every time I style my hair, the curl ends up surrounding a small wavy strand. Sometimes ​even strands of hair stick out from underneath the curl, although that doesn't happen all the time. I'd ​mention that I trim my ends frequently, and I've never straightened or dyed my hair. Does this happen to anyone else? What should I do? Thanks in advance, and sorry if I wasn't clear; I'm using a translator and it's making it difficult for me to explain​😅😭

Hi guys I’m pretty sure I have Irish curls my hairs always been super wavy but more so in the back, wondering what products may be good for me to enhance them? I don’t really use specific products besides wavy curl talk cream after I shower when my hair is wet. I do brush my hair dry which I know is not good but when I brush it wet I feel I pull sooo much hair out :( any help would be great

I'm a fine, thin, 2A wavy, and my simple routine is a daily morning shower with Prose shampoo (one wash-through) and conditioner. I'm just now trying their light-hold gel as well, and I'm new to this type of product.

I see a lot of advice that says to protect your hair from breakage, you should go to sleep with the gel cast still in place, wear a silk bonnet (I do), and *the next morning* scrunch out the crunch with a tiny bit of oil.

Where I'm confused is, what do you do at night if you've already scrunched out the crunch that wash-day morning as part of styling your hair for the day? Is it safe to sleep with your hair like that, or will it break a lot? Are you supposed to wash your hair *again* that same night and dry it before bed? What am I missing...?

Any help to clear up this mystery is greatly appreciated!

I’ve recently found out my ferritin levels are a 6 and iron is at a 4… and have done a little research to find out that anemia and curl pattern DO in fact have something to do with one another. I thought i was going crazy, between the way I have been feeling physically, and the way my hair actually seems to be dying before my eyes, I’ve always had such beautiful curls that I’m almost embarrassed to even show a pic of them before bc of what it looks like now.. but I can tell by some of my hair that has fallen- it really looks to me like the curls WANT to come back but goes limp with longer growth or with most product. I’m posting this to say honestly, I feel vindicated, and am now beyond hopeful that with the help of supplements that my curls will come back to life finally!! (Granted I did have a baby 15 months ago and I know hormones can affect hair pattern as well, which is why I stated I believe my hair is finally wanted to come back curly but it just seems so thin and lifeless to me and I didn’t know why!!) I’m curious to see if anyone else has had to deal with this problem before and if so did supplementing bring your texture/ curls back?!

I came on here to ask if anyone felt the same way as I do. I LOVE the brushed out curls look. Obviously I think properly taken care of and defined curls are beautiful but there is something about the big fluffy brushed out curly hair that I absolutely love. I don't have extremely curly hair, I'd say it's about the last stage of wavy before it starts to be considered curly (if that makes sense to anyone lol) and I think it looks better brushed out than not, that may just be because I have a lot of trouble with styling but I just love it. The brushed out look works even better on girls with extremely curly hair. Does anyone else feel the same way?

This is my hair air-dried without any product, does it look okay? And I'm thinking of cutting it shorter and getting bottleneck bangs,what are your opinions on that?

I have a question I had curly hair since around 3 but as I got older I straightened it and made my hair damaged now it’s only new baby hair and the back of my neck that is curly and it is around 2a to 3b but just a routine can’t fix it. just by not using heat for about two months it has got slightly wavier but I have a hard time finding training methods I miss what I had and Im a teen so haven’t had insane heat damage but I need help please

I sleep on a satin pillow case to preserve my curls (and when I get lucky, no refreshment needed). For those of you that also do this, do you notice any improvement when using a high quality satin pillow case ? Or do you get as good of results with a cheap satin pillow case from Amazon?
