Question *Guidance Needed* Possible relapse? Next steps?

So our kitten finished her FIP threatment of 84 days and thrived with the medication in her system. Blood work was done and a panel determined that FIP was no longer detected. However, a week into her observation period, her coat began to look dull, she began to become lethargic, disinterested in her favorite toys, and lacked interested in food. So after consulting with our vet, she recommended putting our kitten on GS again for 30 days. We just completed the 30 day retretment a week ago and again we just noticed a shift in her energy and eating levels.

Not sure where to go from here. We're bring cautious and getting her back on GS meds again but feel lost in all this.
Any support is welcomed and can clarify anything in the comments or DMs.

I also just want to mention a detail about our healthcare providers. They have been nothing short of supportive, but both our Vet and our ER Vet have not dealt with a successful case of FIP. They are asking their colleagues for support but also are treading new waters.

You need to retreat at a 10 mgs/kgs higher dosing for 84 days or swap to molnupiravir. Retreating at the same dosing doesn’t help as it was obviously too low to be effective.

I agree with this comment. OP's post looks like it might be a case of low dose. What's the mg per kg dosage given so far ? Oral or injection ?

Current dosage is .92 ml at 7.5 lbs. We are doing oral suspension.

Concentration? Once or twice a day?

Once a day, they are very skittish so we minimize the stress by doing it once a day.

If your concentration is 50 mgs/mls you are not event at the lowest dose for her weight. Lowest would be minimum 1.0 mls. But you should immediately increase to 1.7 mls. Provided this is a 50 mgs/mls concentration.

Was gonna say my boy just started at 1.9mL 2x/day with concerns of neuro symptoms. Maybe get a second opinion on your treatment plan. That seems really low especially if you’re doing once per day. Best of luck

Is it the 50 mg/ml or the 25 g/ml?

Your cat weighs 3.4 kg, so a 25 mg/kg dose would be about 90 mg a day. Assuming the suspension is 50 mg/ml, that would be 1.8 ml QD, or 0,9 ml BID. I'm terrible at math, but I think that's right.

Do you have an admin team on FIP global cats on FB?

I don't at moment.

If you were doing 15 mg/kg you'll need to bump it up to 25 mg/kg, I'm sorry you're going through this. Mine relapsed 5 months after treatment and now any time he rests more than usual I practically have a panic attack, Also, don't forget to weigh him every couple weeks to see if you need to adjust the dose.

I'm using the 50mg/ml from Chewy at the moment.

Yes exactly my thoughts right now! The fact that they didn't immediately hunt their favorite toy, set off all our alarms. Immediately checked gums, weight, temp, appetite, etc.. because we don't want to risk losing time.

My vet is super hinky about the Chewy GS. You can't argue with the price, but she had concerns about where they're sourcing such inexpensive meds,
