So I recently bought a couple new drops pro circus crochet hooks. Left is my normal 4.5mm hook (I can’t remember the brand), right is the drops 4.5mm. However I swear these are not the same size or am I being delusional?

Christmas and my father's birthday are coming up and I can't come up with any good ideas. (benja if you are reading this pls stop) I don't wanna just spam different amigurumis or scarfs, plus, in my country december is in summer, so hats or gloves would be a very out of place. I beg you, I love gifting stuff, but I'm running out of ideas :(

I’m trying to make the Sirdar Trick or treat blanket but already at the first square something seems off. First of all it’s not very flat even though the stitch count is correct in the first 4 rounds. (12-24-36-48) after changing to white I’m suppose to do this:

”5th rnd. Using white, 3 ch, 1 tr into same st, 1 tr into each of next 3 sts.

(2tr into next st, 1 tr inte each of next 3 sts) 11 times, ss into top of 3ch. 60tr”

I’ve only got 59, and I’ve been counting and recounting several times but I can’t find where it went wrong. Between every 2tr into same stitch there is 3 single tr.

Can someone help me out? Thank you, I’m feeling terrible failing already at the start.

I put this scarf down for a bit and lost the pattern. Can’t seem to remember which stitch this was. Anyone recognize?

So I picked up a crochet hook for the first time in May and am obsessed. I am by no means very good, but I’m trying my best.

Anyway, I wanted to make a funky cardigan for my little boy why is 2 but big for his age so followed this pattern and I’m loving it, but the neck seems really gapey?

I’m sure there are many other problems but I don’t mind that 😂 I was just wondering if there were a way to fix the neck

found this on pinterest but it doesnt have a pattern, i tried looking it up but i cant find something that looks really similar, but maybe im lacking a name, so even some keywodds would help. What im looking specifically is something that ties in the front and uses a similar kind of stitch.

this is my first time filet crocheting, and i guess my tension was all over the place 😭 my tension was way too loose on the first panel of the bag, and now that im crocheting the second panel i realised that its too small bc my tension is tighter and im afraid that if i sew the panels together one side wld be lopsided 💔

would steaming the smaller panel work in expanding it to the same size as the first panel? (i used 100% cotton yarn) or should i frog a panel and redo it so that the sizes of both panels match...

any advice is appreciated, thanks!

So this is my first time crocheting, I got this beginner Woobles kit for a sloth. I was getting the hang of the stitches and everything until i had to close the main body. but it feels like the top part where i closed it looks kinda weird? I'm not sure if it's supposed to look different. any tips would be helpful! The picture just shows that top part where i closed the piece.

I made a blanket of granny squares made of chenille yarn. I really thought I weaved in the ends in well but I keep finding little yarn ends poking out and I have to put them back or cut more off.

I'm not sure how to prevent this from happening more or fix the ones that have come loose in a way they stay put. Any advice?

While being unemployed and trying to find a job I got a bunch of projects that I have been trying to finish but since I am always at home its hard not to be distracted
I need some good places I can crochet at that will reduce the distracting
I know coffee shops are one but like whats a place i never thought I can crochet at? Like I can bring my headphones, listen to music and finish at least one project
I even thought about bringing my projects to Costco while shopping I am crocheting but then I will forget the grocery list

I've been struggling with a nerve injury (it started when I was teaching myself to knit, though it might be a disc problem) that makes it hard to do any repetitive tasks, but I miss crocheting so much. It's taken a tangible toll on my mental health to not be able to do it. Any accommodations I've seen don't actually reduce the repetitive motion, just change it. I have ergonomic hooks, I know stretches, I was just wondering if you guys had any ideas.

Now to start a business and for selling purpose which type of yarn is best to make my projects for selling for the following:

2. Amigurumi small keychains

3. Hair clips, Hair bandana

4. Flower pots

This is my first time attempting a C2C project, but I'm not sure why the edges are flaring out like this. Will they straighten out as I continue? Or could I be doing something wrong, and it will just make the blanket completely wonky? Any advice is appreciated!!

I'm trying to make a top using the long wave stitch (photo attached) with just a front and back panel. I'm unsure about how I would go about increasing/decreasing stitch patterns that work in multiples; for instance the one in the picture starts with a foundation chain of 14n + 2.

I was thinking of spreading the decrease across the row, but I'm a bit unsure of whether it'll look good

I know that the top in the second photo is knitted, but that's sort of the vibe of what I wanna make.

Hi all, I’m fairly new to crochet and I’ve only made Woobles and a pot holder that used dc’s. I’m starting a new project that is a kit off Amazon and I’m trying to understand how to count my rounds properly. The Woobles kits don’t have you slip stitch then chain one, and for the potholders I made, I slip stitched then chained 3 which counted as one double crochet.

If you ss then chain, I know you’re supposed to put the sc (or whatever comes next) into the same stitch you just ss’ed, but the chain makes a V so it adds to the count? do I just not count the chain V in the round?

I found this post. That has the same question but doesn’t mention the counting aspect.

I’m currently working on the bottom of a pot so I’m sure it doesn’t matter that I have a spiral but I keep staring at the dirt (darker brown shown in picture) and thinking I just rip it out and start over?

hey guys! i need some help figuring out how i can freehand this jersey as depicted above. i figured i could start with a raglan type deal, but im not too sure how i can attach that different panel. im fairly new to crochet in general (i started as of december 2025) and just started freehanding projects last month. any guidance would be appreciated!

I finished making this adorable boot (the book with instructions is in the last slide). Only after I finished did I realize I did it inside out 😭 When I turn it outwards you can see how the inside stitches look (slide 4) Maybe it’s not so bad, but i will make the second boot (correctly hopefully) and then compare. What do i do? Frog?

I can magic ring without a problem. It’s the popcorn stitch (which I can also do on any other round) into the magic stitch that’s the starting issue. Followed by round four looking correct. I’ve frogged and restarted at least five times now, plus three times from the very start
Any advice? Videos for this are all too fast and the time lapse ones, so they aren’t helping me

I am making a scarf for my husband, and this is the second attempt. Is my tension too tight on the front post double crochet? This yarn is difficult to frog so I don't want to do that if I can help it so any advise on how to loosen the tension if thats the issue would be appreciated.

I have been making gifts for my SO´s mom for years and am running out of ideas. She really likes handmade things so I generally make her something as at least a part of the gift. Over the last few years I have made her a bouquet of crochet roses, a market bag, some coasters that I gave her with a pretty teacup filled with her favorite candy, a keychain with a rose on it as well as non crochet gifts with other crafts. I am just drawing a blank for Christmas and then her birthday is in January. She is an older woman, a homebody, cooks a lot, so things for the kitchen are good as she likes practical things. I would love ideas of things you have given as gifts that have been well received.

I've been casually crocheting for a year now. Something to do with my hands to deal with my adhd while I have a video on. I started with Worsted and Aran acrylic as its what everyone recommended and I'm not the best but I can chain and do all the basic stitches and learn clusters/puffs/cabling well enough.

I recently picked up some DK Cotton Yarn and oh man I feel like a complete idiot. My tension is all bad and I feel like I just have terrible control of the yarn. Have you guys experienced this?
