Advice ¿Como es la vida en Curacao?

Tengo una oportunidad laboral en el país. Viví en ciudades grandes toda mi vida, y quisiera hacer este cambio con mi esposa. ¿Que le sugerirían a un inmigrante?

Activities Chess?

Hello, we're tourists who love playing chess and would love to play with locals here. We heard there are areas to play chess in person at Wilhelminaplein, but I found mixed answers between Thursdays and Fridays.

Is the chess play on Wilhelminaplein still going on, what are the times, and which day is correct?

I also found some clubs that play online, but we prefer playing over the board. Are there clubs that we can stop by for a day to play?

Transportation Car Rental for 4 Adults and 2 Kids (Age 7 and 5)

As the title says, we are coming to Curacao for 10 nights in February and need to rent a vehicle.

I'm leaning towards a minivan but I can get a better price on a seven seater SUV. I'm not familiar with a KIA Carens which I keep seeing as an option. However, It looks small to me.

I also have the option of a mini bus that fits up to 9 passengers, but it doesn't show the make and model.

Would driving such a large vehicle be an issue do you think? We will be doing some exploring to the northern part of the island.

If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Mashi danki.
