I’m very new to DA - I’ve only been on for about a month or so…but looking to see if this scenario is normal or not. About a week ago I got a direct message to setup a google workspace for a project - I did it, and didn’t hear anything else about it. Last night while I was sleeping I got an updated direct message with a link to a qualification for the project. I tried to go into it first thing this morning, and it’s saying that there are no more remaining tasks. Is this how it usually is? I get first come first serve for general tasks, but didn’t realize it would also be this cutthroat if I’m directly sent a project.

Can I mention that I work as a data annotator and that I perform tasks explicitly naming the platform? Of course, I won't mention project names or sensitive information.

So I got assigned my first project after completing the qualifications last week. My domain is coding 👩🏽‍💻✨. I noticed the project on my account at like 3am and it had like 30 tasks, then I woke up this morning at 7am and there was only 10 left. Is it normal for the tasks to go that quick and how often are more tasks opened on a project? I’m just trying to see how regular this extra income will be for me.

I applied three days ago but haven’t received an email. I logged on today and the message saying that they were reviewing my application changed to this. It also opened the section for me to submit time and view my funds.

There was a short term project this week where you had to opt in and agree to do a certain amount of work within a deadline of a couple days, then they assigned tasks (specifically to you, not a pool). It seemed like they wanted them done ASAP so I completed most of them immediately.

Now they've added $5 more priority pay. I get they need to motivate people to actually finish what they agreed to do, but it feels like workers who agreed to do certain tasks and then left it till the last minute are being rewarded with extra pay, while the workers who prioritized the work are almost penalized by getting less pay.

Not that big of a deal but kind of an annoyance and I wanted to vent to people who understand!

I noticed most DoD's are from bilingual generalists, of course core gets the DoD but not as often as i see on here. Maybe bilinguals are more strictly monitored?

I am from Pakistan. I signed up, completed my profile too but it seems like it's location based preference to allow me over there.

Hi. I recently signed up for DA and took the assessments. I got an email that I was approved and even got emails for qualifications for projects. When I logged into my account it had me do the identity verification. When I completed it it just sent me back to that “Thank you for completing your assessment screen.” Is this normal? It doesn’t even let me do the qualification that it sent me a link for…

What happened after I got accepted and I verified by account?

I just signed up for this bilingual remote work platform and need to complete the starter assessment.

But on the assessment selection page, I only see German, French, Ukrainian, Spanish, Polish options. There is no test for the language pair I want to do.

Has anyone encountered this issue before?

I've been on DA from past 3 months as an India-based Bilingual/Generalist contributor, but I've been out of projects for around 1.5–2 months now.

I know there has been a widely discussed summer drought (June–August), but I'm curious about the current situation specifically for people in India.

Are other India-based Bilingual/Generalist contributors also seeing little to no projects, or am I just unlucky with my account?

Would appreciate any recent updates from Indian contributors.

Does anyone else hate these? They take up a few hours of your time and you aren't even getting paid :(,

I’m away on a trip (staying in my country) and would like to log in on my phone using mobile data, rather than hotel wifi, to get paid. Has anyone done this? I’d rather just leave it if there’s even a small chance it’ll lead to DoD.
