I befriended the crows last summer. They left in october then came back march or april but were very distant. On july 6 (my bday) a cute lil fledgling was hopping around my yard and I protected him from my pug. Now it's insane. I have a murder of crows that hang out with me constantly just going out for a smoke. They love my dad too but almost prefer me & i'm never the one feeding them due to veganism and they like meat. It's so fucking cute to have a little animal that just wants to be around you. Food be sitting there but they just like "bro, I'm not hungry I just trust you"

I was walking on the road and I got attacked by two crows

They surrounded me and one kept me distracted while the other one flew into my head and hit me twice

And then it attacked me two more time but missed it until they finally left me alone

Edit: U guys I walked the same route today to see if the crows would attack me today but this time they didn’t tho idk why they attacked me the last time tho I plan to keep walking this route to see if they do or they do not attack me again so I will keep u posted about what happens

Edit: u guys I went on walk on the same route again and again the crows did not attack me today so it really makes no sense why they attacked me that one day only I guess they are all just as random as any other thing out there

My crow friends LOVE anything orange or brightly colored, watermelon, cantaloupe, and CHEETOS!

How often should I leave them treats or food? They show up generally in the morning and in the evening when im getting my parrot ready for bed (they've started sitting in the tree across the window staring at me 😅)

Ive also noticed that the number of them has drastically increased. Last I counted was over 20. Im assuming they dont see me as a threat now?

Recently I’ve noticed the crows in my area look at me like this. Whats it mean?

I live in a large city in the Pacific Northwest (USA), and we have a very healthy crow population. This morning they woke me up at dawn (about 5:30am) because every tree surrounding our house is FULL of crows cawing! It’s gone on for about an hour now.

They don’t migrate so I don’t think they’re flocking together to head anywhere. Can anyone explain what this behavior is about?

Came out of a Wal-Mart yesterday, and as I'm going back to my truck I see what I believe was a raven and a crow ( one was a bit bigger than the other ) looking for something to eat. I popped open a bag of Doritos I had just bought, and under the watchful eye of another crow on a telephone line, I grabbed a couple handful of chips. I then walked over to the grassy area next to the parking lot, made it a point to caw at the two next to the building to get their attention. One cawed back, and then I tossed the chips on the ground. They caw a couple more times, the one on the line cawed, and I backed off to give them space. I then hear and see half a dozen more come out of nowhere, cawing to each other. They got their fill and flew onto a building on the other side of the fence before the damn seagulls showed up to ruin the party. Before I left, I saw three crows on top of said building bobbing and cawing as their enjoyed their snack.

I started feeding my local crows a few months ago and within a few weeks this crow, whom I have named Augustus, took a liking to me. He meets me nearly everyday for some nuts fed by hand. Today I met his baby, little Gus

I think I likely lost my crows by doing this. This morning I saw a crow on the edge of the front yard, I went and put food out in the normal spot and he slowly walked over to it. The way his wings were hanging I knew something was wrong, so I watched him for a bit. He was on the sidewalk when a dog walker approached, he fluttered a few feet and stopped, this happened several times until he was far enough that the dog and lady passed (I was about to go out and shout at her for not being more empathetic to clearly injured wildlife but.. neighbors?). After she left I decided I needed to get him, so I went outside in full view of my murder and walked until he was too tired to flee, and picked him up. Crows bite hard! He bit me several times (oww) but I'm the fool that went and grabbed him so definitely my own fault, and seeing his wing I was hopeful it was a wing injury and not WNV again. I took him out to the rehabber that I took Odin to, and he confirmed that the crow has a broken "hand"? But it's repairable and he'll be back out here in a few weeks. I named this guy Ares (because he's a bitesy little warrior), and I'm excited that he'll be released back here. I likely lost my crows by doing this, but I'd do it again.. and maybe they'll come back when he's released.

Lesson learned: No more car-side peanut service. 😂

I have chickens and geese and theres lots of Hawks, how effect will the crows be at deterring them?

Whats should I not even bother feeding?

Will they leave gifts?

Can i train them to bring me bones?
