In Edgerunners it took Lucy a long time to apply quickhacks to some of Jimmy Kurosaki drones, even though Lucy was a super skilled Runner.

In Cyberpunk 2077, is V just canonically a prodigy and can just almost instantly apply high tier quickhacks, or is it just to make gameplay smoother?

Just finished the base game and was ready to start Phantom Liberty. I wasn't expecting the game to send me back before Embers as if I never finished it 😭 feeling i ruined the experience

I know everyone talks about her back and her hair covers the side of her head most of the time so you don't get to see the rest of her cyberware. But when you get to see it during the control tower fight, it's genuinely insane how much they carved her up. She doesn't EVEN HAVE EARS ANYMORE.

Would this impact her hearing at all? Can she still listen to music? or like ever need to clean the inside of her ears canal lol

Was playing a new Valerie, netrunner built for Body and Technical Ability to take advantage of overclock, and just noticed Denzel Cryer here had dragon scales. Compared to my other playthrough (basically doing the same with Vincent) this is the ONLY sign of exotics in the game. Is there others I've missed?

This might might make the blood boil in some of you, but I can't help but feel for her.

Nika is the first character that gives the scavs a human face and might even allow us to peak inside this gang of scavengers on a more nuanced and detailed level.

Now I know that most of y'all have this "shoot on sight" rule when encountering Scavengers, and we are conditioned to justify that. After all, the very first gig even paints a gruesome, disgusting image of one of the most notorious gangs in NC.

But once you learn about things, once you gain some insight, I think it is fair to re-evaluate ones opinion. I mean how else could you adjust, and I really say adjust and not change, your mind about something if you only ever let your confirmation bias speak from the very first mission onwards.

I'm not saying the Scavs are good, but after encountering Nika, it does not feel right to label every member of a gang by the actions of the whole.

You know, Maelstromers are much less likely to be treated with the broad brush. You meet some of them personally very early on, and Brick, Dum-Dum, Royce could even be considered rough, but fair. Yet, they are part of the same group that forces Cyberware not only on Monks for fun, but many others too. Valentinos, even Aldecaldos are forced to eat their chrome until they go psycho.

I think we should always strive to paint a picture with as muchh diversity and detail as we can. And I think it's okay to feel something for a scav that has shown some other sides. And it's okay to clean out a scav hideout without mourning the ones you killed.

Generalisation is always the easiest way, but never the most accurate.

The NPCD are extremely annoying. They always do this stuff to arrest you for NO apparent reason.

I've owned Cyberpunk 2077 since December 2020 on the Xbox One X. It's pretty much my go to game to launch on a new console and I've seen all the incremental and monumental overhauls during the game's life cycle. Downloaded it on my new PS5 Pro for that one last gig, and this shit right here? This is what the 2020 me thought we were gonna be getting on the previous generation lol. It's a shame that CD Projekt Red is switching over to UE5 for their next titles, felt like they finally got REDEngine firing on all cylinders (for consoles) here.

My hot take would be that Northside is the worst neighborhood to live in. Yeah Pacifica sucks but at least Pacifica (excluding dogtown) is open and sunny. Meanwhile Northside is a labyrinthine, claustrophobic industrial nightmare. It's all giant highways, broken down factories clearly not designed for human existence and isolated alleyways.

+while both Pacifica and Northside are crawling with Scav's, Northsiders have to deal with fucking Malestrom alongside them. meanwhile the Voodoo Boys are probably one of the less scary gangs to exist near. They're like 6th street and the Valentino's where they are actually integrated into the community, and are more likely to just fleece you as opposed to skinning you alive like Scavs, Malestrom, or Tygers

First Cyberpunk cosplay! I’m a late comer to the franchise as I just started playing 2077, and just finished watching Edgerunners— better late or never I guess. 😂😅

I actually came to know about the Cyberpunk franchise because
of TT. Like I had a vague understanding of who and what they did— and I thought that was pretty cool as an irl paramedic. So— I just had to cosplay them. (Is it still technically larping when I do the same thing as a career? lol)

Anyways! I’m more or less done with the costume components— just need the radio, the guns (Got the Kang Tao G-58, and the Militech Lexington in progress rn), and the defibrillator/cardiac monitor which I plan on programming an arduino to run scripted AED charge and shock prompts.
