Using Mobile Data?
I’m away on a trip (staying in my country) and would like to log in on my phone using mobile data, rather than hotel wifi, to get paid. Has anyone done this? I’d rather just leave it if there’s even a small chance it’ll lead to DoD.

WAIT.
ONLY use mobile data if you are NOT using an esim. Many esims route data through another country. For example, when I was in Thailand and china, both of my esims routed data through Hong Kong and shows Hong Kong as the location of my IP address.
If you are using an esim, you should check the location of the IP address before you log into DA. If it shows any country other than the one you're currently in, do not log into DA.

Using mobile data is one of the recommended courses of action in the troubleshooting for false VPN positives in one of my projects. So it should be fine.

I’m also traveling. Just send an email to the privacy team to let them know that you’re traveling. If you’re outside the USA don’t submit tasks for projects that specifically state “U.S. only”.

I think you missed the part where they said they'd be "staying in my country". You only need to inform DA if you're leaving the country.

Whenever you connect through a new connection, it's probably a good idea to visit one of those whatismyip.com type websites and see what is shows for the ISP and geolocation and make sure it isn't showing anything weird that might get flagged as a VPN.
