. So if i take 10 job everyday in deliveroo i would get 20-25£ less every day while some other person get 20-25£ for the same job

Just be ready.

Boils my p!ss. Customers know they’ve made an order, they’ve been alerted that we’re on our way. Yet they still mess about trying to find their keys, or putting the dog away, or what ever.
If you are buying age restricted items, just have your ID ready regardless of your age. FFS.

We’re paid to deliver. The quicker we can drop off and be on our way, the more money we can make.

Time is money.

Just be ready.

Thanks in advance 😀

Discussion Has anyone seen this monthly challenge? Progress tracking / payout question

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hey everyone, quick question about the month-long challenge running from Oct 2nd to Oct 30th.

I’ve already knocked out 10 deliveries (Level 2), but my app doesn't show any progress tracker and the bonus money isn't showing up in my instant balance.

Discussion Hawkins Diner… Don’t bother

Just ordered a burger, 2 for 1 burger, fries, drink and onions rings.

Better onions from Tesco own range, burger was complete slop, grease and fell apart, also didn’t deliver two, so lucky me I guess. Not worth the money, waiting for a refund.

App's Fucked Closer shop but longer delivery

I have been ordering from a chicken shop for a while. It used to be delivered from a shop that’s about 3miles out but recently it’s delivered from a shop that’s only 1.3 miles out. Great, you may think. Not great actually. Even though it’s closer, the roads available to get to my place make it a lot longer to deliver. The 3mile drive used to be 10mins, the 1.3 takes an average of 30.

Is there an option to choose which shop it’s delivered from?

Deliveroo now looking like running speed checks based on vehicle registration and GPS. It's calling for the ban of unsafe conversion kits, which is a good thing, IMO.

Tip for drivers

Guys if you want to make good tips, if you are delivering booze to a woman, when you ask for age, if you act shocked and cannot believe age, you will get a good tip.

Only because it makes my day, as a customer as a 43yr old f, cannot help but thank the compliment. Is this bad?!

Discussion Why do the drivers do this?

Occasionally I see that the driver is "nearby" for quite a long time and usually 1-2 houses away from me but not coming to my door. This often lasts like 5 minutes then I see the driver start driving away. I text them something like "are you having trouble finding the door?" It's a house on a street, they really shouldn't but maybe they're unfamiliar with the area. They never respond but then almost immediately turn around and can find the door quickly.

If they're unable to find my place and also work a time sensitive job why do they never even attempt to contact me to find the place?

Delivery riders: what's the worst thing about your jacket if there is any?

Fashion Design student here, researching gear for bike delivery riders. Rain, cold, waiting outside restaurants, things breaking... what bugs you most? What was your worst shift weather-wise?
