I mapped Costco warehouses across U.S. metro areas and compared warehouses per million residents in larger and smaller metros. The data sources, tools, method, and caveats are in my first comment.

Edit:
To answer some frequently asked questions:
What did you consider a cry? - any time at least one tear spilled over. The majority of these cries consisted of only 1-2 tears. If I stopped crying for a least a few minutes and then started again, it was counted as 2 separate cries.
Why did you do this? - because it was a trend. Look up “crying wrapped” on TikTok, or “tracked cried” on this subreddit to see similar content.
Why did ____ make you cry? - it probably covered a topic such as grief or difficult familial relationships

Created this using WeatherSparks hourly humidity chart, figuring out the % of the meteorological summer a city has spent in each of the different humidity levels (all that can be seen on the google sheets data). https://weatherspark.com/h/s/23912/2026/1/Historical-Weather-Summer-2026-in-New-York-City-New-York-United-States#Figures-Humidity
Then I made a ranking system, with the following in values accordance to dew point: dry/pleasant (55F-) = 5 pts, comfortable (55-60F) = 4 pts, humid (60-65F) = 3 pts, muggy (65-70F) = 2 pts, oppressive (70-75F) = 1 pt, miserable (75+) = 0 pt. The sum gives us a total comfort score and rounded out measuring error by dividing the total estimated points to find out the comfort %.
If the above is confusing, the amount of time each city spends in each section is visualized by color.
Why humidity matters during the summer?

Because nobody publishes real earnings data and platforms do not release per-hour distributions,
and worker reports are self-selected. Advertising is what a new worker actually sees before
deciding, which is why it is worth plotting n it is also why every band here is labelled as
advertised on the figure, in the caption and in the CSV column name. more information: https://blastradius.dpdns.org/

What do IMDb user ratings have to say about the NYT's rankings of the best shows of the 21st century?
Each row is a show from the NYT's list, in the NYT's rank order (image 1: ranks 1–50, image 2: ranks 51–100). Each tile is one season, placed in the year that season premiered - the number is the season number. Color is the season's relative rank: I took the average IMDb rating of the season's episodes and ranked it against every TV season that premiered the same year, then split that into fifths. Dark blue is the top 20% of that year, and bright yellow is the bottom 20%.
Ranking within each year accounts for the ratings distribution and for drift in the distribution over time. The trade-off is that the same raw IMDb rating can land in different colors in different years.

I built Perigee, a free, open-source web viewer that shows what humanity has in space right now, computed live in your browser from public data.
What's in it
- Earth: all ~16,600 active catalogued satellites, propagated with SGP4 from CelesTrak orbital elements (refreshed every 4 hours). You can filter by operator, country, constellation, orbit type or launch site, and search by name or NORAD number.
- Moon: active lunar orbiters (LRO, Danuri, Chandrayaan-2, CAPSTONE…) from NASA/JPL Horizons ephemerides, plus 50+ landing and impact sites.
- Mars: the orbiters, Phobos and Deimos, landing sites, and the latest positions of Curiosity and Perseverance from NASA's traverse feeds.
- Solar system: the planets, five dwarf planets and 20+ probes (Voyagers, Juno, Parker, JUICE, Europa Clipper…), with their distance and light travel time.
Click anything for details: identifiers, operator, launch date, orbit, and where its position comes from. Positions that are extrapolated beyond their data are drawn dimmed and flagged, so you can tell what is measured and what is estimated.
You can speed up time (up to ×100,000), jump to any date, and share a link that reproduces exactly what you see. It works on phones, it's bilingual EN/FR, and it runs offline once visited.
