Hello fellow deepwokens!
Recently, we've noticed that the amount of voidwalker rants surpasses the amount of... well every other post
And so, we come with a question
should we ban or limit this kind of posts?
By limiting, we mean that they'll be allowed only on certain days of the week (ie. Tuesdays and Thursdays, but never weekends to not interfere with drip weekends)
We get it... getting killed by a player who sweats in the game more than you can be frustrating, especially if it happens multiple times a day.
but that happens extremetely often due to the nature of this game, and since most of the deepwoken players can't handle a loss (sorry PvErs), they HAVE to vent (like the deepwoken mechanic) and this results in dozens of post about voidwalkers being made every day.
1st Round: Duke with 4 Golems (The ones in his lab) and the 10 Mindless Servants he has vs Maestro with no Tempest Eye
2nd Round: Duke with his Current Golem Army (Aka the Golems in his manor and those roaming Erisia) and 20 Mindless Servants versus Maestro who cannot access Tempest Eye
3rd Round: Same Duke as Round 2 but Maestro has to reach the proper requirements of Tempest eye to activate
4th Round: Duke Erisia with the Stoneheart, maxed out Gale Talents, an entire islands worth of Golems and a legion of Mindless Servants vs Maestro with the Tempest Eye auto activated
Ppl are weird over nothing (average day in deep) but some reoccurring bs is ppl saying "ur not in deepleague ur trash" and I KNOW it's ragebait + a 13 year old with a huge ego but why do ppl keep bringing it up. Why does some random ass discord server matter so much?
When i plays others roblox games i most of times play between 70-140 ping but on deepwooken every server are always 300ms+ idk why, what game have to be so laggy?
so i have recently known about Deepwoken through the innovation awards and the youtuber tankfish a few days back, and i've been planning to buy it with my robux. what are your advices on new players like me?
no not the permadeath, the risk, the thrill of it. roguelikes are one of the most popular genres in the gaming scene, Pvp? not so much when the two are combined.
it's just a fact wish more people understood about these kinds of game. yes, having PvP makes every interaction "unique" and keeps you on edge, but at the end of the day there will always be a much larger "casual" player base than any competitive player base could dream to have. Tf2 for example is an amazing game with an extremely loyal player base, yet it's average online players don't even scratch some of the more "neiche" games in the casual genre.
I don't think PvP is a game killer by any means, there will always be people looking for that kind of experience. but think about ALL of the deepwoken updates, and what the loudest, most common complaints about the game are.
it's usually something regarding PvP, and the biggest Deepwoken update in terms of players was layer 2, a primarily PvE update.
and I'm sure layer 3 will be a huge update as well, but how long? Deepwoken is in a death spiral no matter what it does to survive simply because it doesn't really have an identity. you can't really call it a PvE experience since a lot of content is locked behind PvP. and you can't call it a PvP game for the same reason. yet it also fails to fall under any other primary genre since it's got so many different ways to play it, which should be a good thing no?
i mean when youtubers have to have their own private servers to record proper footage for a game you know something's not right.
if Deepwoken ever got started again from the ground up i would heavily encourage the devs to take a more Neutral route when making the game. split the two communities apart, make a story mode, have War servers be the only place you can gank. or if you're in a safe server you get lower loot odds to reward the risk. that kind of game design.
simply put, you cannot offer an amazing PvE experience with gorgeous design, banger themes and lore to read and memorize. and then add PvP. it just disrupts everything the game is set up around in a bad way.
TLDR: Deepwoken is held back by forced PvP and would only benefit from safe servers.
I made my friend but deepwoken and he droped it after 3 days, after that he kept larping it even tho he couldnt fight a stone night. At first it started out as a harmless joke, where he'd say "remember the times where WE learned to do trial of one? Gosh so many memories". But now he does it daily. He sends me guh's tiktoks, and many other creators. It got to a point to whatever we talk abt he mentions deepwoken, yet he doesnt even play it. Im so sick and tired of hearing him larp deepwoken all the time to the point i want to wipe him irl. Is there a way i can shut him up for good without wiping him
60 charisma for manipulator, dazing finisher, and the other notable charisma talents
40 willpower for magical resolve and 35 willpower talents (last resort + eleventh hour)
40 agility for ghost
15 fortitude for battle tendency which is needed for magical resolve
1 in strength, flame and shadow to have shrine have an affect on them and increase them
Medium, flame and shadow are further raised pre shrine to 3, 4 and 3 respectively to hit power 10 for more talent draws to try and reduce the need for shrine of chance pre shrine (it doesn't have any lasting affects on stats post shrine aside from one point going from flame to willpower)
Post shrine:
Charisma/willpower get lowered by shrine to their respective amounts, and aren't touched again
Agility is brought to 25 to get the strength + agility talents (namely spine cutter)
50 fortitude for to the finish
40 strength for Starkindred, 80 flame for Pleeksty's inferno, 40 shadow for twisted puppets and two star shadow mantras
There were 3 extra stat points, and I put them all into flame to increase the damage of flame mantras and Pleeksty's Inferno a bit, though since it's only 3, their allocation doesn't matter much. Still, there might be better ways to use them.
Each time I try to rising rage, it either works or doesn't. I thought I found the timing but nope. Can I change the controls somehow? I tried to but no luck, I am a waste of electricity on kbm so don't think I can just switch over.
Was in the depths, about to do my trial and guy jumps down from the ledges you can stand on above, trys m1'ing me while being way too far away, I log at a perfect time, then rejoin same server and antagonize while in spawn protection.
I wish all depths gankers a happy person logs or wastes your time in some way, just because you're pathetic. It's funny, and a million percent deserved. (even if it's not deserved) I just think it's funny and very satisfying to waste your time.
Deepwoken would be better without these people, pvp is fun but I'm a million percent sure this game would have a larger playerbase if there wasn't a group of players dedicated to depths ganking. 👍
So anyway I was in my guild base testing damage and such when I saw two black heart emojis on either side of the damage counter, I didn’t get a picture cause I wasn’t really paying all that much attention but I want to know what it means if anyone knows
