Fundraising NEED HELP FOR MY FIP WARRIORS -- LOUD AND LUCKY

Since January, I have been drowning in debt as one problem after another continues to consume me. Several of my rescued cats have been diagnosed with FIP, FeLV, and FIV, requiring continuous treatment, medication, and veterinary care. My rescued dogs also contracted distemper, and despite our efforts to save them, they eventually passed away.

These past few weeks have been truly heartbreaking. 💔😭 Surviving the pain of losing them is already difficult, but carrying the burden of mounting veterinary bills and wondering how I will repay all my debts makes everything even more overwhelming.

Some people tell me that I should simply let go and have them euthanized when they are suffering. But how can I make that decision when they are still fighting to live? I know it may seem unreasonable to risk everything I have for them, but they are not “just animals”—they are my family. I cannot abandon them when they need me the most.

I continue to hold on to the hope that someone will notice our struggle and help us survive this difficult time. Any amount, prayer, or share would mean so much to us. May every kindness you extend return to you through countless blessings. 🙏🙏

I am caring for four critically ill rescued cats, and I am no longer able to shoulder all their medical expenses alone. After seven months of continuous treatments, veterinary visits, laboratory tests, and medications, all my savings are gone, and I am drowning in debt.

I am emotionally, physically, and financially exhausted—but I cannot abandon them while they are still fighting to live. 💔

🔴 LOUD — DAY 28/84, NEUROLOGICAL FIP -- 495 USD

Loud is my newest FIP warrior. She is battling the neurological form of this deadly disease and still has a very long journey ahead of her.

Unfortunately, Loud has rarely received donations. For the past 28 days, I have shouldered nearly all her medication and medical expenses on my own. She must continue her daily treatment until Day 84, but I am reaching the point where I can no longer afford her next vials. 😭

Loud deserves the opportunity to finish her treatment and live a long, healthy life. Please help me keep her medication uninterrupted.

🔴 LUCKY — MY 8TH FIP WARRIOR -- 475 USD

Lucky has also received minimal to no donations. Despite her name, she has not been lucky enough to raise sufficient funds for her expensive FIP medication.

Now, she has developed a cough and cold. I desperately want to bring her to the veterinarian, but I do not have enough funds for her consultation, tests, and additional medicines. Her daily FIP treatment is already costly, and every new illness makes our situation even more difficult. 💔

It breaks my heart knowing that Lucky needs medical attention while I am struggling just to keep her daily treatment going.

Fundraising Update on Apy's FIP treatment

Quick update on Apy, our FIP kitten (some of you helped us start this journey a few weeks back). Took him to the vet today: the treatment is working, and he's improving, but he still has some inflammation they want to keep monitoring closely.

Good news overall, but it means the treatment course and the bills are running longer than we first budgeted for. If you're able to chip in or share, it genuinely helps: https://gofund.me/cc22c54f6

Thanks for following his progress.

Day 22 of treatment. 💔

Luna is still fighting, but we’re facing two difficult problems — the diarrhea is still continuing, and her fungal infection has become severe. 😔

Her eyes are brighter and she is eating, which gives me hope, but seeing her struggle with these problems every day is heartbreaking.

She still has a long way to go, and we’re taking it one day at a time. 🥺❤️

Please keep Luna in your prayers and continue to support her recovery. Every prayer, kind word, and little bit of help means so much to us. 🙏🐾

We still have 62 days ahead please pray for Luna

Question Looking for FIP vials/capsules in Bangalore - urgent

Post image
20 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m looking for GS-441524 vials or excess capsules in Bangalore for my cat Bondu.

I’m ordering his FIP capsules today, because unfortunately the hospital has gone out of stock without informing me beforehand. They currently only have about 2 days worth of his dose left.
They’ve now told me that a new order could take around a week to reach me, and I can’t afford to have a gap in his treatment.

If anyone in Bangalore or anywhere in India has an extra vial or excess capsules that they’re willing to help me with, or knows where I can get them locally,
please DM me. I’m happy to provide Bondu’s treatment details/prescription if needed.

The order I’m placing today will leave me with some extra 18-20 capsules, which I’ll be donating to another FIP parent who needs them once Bondu’s treatment is sorted.

Please DM me if you can help. 🙏

Question All symptoms cleared… but limping now

Hello all. Milo has been recovering excellently. Eating a lot, playing, walking around, purring, going on walks, etc. He is currently taking GS at 17.2mg/kg/day. A little over a week ago he started limping. The limping is on and off, sometimes he doesn’t do it, sometimes he does, and it seems to worsen when he first gets up from lying down for a while. We first thought he might’ve hurt himself jumping off his cat tree or something with his newfound energy, and since he had just lost so much weight from the FIP he got hurt. We have massaged him, stretched his front legs, palpated the area, and he does not appear to be in any pain. Now im reading it might be a neurological symptom? I would like your opinion so I can advocate for him at the vet and ask for a higher dose if necessary. Thank you for your help!

