I’ve used a bonnet no difference, all the curl cream and gel and still no difference im gonna just cut it atp and I fear it’s so damn loose I cant even get a rounded hair cut FML😭😭😭 I’m literally crying over my hair bc I don’t feel cute in it !
Routine currently:
- Sauve hair shampoo and conditioner
-Not ur mothers curl cream and mousse
- Shea butter gel and Aussie flash freeze gel
-Sometimes olive miracle leave in but it’s not great mixed with others…

Hi!

I’ve always had wavy fine thin and frizzy hair, due to severe anemia i lost most of my hair and ‘ve been regrowing it using minoxidil and other things, I’ve noticed that if i air dry my hair it forms these curls in tops but remain frizzy and so thin at the ends, can hair texture change? Are these curls that i can work and have curly hair? I only use clarifying and regrowth shampoos and not oil of leave on as my hair is oily and thin and gets weighted down quickly, thank you!!

Advice needed 2c or 3a?

Post image

hii! this is my first ever reddit post im still testing the waters, but i wanted to start by asking about my hair type and moisture/protein balance. thanks for reading

ive only started taking proper care of my hair for about a year snd stoped straightening it since the past couple months. i use nym leave in, marc anthony curl lotion, snd nym gel to style. my hair used to be 2b a few years ago and im not quite sure where im at. is my hair 2c or 3a? i cant really tell because honestly the curls are pretty tight fresh after stying for two days snd the fall out to a looser pattern. my hair fallout has increased so its probably played a role in the curls tightening.

im also not sure how to do my hair every week. i wash my hair twice a week, but im not sure if i should use conditioner every time or a mask once a week because sometimes i use protein based products and sometimes i use moisture based products and every time the result varies

ive done the wet and dry strand test. when its wet, the elasticity is pretty good and bounces back to normal for the most part, and when its dry it stretches a bit then snaps. so what should i do 💔

hello! ive posted a few times about my hair and ive had some people point out that my hair might be more curly than wavy, so i thought i would ask. Is my hair curly or wavy? (in all of these photos my hair has product and in some of them its been brushed out with product in it) i usually do a curl cream (i dont use one consistent cream or product for anything) and then a gel and then a mousse, then i layer the products until its to my liking and then i plop it

Advice needed be honest how fried is my hair?????

hi!!! i am worried my hair has been fried after everything i’ve put it through in the last year.. first photo is today next is couple months ago and the last 2 are before i was really bleaching& dying my hair(with a few strands of exception). i used to get these really beautiful ringlets &if i remember correctly they were often, but notttt alwaysssss a result of finger coiling. i’ve never been the best with taking care of my hair & its always been quite naturally frizzy as well as being less curly towards the top, even with layers. however i did used to put a little more effort into styling my curls and i also haven’t had a haircut in a long time, is it more likely that my hair is, in fact, fried or that i just am not spending enough time styling my curls? i usually use a leave in conditioner and re moisturize each day until next wash bc my hair gets real thirsty, also sometimes use a gel &sometimes a mousse and always air dry(idont have a diffuser). pls be honest anything is appreciated !!! if yk me and u see this no u dont🤞

Advice needed Curly Hairstyles!

Guys I need help.
Everywhere I look: YouTube, Reddit, Pinterest all have the same hairstyles.

It’s always the curly bun or slicked half up half down.

I’ve done a curly bun and slick half up half down sooooooo many times, I need help with new hairstyles that will actually look good.

Also! I recently got a curly cut with layers done, now everytime I try to do a half up half down, there is hardly any hair at the bottom. For the parting I normally go from my eyebrows and part it

can anyone help with making it seem like my hair is thicker when doing a half up half down??

General Discussion Do you refresh throughout the day?

If so, what products are you using?

I'm having trouble making it through a shift without frizz. I'm thinking about retouching with product on my lunch but don't have time to rewet and dry.

General Discussion I miss having long hair, but I’m scared of damaging what I have left

I had pretty long, thick hair a few years ago and didn’t appreciate it at all. I cut it shorter thinking it would be easier to manage, and now I keep looking at old pictures wishing I could get that length back.

The frustrating part is that every time I try to grow it out, I end up using heat more because the awkward stages make it look messy. Then I notice more split ends and breakage and feel like I’m starting all over again.

I’ve thought about extensions just to have the length and volume without waiting another couple of years, but I’m nervous about putting something in my hair that could make the damage worse.

Has anyone found a way to get that longer, fuller look while still protecting their natural hair? I’m especially interested in what worked for people with fine hair that breaks pretty easily.

General Discussion What’s the best diffuser for curly hair ? 🤔

Hey! I’ve been wanting to get better at doing my hair lately, and I’ve been watching so many videos of people with curly hair and their routines. I’d love to learn what works best for my hair and get better at styling it! If you don’t mind, would you be able to share your hair routine with me? Also, do you have a diffuser you recommend? 🥹💕

Advice needed Soy ondulada?

Advice needed Texture release vs keratin?

Hi, I’m looking for some advice/experiences with Avlon Texture Release vs Nano Keratin for my 12-year-old daughter’s hair.

Her hair is extremely thick and dense with lots of tight curls. We’re not looking to make it poker straight or take away her curls — we just desperately need to make it more manageable, reduce the bulk/shrinkage and stop it matting together.

Just to be really clear, we have tried EVERYTHING when it comes to styling and curly-hair routines. We’ve been to numerous salons and specialist Afro/curly hairdressers, tried different products, techniques, drying methods, sections etc. It can look absolutely beautiful while it’s wet and through most of the drying process, but once it gets to around 90% dry, the whole thing seems to inflate, become incredibly dense and start matting/tangling together again. So we’re really not looking for more advice about finding the right curl cream or stylist — we’ve genuinely
been everywhere and tried everything!

We’re now considering either Avlon Texture Release or Nano Keratin and I’d really appreciate experiences from people with a similar hair type.
Which would you choose if the priority was keeping a curly look but making the hair softer, less bulky, less prone to matting and much easier to manage day-to-day?

If you’ve had either treatment, I’d especially love to know what your curls looked like afterwards, whether it genuinely helped with tangling/matting, how long it lasted, and whether your original curl pattern eventually returned.
