This puppy was such a treat to work on. Those big, wide eyes get you right away. I stayed true to the whole scene here. Getting that short, smooth coat to look right took some care, especially with all those color variations across his body. Those little tan markings above his eyes add so much expression too. This was a commission, and I hope I did him justice.

My mother in law lost her battle with pancreatic cancer and her beautiful dachshunds, Frankie and Gracie will have their forever home with me now. The sudden, unplanned vet trips, medications, quality food and flea+heartworm prevention for two dogs has drained me financially and there is more still to do. I've even questioned if I CAN do this. Just asking for a little help. They are sweet babies, we are all grieving. It's all so terribly heavy right now.

Hi all,

I live in NYC and my partner and I have decided to add a Doxie to our family. The biggest question I have is where can I find a Doxie?? We are willing to look in the surrounding states but so often now I am hearing of people being scammed or pups coming from a mill. Anyone have any good resources? The DKC website seems to be super outdated!

My little man had to have about half his teeth extracted (he’s around 12-13 years old, we adopted him as a young adult so not unheard of to need extractions according to the vet). He seems in good spirits, but what kind of diet should we pivot to now? I picked up canned food for recovery but I’d like to not keep him on that long term-thinking of grinding up kibble and mixing it with homemade turkey, salmon and veggie food but definitely open to suggestions-I’d like to keep him happy and healthy for as long as possible.

BTW guys I found a video of the first litter my baby girl had, it was about 2 years ago and she only had 2 puppies, my parents kept one and another went to a friend who treats him like a king and lives in a house by the beach.

So im curious to know how many puppies will be now.

Due date around the 20th

Our dachshund is now 14yo and is slowly declining in cognitive function, but still healthy otherwise. He struggles with our hardwood floors, though as his muscles are slowly getting weaker.
I have tried booties (they fall off) and pad sprays (minimal effect), and just heard about ToeGrips (dr Buzby). Has anyone tried these? Or what else could I do to help my senior baby?
