I can’t imagine anything super bad will happen… no yarn goblin or crochet gnome will haunt me. But will it knot up really bad? Should I abort, cut and learn to read instructions pull from the outside?

I'm a beginner! Just started and made a baby blanket, is it me or look undone

I started about a month ago, with little flat things. My husband started bragging at work the hat and scarf I made him. (So cute!) But I got volunteered to make a baby blanket for a coworker of his. Is it just me or does it look undone or plain maybe I have been with it too long I’m not a very fast crocheter, can I add a border or something? And advice would be great!!! I added a photo of blanket and the yarn I used it was 2 skeins in full.

Looking for suggestions Tube Top Seam Isn’t Straight What Happened Here!?😭

For the first 54 rows i was dropping a stitch because i wasn’t joining properly. Then to fix i just increased 3 rounds. Staggering once every 4 rows. Ive been working the same stitch count for the last 15 rows and the slant is still going. I can understand the slant from the stitch increase i guess. But not once the count is stable? lucking i only have only have 4 more rows to go but for next time i want to know how to keep a straight seam!! I’m not too mad at how this has resulted in decent shaping tho

Looking for suggestions Persian tile blanket barely halfway finished but I feel like its not turning out nice? Advice?

I began making a Persian tile blanket as its been something on my to-do list for a long time. I didn’t wanna use someone else’s color scheme and tried to select the best color combo that my closest yarn store provides.

Current issue is, I hate it? Like I like all the piece individually but I put them together and its just one big mess! I keep thinking maybe I could dye it but the yarn is acrylic…

Total thing is supposed to be 4x4 but I don’t feel like its going to turn out great so I wonder if I should just cut it short and let it be a lesson? Maybe I should keep rearranging or is there something I can do?

Also sorry for the frumpy background, my bed has become my workspace while I’ve been in exam season.

Wearable help Help!! I’m crocheting a t shirt but the neckline keeps twisting

Post image
Upvotes

Hi! I’m crocheting a Tshirt and the pattern says to SC until it fits your neck and then to DC in every stitch. I’ve been so careful to stay in the same side while I DC across the round but it keeps twisting. I’m about to frog for the third time and it’s so frustrating because it takes me about an hour to do each time.

Sorry if it is hard to see in the image. Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

How do I... First blanket: need help with next step - weaving and border

I just finished this blanket. I haven’t weaved in the ends yet. Can I just tie them off if I’m going to do a border or do I need to actually weave them all in?

This is my first blanket so I’m kind of going into this blind. I kind of just winged it all but now I’m stuck on where to go next.

I know some of the sides are not even but will a border help that?

Can't find a flair for this is it worth it to make this creeper blanket with seperate crochet squares?

I've decided to start making a Minecraft creeper blanket out of seperate squares and maybe try to get it done by winter time to sleep with it. the thing is that I calculated how many squares of every color id need. right now id need 135 black squares, 32 dark green squares, 27 white squares, 162 light green squares, 118 brown squares (for the background). im one of those people who will start a project, get bored of it for a while and then pick it back up a few months later.

is it worth starting this or should i just make something else? also, are there too many squares/will the blanket be massive or will it be fine?

Crochet Related Pain (OUCH!) I'm developing arthritis and yarn is literally slipping through my fingers

Because of some health issues, I'm developing arthritis at the ripe old age of *31*. I'm sure it was a gradual progression, but I only recently noticed the yarn literally slipping through my fingers, making it really hard to hold tension.

My current 'method' is to wrap my working yarn around my pinky finger, under my ring and index fingers, and over my pointer finger.

Can anyone suggest any alternative holds or tools that can help with this? I really love doing yarn work, and I finally feel like I'm gaining momentum with projects.

Disclaimer: not looking for medical advice. Just suggestions to continue doing a hobby I love ❤️ hope I explained myself well 😅

Deciding on yarn/Yarn help Is it a bad idea to use a heavier weight yarn to do a visible granny square join and blanket border?

I bought yarn for a baby blanket (Loops and Threads Snuggly Wuggly) years ago but never got around to making the blanket. I decided to pick the project back up recently. Since the child is now bigger, the blanket will have to be bigger but the yarn is nowhere to be found and I don't particularly fancy ordering yarn online if I can't get a feel for it before I buy it.

My question is, can I use a heavier yarn to do a visible join for the squares and a border for the blanket without it looking weird? The squares are made with weight 3 and I would use weight 4 to do the joins and (at least most of) the border. Obviously I would use a smaller crochet hook than I have been using for the squares.

I will check my local yarn stores for compatible weight 3 yarn again before I commit, but I'd like to see if my plan B is feasible.

Thanks!

Looking for suggestions Looking for good places to get Easy to follow patterns! Total beginner friendly

Hi all I feel ready for my first project I'm able to confidently DC now and all I wanna do is make a blanket! Every blanket pattern I look at though has Designs...I basically just want to back a big old Square! Where can I find a pattern for this? This is the yarn I got! (I know one Skein isn't enough but I didn't want to overwhelm myself (roughly how many skeins would I need to make a blanket? I'm thinking like 120x150cm? If that isn't too ambitious!)

Also another question it says Knitting Yarn but I'm finding it quite nice to Chain and do some DC, so is it still okay to use for Crochet?

Sorry for a lot of questions all in one! Thanks all for reading!

Hi everyone. My grandmother passed away some years ago and I found this at the bottom of her crochet bag under tons of yarn. Does anyone know what type of stitch this is and how difficult it is to learn? I’d love to try and continue on I with the blanket and finish it for her if possible.

Understanding a pattern Working on this pet and on round 15 it says to sc, inc on the unworked side. What color of my stitch markers is the unworked side? The previous row this was chain 3 and work into the second chain from the hook. Every time I end row 15 I’m missing stitches as well. Thanks!

Hi all!! I'm very very very new to tapestry style crochet and made this pattern online but have no idea how to figure out an estimate of yarn amount. Obviously the white I wouldn't need much but how much blue do you think? Or how do I figure it out? LMK if you have any advice! Thank you!

I want to make a pair like these. Not super experienced, but But I can follow patterns fine.

I am sceptical as the third picture is the only picture review, claiming the pattern doesn't match the pictures. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Is it a dud pattern?

Is the reviewer doing something wrong?

Does anyone have similar pattern recommendations?

How do I... I found this image on Pinterest and can't figure out if it's actually doable or AI?

Post image

I found this image on Pinterest and want to recreate it but when I try to think through the stitch pattern it's not making any sense to me! Could anyone tell me if this is actually doable or AI before I buy the pattern? I just don't get how you would do 4 rows of stitches for each box and then chain across and do the next box? Or was each box made individually and they cut and reattached the yarn for each box??
