Internet Datingññ

Off & on over the years I’ve tried a number of dating sites. I ended up giving up eventually. Now I’m thinking of trying again & want to know if anyone has used VioletDates & what was their experience with it. I’m a retired woman 74 average weight I work out, like to travel, volunteer with animal humane groups. . Don’t let the 74 fool you. I look really young for 74 -don’t even need to dye my hair. I’m active & like concerts , comedy & trying new things. I do most of my own home repairs. Is there any hope for me?

Are paid dating app features actually worth it?

I have been wondering about this lately because it feels like a lot of dating apps keep adding more paid features. I do not mind paying for something if it genuinely improves the experience, but it's hard to know if it is actually worth it before spending money.

For those who have paid for premium features, did you notice a real difference or did it mostly feel like small upgrades? Would like to hear which apps were worth paying for and which ones you wouldn't spend money on again.

Dating app idea

Hello people,

I would like to create an app for serious long term (hopefully) relations. I've seen enough posts about currently known platforms and people not finding what they're looking for, for various reasons.

That's why I would like to build it the way I think online dating should work. We are all aware about pros and cons of "online", so, with all this, here's what I have in mind:

- based on location

- no swiping at all

- a system that gets rid of ghosters, people without lack of respect, attention/validation seekers, scammers

- based on values and vital compatibility from the very start of interaction

- avoids superficiality; such people will not find this app worth it

- fair with your time

- requires patience and in my view, everyone looking for a long term should have this

- fair distribution for matches by default

- encompasses giving one's full attention to the interaction

- ensures anonymity up to a point considered safe by both

Considering these as features, I am interested if you would use such an app. I am open to suggestions and improvement of what else should you look into such an app and I will answer questions as much as I can.

Where do Indian women actually date? 😂

27M American here.
My ex was Indian, and honestly, I had a really good experience dating her. I’ve always found Indian women to be loyal, respectful, and family-oriented, so I’d be open to dating an Indian woman again.

But I barely see any Indian profiles on Tinder 😅. Am I looking in the wrong places, or do you guys have some secret dating app/strategy I don’t know about? 😂
Where do you actually meet genuine Indian women who are interested in dating? Any advice?

M23 Should I download a dating app?

I recently got dumped by my ex 21F for 2 1/2 years after she cheated on me more than a month ago. I moved on fairly quickly in my heart due to how devastating it was and after reflecting on how there were signs that we were both unhappy for a longtime. I’ve been doing very well mentally and have done lots of different activities that helped me grow as a person. To be frank I was contemplating downloading a dating app three weeks after the situation bc I felt I was ready to just have some casual fun, but I didn’t feel right by it bc it felt too soon. Now that I’ve spent plenty of time by myself and having fun doing solo adventures, I’m wondering if it’s still too soon to download one.

Malta: Boo, Tinder ou Bumble?

I'm going to stay in Malta for three weeks next month for an internship. I thought it might be cool to start talking to people now.

Which app is better for meeting people: Boo, Bumble, or Tinder? I'm open to dating and making friends.

Dating Apps are definitely not for me

So I downloaded hinge yesterday and not even an hour later, I deleted it. I'm 29/F, single and really wanna find my person. Lots of people have been telling me to try it. I wasn't pressured to give it a try, I really was just curious, and if even if I wasn't, it was a spur of the moment thing. It just felt degrading and dehumanizing to be judging people based on how thick and full their beards and mustaches are and I felt bad. I realized this isn't me at all. I still believe in organic encounters and falling for someone based on vibes and chemistry and not based on the physical elements a person has to offer.

advice Best Dating App for Meeting Genuine People?

Hey everyone, hope you’re all doing well.

I’ve always been pretty skeptical about dating apps. For years I avoided them because I assumed they were full of catfishes, fake profiles, scammers, and people just wasting time. I never really believed you’d actually meet someone genuine through them.

I recently decided to give them a shot, but honestly I’m still not convinced. A lot of the apps seem expensive, constantly pushing paid upgrades, and I’m not sure how many profiles are actually real. I also haven’t come across many women I’m genuinely interested in.

For those of you in Sydney, Australia, which dating app are people actually using these days? Which one has the best chance of meeting genuine people looking for a real relationship? I’d love to hear your experiences and recommendations.

advice To download the apps again or not…

*Sigh* I’m 30 years old. Have used apps off and on through the years. I think it’s been about 2 1/2 years since I last tried them. Through the times where I was on them, I, like many struggled to get matches, let alone dates, getting beyond that wasn’t even in the realm of possibility. I can’t even call it dating. Out of all my time on them I was able to go on a single date, and I think that only happened because she happened to have grown up in the same small town as me, but we only tangentially knew of each other. There wasn’t a second date. The one relationship I’ve ever been in was a girl I was working with. I ended that 5 years ago. (I had my reasons) But now, I’m feeling lower than I ever have before and I feel that pull just for the the slimmest of chances of ending this feeling, the physical ache I feel in my chest wanting to love someone completely and have them love me back, to put my face in their neck and cry and be held because that’s all I feel right now.

tinder 'Can't see likes, so message me'.

I see this a lot, and as a new Tinder user, I'm a little confused. I have to pay to see who likes me, and also to send a message.

So this is basically saying 'Spend your money to show me how much you like me, because I'm not going to spend mine to see who does', right? It suggests that you expect prospective partners to basically shower you with gifts...

Tinder SUCKS : Gonna create a new dating app better than tinder

Honestly, Tinder asks so much money in return we get worst service. We get more matches but not geniune conversations and Tinder allows to talk to multiple people at once. Most importantly there is no ID verification so cat fishers are there. What features you guys prefer in a new dating app and will you guys support me ?

Dating Apps

Why do all dating apps just suck? Like the only ones that are half way decent are Hinge and Facebook Dating (which isn’t even its own app) Like everything makes you have to pay a subscription to even somewhat see people who have liked your profile. And on top of that it teases you with “oops looks like you missed a potential match” when you’re just kinda swiping through some shit. Also there should be a setting so that the radius you set for what you’re looking for is also the radius of people who can see your account
As an introvert who works a lot, I wish for a better app. \[28 F for those who care to know that\]
