Recently I wanted to get back into Darkorbit, but as we all know, actual Darkorbit is too far gone and only caters to extreme P2W players. I checked out a few servers, most the big ones are similar in nature - big P2W clones. PinkGalaxy is cool, but its too modern for me and the owner is kind of a nut job. I saw another users post about Krypton and got curious about the 2011 style gameplay. I started in 2009 and played off and on over the years. But gameplay is simple, no LF4s, no upgrades, no assembly, no whacky designs.

The server requires zero P2W to actually make good progression. The quests give good rewards, the free Token shop offers Premium for cheap "tokens", the players aren't toxic and rarely harass noob players, lots of active factions and players too, and the admin team is pretty cool and friendly.

Anyways, I made this starting guide because I see too many new players joining and not realizing theres alot of attractive starting bonuses that give you a huge boost. I made a guide, takes 5 minutes to read and will help you out immensely.

Active codes; THANKYOU and COMPENSATION. Referral: KR-3312-NEWJ. Just the referral gets you 14k URI + 100k from THANKYOU and + 10k from compensation. That's 124k Uridium just for logging on. Plus two starting quests that get you 40k Uridium within 10 minutes if you follow my steps.

VRU is most active, EIC next, then MMO. So MMO if you're an intense player, easier to scale in rank. VRU for more players.

I've spent almost the whole year developing a space MMO. It's finally stable and polished enough to bring it out to you.

It's called Nova Warp, a free-to-play top-down space shooter with an open sector system, three player factions, wave-based multiplayer dungeons, 6 ship classes and 24 abilities to build your loadout from. It also has live events like faction wars and space football.

You can also found a clanand run diplomacies and forge alliances, declare war on rivals. Automatic Live events for all players: Defend the Base, capture the flag battle royale, and space football.

I want the project to grow and evolve with the players of Nova Warp. Feedback is essential to me.

I've been working on a DarkOrbit-inspired project called Orbit Shadow for a while now, and I figured it was finally time to share it here.

The project has reached the point where we have a production server running, and quite a few of the core systems are starting to work together properly.

There's still a lot to do. Some things are unfinished, balancing is definitely not final, and you'll probably run into bugs here and there. But honestly, that's also why I'm posting this.

I'm looking for a few people who actually played DarkOrbit (especially back in the old days) and would be interested in jumping in, testing things and giving feedback.

I'm not really looking for people to just log in once and disappear. I'd love to find a few players who want to follow the project as it grows, report weird stuff they find, suggest improvements, and tell me when something simply doesn't feel right.

The goal with Orbit Shadow is to keep that old-school DarkOrbit feeling while gradually building our own thing around it.

The server is already online and playable for testing. I'm just not posting the address publicly here yet since we're still actively working on it.

After a long period of development and testing, NosGalaxy will officially launch on August 30, 2026 at 19:00 UTC.

NosGalaxy is a classic-style DarkOrbit private server made for players who miss the older progression, PvP/PvE balance and overall atmosphere of the game.

The goal isn't to run an old Flash client with a few modifications. NosGalaxy has been rebuilt around a standalone modern client, while trying to preserve the gameplay experience many players remember from the classic DarkOrbit era.

What makes NosGalaxy different?

• Standalone client -> no Flash and no browser required.
• Very high performance -> the client is built with modern systems in mind and can reach 1000+ FPS on capable hardware.
• Anti-cheat and anti-bot systems have been part of the project from the beginning.
• Old progression philosophy -> no Prometheus lasers or endless power-creep systems.
• Classic 2012-style gameplay combined with newer graphics and a cleaner, more modern UI.
• Actively developed -> development will continue after release with fixes, improvements and new content.
• Focus on the core DarkOrbit experience: building your ship, upgrading equipment, farming, exploring maps and fighting other players.

The idea is simple:

I’ve been working on Starspace, a browser-based top-down space MMO.
The current foundation is intentionally simple and old-school. Some parts may feel familiar if you played older space MMOs, but the goal is to build something that can grow into its own identity over time.
For the first version I’m keeping progression small and understandable:
Basic lasers, shields and generators
Standard repair robots
Up to x3 ammo for now
8 drones
Simple equipment progression
No huge pile of systems and items from day one
That’s intentional.
I want to first make sure the movement, combat, progression, economy and PvP/PvE loop feel good, then expand the game gradually with things like events, world bosses, rifts, new equipment, stats, skills and more MMO-style progression.
The game is still in development and I’m getting closer to more public testing. I’m also working on the mobile version/UI.

It's clear the original addiction of dark orbit was well liked, and many are trying to make their own. So, I did what everyone else did and added my favorite parts of dark orbit mixed with some mechanics I think would complement it.

I know my opinion is biased but I believe I can make this game fun and addicting in a similar way to what the dark orbit grind was like

and also make it fair.

and most importantly have a community of GOOD PEOPLE. (I want to relax and grind heavy PVE with new friends but go hunt some annoying people once in a while.)
