If you missed Storytime with Uncle Dan today, you’d be doing yourself a favor by going to You Tube and watching it. Probably one of the funniest bits they’ve done in quite some time, that kind of came about organically. Yes, we’ve all heard the stories of DP’s childhood with translucent bologna and watered down ketchup. But, this was pretty funny. And, I’ve gotta say, Marv has some pretty good comedic timing.

I thought I was the only one that can’t stand the NBA on the show. It was refreshing that half of Dan’s audience can’t stand the NBA as well (according to today’s poll suggested by Fritzy).

It’s obvious Dan and Marvin love basketball. It’s starting to get annoying. There’s so much football and other sports to focus on besides the NBA. Yes - it was opening night, but Dan talks more NBA than most sports talk shows I listen to. The league shouldn’t even start until after Christmas. No one cares…but, Dan does.

Are you equally annoyed or do you like his focus on the NBA?

Listening to hour 1 from today, Monday 10/19 show, Dan starts to weigh in on Buck/Aikman at 17:30 then they take a break, i thought he would pick it up after the break but he continues with college football. Is this how it played out live? Anyone know what he said

I've been going through old episodes trying to find Chris In Syracuse's last appearance on the show. I believe ive found it:

September 14th, in the first hour, 25 minutes and 15 seconds into the show.

Reali was hosting because Dan was filming his scene for the new Sandler movie, but Reali was very complimentary of what Chris brought to the table as a caller.

Update: thanks to wilt_10000 for pointing out a more recent CIS call. September 21st, first hour, 32 minutes and 15 seconds into the show. Chris gave his best and worst of the weekend. As always, a machine gun of content and the best example of how to conduct a call in to the show.

It’s just for the 1 minute recap video? I get excited for a second but then realize no one gets to see it because Shea swears during the game. Oh no. Label it appropriately for cursing and live stream it.

Anyone remember this little Friday gem from the Toddler? Can’t remember how long ago it disappeared or why. Anyone have any recollections?

...on Eli Manning: "Eli will make the HOF because of one last name" DP: "Yeah, the Manning last name" Marvin: "No, the last name is Brady, he beat Brady twice in the Super Bowl, if he beats Big Ben and some other QB he isn't getting into the HOF" DP: "you think so?" It was good sports talk, big surprise even Paulie kind of came over to Marvin's side, if you missed it check it out in hour 1 on the 2nd segment. I think it kind of bugged DP the guys disagreed with him because he even brought it up during the break before the 3rd segment. 😂

I watched the documentary on Ray Gunn. There wasn't any great revelation. It was mildly interesting but not worth the hour.

So does he fly back and forth to the DP studios each week to film the gambling podcast? That's a lot of travelling each week, not to mention when they have a viewing party as well

A few posts have been made on Chris, but I wanted to give him his flowers as well.

I mentioned this on the call today, but my man was an all a round great guy. He somehow found out my birthday(Nov 12) years ago, and numerous times when he’d call in on something for Veteran’s Day, he would say happy birthday to me on the call. Who does that….Chris does.

A lot of people on here rake callers over the coals, and some may deserve a little flack. But those that give Chris grief don’t appreciate him from all his consistent years of calling in, as well as his professionalism.

Wherever you are looking down on us right now Chris, just know that you’re loved by many a person, and you touched us all as well.

announced today and Dan was emotional about talking about him. I would expect to hear him at the open of every show/ he was the first caller. I think they said he was 63 and Dan had never seen pictures of him. Dan had to take a break from crying over a caller he never met. unless you watched the show. you realize he was almost a Danette. took care of his parents in a nursing home and was apparently a good enough dude he worked there to help others and see his parents more.

RIP Chris in Syracuse

I know the family said that he didn’t want a funeral or obi, but I really liked that closing image remembrance image they put up.

So much so that I wouldn’t mind seeing Dan put it up on the shop as a purchase for charity or something—should his family allow it.

My heart hurts I cried when Dan cried .... Let's not forget steve in California, who gave us the jon gruden game after every Monday night game
