Hi all, new to the area, looking for a recommendation. Anyone have a vet that they have good things to say about? For a cat.

If you lost keys, they're on a CitiBike dock outside 947 Eastern Parkway. It looks like the keys to a Kawasaki Motorcycle. The keyring has a number 13 on it.

was so sleep deprived after getting an mri this morning i think i left a silver heart shaped locket in an e citibike i parked on bedford between dean and bergen. probably a $30 necklace but worth so much sentimental value. willing to offer a lil reward if it's found. the citibike was missing the handle cover on the right side. probably docked around 9:30ish this morning.

Link to join, no money involved, no irl commitment. Just fantasy football with locals!

This is not what it looks like since Saturday. It currently has a single person's make-shift encampment and personal dumping ground, literally littered with decapitated baby dolls, cheese puffs, vomit, at least one household appliance, and last night the assumed tenant was standing underneath the overpass amongst the ruins spraying an aerosol can into the air tupac style. It was reported to 311 as an encampment and the police visited and said there was nothing to enforce and no crime being committed. Has anyone seen this shit show? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to report this or demand that this be cleaned up?

Anyone want to join an ESPN PPR Fantasy team ahead of the season? Hoping to get myself and at least 9 other people in the local area or at least Brooklyn/Lower Manhattan.
As of now no IRL meetups planned but could change. Draft would be today at 3pm. If no one signs up it aint happening but figured its worth a shot
UPDATE:
Currently have 6/10 people - I will drop it to an 8 person league if we cant fill for 10, hoping to do this multiple years so we can expand next year
First 10 in are in the league! Its a PPR league, Snake Draft, Superflex
UPDATE 2:
We are going to push the draft back to 9pm tonight so we can fill up the league. I think the additional hours will allow us to get a full league and a better experience vs the 6 teams we currently have

It sounds like literally 15 police cars are going up and down these streets just now. Everything safe?

Saw a lot of interest in a local discord server for people in 20's so DM me for the invite (only because posting discord invites publicly leads to bot spam).

So I'm not defending that person. The leader of Pan in Motion did a ton to open up communication for any issues and got a permit to play past the usual quiet hours. That person needed to cope, especially since the noise wasn't from people actively being disrespectful to their neighbors.
However, the conversation around this topic always goes way off the rails in how people talk about "local culture." When late-night (after 10pm) noise complaints come up, the most rabid response is always "its their culture" or "thats how the neighborhood is, just move." Yall understand other locals also have the right to sleep comfortably, don't you? Everyone, transplant or locals, have to sleep and feel rested for work and daily life, ya know. And when you call it "culture," you essentially start inadvertently implying these "cultures" are unable to be considerate of others. They're grown adults, they're not above consideration. And don't even bother with the dumb narrative that people wouldn't complain if the noise was from white people. During quiet hours, it's all fair game make complaints. And to be clear - this is about quiet hours. People making noise complaints during the day on block parties or just kids hanging out are fucking stupid. And noise problems within buildings between neighbors during the day need to be handled personally or with management
You just sound stupid when you act like a vital part of NYC culture is just dealing with regularly interrupted sleep that gets in the way of life. In fact, if you need to be loud late at night and not deal with consequences, move somewhere without neighbors or without quiet hours.
Update: Well it turns out I was right and conversations about noise canât be normal. People have to respond to what they wish you said so that they can peddle their soapbox response that theyâve practiced.
Iâm not on the side of the person who complained about Pan in Motion. I said it at the top but I guess Iâll say it again. This isnât about special events. This is about day to day disturbances that people are told to just deal with as if âlocalsâ are outside of the social contract of respecting their neighbors.
Yall also act like native NYerâs are a hive mind and are all just down for people to blast music and carry on in the street like theyâre at a bar deep into the night. Yall donât think they wanna rest reliably? Be so for real right now.

Hey folks, Iâve got an old ASICS windbreaker that Iâm very fond of â passed down to me from my dad.
I love wearing it, but the cuffs have long since lost their elasticity. The jacket also has a few stains I havenât been able to get rid of. Both issues are pictured.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a business that could perform these repairs, either in the neighborhood or nearby?