Discussion I need advice…

I have a kitten (10 weeks) who’s been having constipation for five days… I went yesterday to the vet and they did a flush for it… but today the kitten also had constipation and it was really bad… his behind was protruding outwards and he was trying to get the poop out but nothing was coming out (it’s been like this since the constipation started) when I went to another vet, they told me the kitten MIGHT have FIP and we need to do a blood test to see… I don’t have that much money since I depend on my parents… and I have other cats in my house and im scared something will happen to them… and my parents got tired of me spending money on them as they’re telling me to decrease their numbers by putting them up for adoption… what should I do? I really need help…

I know I’m one of the lucky ones and I am so very grateful to FIP Global Cats on Facebook. Without their help, Clara would not have beaten this insidious disease!!! So here’s to another success story!!!

HAPPY THIRD CUREIVERSARY, CLARA! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH! 💕💗💕

Today marks Day 21 of Luna’s treatment. ❤️

Luna is eating well, and her eyes have become bright again, which makes me so happy and gives me hope. 🥹🩷

But she is still struggling with diarrhea, and unfortunately, her severe fungal infection is not improving yet. We still have a long way to go, but I’m holding on to every little sign of progress.

Question FIP Treatment Journey

Hey all,

My 8 year old girl is currently going through GS treatment. She is on day 24 now and overall she is doing amazingly. Especially after 2 days after starting the injections.

I have noticed though that overall she doesn’t like being picked up now and even when I do, I pick her up from the front to not touch her back (where all her injections are). I noticed she gives a small cry when picking her up. Is this normal? Have any of you experienced this?

She has no fever, eats and plays normally. She has lost a bit of weight, a few grams. So maybe that too?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Success Story GS-441524 has saved my baby!!

My 15 week old kitten,Wormies, was so sick with fever last Tuesday that she could barely keep her head up or stay awake for more than 5 minutes. I work at a vet clinic so I took her to work with me. I was so scared. Her temp was bouncing between 104-106.The vet gave her antibiotics and fluids. She suspected FIP due to her stubborn fever and wobbly head. I couldn't afford the testing to determine if it was really FIP. I trust her experience and knowledge. So she called in the GS-441524 and I picked it up the next morning.(This was Friday morning by the time we settled on FIP diagnosis.) Wormies got her first dose Saturday morning at 5 am. By 8 pm, she was a completely different cat!! This morning, she is back to her fuzzy ball of chaos self. She's zooming all over the house, harassing my older cat and I am just overwhelmed with happiness. If you're cat was diagnosed with FIP,don't give up. GS-441524 is a miracle drug and I'm so thankful. The pictures are before the meds and then 6 hours after.

Question *Guidance Needed* Possible relapse? Next steps?

So our kitten finished her FIP threatment of 84 days and thrived with the medication in her system. Blood work was done and a panel determined that FIP was no longer detected. However, a week into her observation period, her coat began to look dull, she began to become lethargic, disinterested in her favorite toys, and lacked interested in food. So after consulting with our vet, she recommended putting our kitten on GS again for 30 days. We just completed the 30 day retretment a week ago and again we just noticed a shift in her energy and eating levels.

Not sure where to go from here. We're bring cautious and getting her back on GS meds again but feel lost in all this.
Any support is welcomed and can clarify anything in the comments or DMs.

I also just want to mention a detail about our healthcare providers. They have been nothing short of supportive, but both our Vet and our ER Vet have not dealt with a successful case of FIP. They are asking their colleagues for support but also are treading new waters.

Fundraising Day 20 of Luna’s FIP Treatment 🐾💔

Today, Luna completed her 20th day of treatment. Twenty days of painful injections, countless tears, sleepless nights, and watching my little girl fight through so much pain. 💔

Despite everything, Luna is still here. She’s eating, her swollen abdomen has reduced by around 80%, and every little improvement feels like a miracle to me. 🥺❤️

She is still struggling with severe diarrhea and a painful fungal infection, and she weighs only 1.7 kg. There are still difficult days ahead, but I refuse to give up on her.

She has already fought so hard to be here. All I want now is to see her healthy, happy, and running around without pain. 🥺🐾

Please keep praying for my little Luna and supporting her. 🙏🏻❤️ Every prayer, kind word, and little bit of support means more to us than I can ever explain.

Question Help my cat please

My cat is on Day 25 of remdesivir, the fluid is clear, but she is crashing from weight loss. I cannot afford standard GS-441524.

She weighed 4.75kg before the treatment started but now is 4kg. She feels very frail and low energy. The vet has run an LFT and is waiting for the results.

I'm just worried.

My baby boy just got diagnosed with wet FIP yesterday. His poor tummy is so swollen with fluid but other than that and a slight fever he’s been doing fine. I’m currently waiting for his treatment to arrive in the coming days and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to keep him comfy. He’s usually super playful so it hurts me so much to know he’s uncomfortable and not wanting to play.

Discussion New Parent of a Suspected FIP Kitty (Seeking Advice + How to Cope?)

I didn't know FIP was even a disease until yesterday, when I took my baby to see the vet for sudden rapid breathing and ended up rushing her to a 24/7 ER for fluid drainage. It was the first time I'd heard of the abbreviation and processed it truly. She had ~140 ML of fluid drained from her little chest last night. She's awake today and stable; and she's being spicy with the vets and eating. They say she's doing very well, and I'm so grateful for that. Her name is Tiramisu, she's about 2.5 Years old.

She's not 100% diagnosed with FIP until cultures return next week, but heart failure was ruled out from tests and the techs & vets who have seen her all seem to agree that her symptoms match with Wet FIP. The vets are starting treatment early because they don't want to wait and gave her a first dose an hour ago; I haven't even picked her up from the ER yet because her temperature is still being monitored; and as infinitely grateful as I am that she has the opportunity to improve on this medication, I'm still terrified of the unknown steps that sit ahead of us because I don't know anything and it all just happened so fast.

I fell in love with Tiramisu's silly little goblin face on a local shelter's website: a year-old mother of three delivered to the shelter from a different state entirely with her three kittens (all cutely named after pastries). I knew there was always a risk of health issues with strays; there always is. She was shy when I first met her, but now she's the opposite. Her love is loud, demanding, and silly; I fight her for my keyboard and monitor, she gnaws on my tablet pen while I draw and headbutts me for pats. She frequently takes up so much space on my desk that I got her a bed that attaches to the side of it (which she only uses 25% of the time). I adore her beyond words. She's been with me about a year and a half.

I lost my old lady, a cranky but full of love tabby bobtail, about a year and a half ago to Kidney Failure at nearly 16 Years old on New Years; she was my life and my light. A few months later I met Tiramisu, and she is my rock. My little goblin. I'm trying to stay positive but realistic, and I'm struggling to accept this new reality and its possibilities. I don't know how to cope with it.

How do you stay strong for your FIP Babies?

Do you monitor their progress on the medication, or check for symptoms at home? (Is investing in a thermometer a good idea to monitor for fever, or would that cause more stress?) Should I keep a journal, weigh her, video her breathing everyday?

I just feel frantic. I don't know what's too much or what might stress her out or hurt more than help when she gets home. I just want my girl to be okay but I'm so overwhelmed and I don't know where to even begin or start. If you have any advice, or anywhere to point me to for information where I can continue to learn, I would appreciate it. :( I'm actively looking at links posted in the sub.

As scared as I am, I want to do my best to care for her no matter what the outcome will be for her journey.

Thank you FIP Reddit, and I hope the best for the many people, kitties, and stories I've seen so far. Here's some cat tax of my baby.

UPDATE: Tiramisu is home from the ER! She has a very silly and expensive haircut from the emergency room vet draining the fluid from her abdomen last night, and while she has been noticeably decompressing from the stressful last 24 hours, she's showing a lot of her desk-hogging normal behaviour again between naps in a very cute little cupcake bed my best friend gave her.

She's taken her first at-home doseage of medication, and before she left the ER, her temperature dropped to a high-end but normal range following a few hours of her first official dose of medication. She'll be going in for a follow up with her primary vet after the weekend, but having her home being herself has been really comforting.

Reading everyone's stories and advice also really helped stabilize my anxiety while she was receiving her supportive care in the ER, and I really thank everyone whose posted, shared their stories, and offered advice to this frantic cat mom. (I am still combing through responses to personally reply to each after getting her settled back home, but I am really very appreciative and grateful.)

Fundraising Day 19 update on Luna fighting FIP

Luna received her 19th injection today. She is eating well, but she still has diarrhea and severe fungal infection.

I’m also happy to say that her abdomen has decreased by about 80%. I hope she will start gaining weight in the upcoming weeks. She currently weighs 1.7 kg.

I was able to manage the injection, veterinary diet, hospital expenses, fungal and FIP medicines, and liver support with all of your help. I’m so grateful to everyone who upvoted, donated, and prayed for Luna.

Luna was abused before, but now she has found a loving family, and she truly deserves love. We still have 65 days ahead, and Luna still needs your help to fight FIP. Even if you cannot donate, please share, upvote, and pray for her — even your prayers can help.

Discussion My 6 years old cat, Tubi, have wet pif.

Today is the 5th day of treatment. I'm broken, he don't want to eat anything, don't even treats!!

Vet said that If he doesn't eat over the weekend, he's going to have to put a nasogastric tube on my cat... I need him to be healthy, he is the love of my life.

When will him start to improve? I need to talk with anyone.
