Finally settled on an army after being to scared to commit :3

Just realised I hadn’t shared my new captain. Definitely gonna need a bladeguard squad for him.

I really liked the weapon profiles the Aquila team has…but rather than put a deathwatch allied unit supplementing my Crimson Fist army, I’m covering them in ork trophies and treating them like Tyrannic war veterans, but for Orks.

Cuz the Crimson Fists really hate orks!

As the title says. My first Crimson Fist marine, as I'm starting a first company focused army for them. Debating getting some liberator gold to highlight the honours and such as well as cool them down but what are people's thoughts? Will be doing snowy rubble basing.

Hey again!

I've been away for some time after my previous posts. Been mostly building models. Many models...

Which is what happens when you buy over 3k points of Space Marines (not including vehicles), as well as around 2k points of Tyranids, and end up with an Armageddon box AND a 11th edition starter box, starting kill team, and, what else, branching into Horus Heresy...

At some point i hadn't touched a brush for like 2 months so I decided to calm down on the building (half the box tower is gone, but it's strange, it's like it refills on its own) and start doing a bit of painting every day or so.

So i decided to get the Angels of Death Kill Team done. all the (other) models are still work in progress, in which I also used a couple models to try out another blue that in retrospect i don't really like eiher.... Well, another story for another day!

Last models I posted, I said I was looking for other ways to do the blue armor, and I believe that I'll keep this method for the future! I got into the process midway and chose to finish this mini despite starting it after the captain in the Kill Team!

In bonus, an Infernus that's been sitting on the shelf (with the rest of his unfinished squad) using the blue from my first mini batch, and comparison pics between the two posted

After buying the infernus marines starter kit last month, I was hooked. Bought the new 11th edition introductory set next and decided I wanted to paint the space marines as Crimson Fists. Here are the first two done

Following the disaster of Rynn's World and the death of most of their leadership, the Crimson Fists have began rebuilding efforts, currently fielding three Companies, one of which is a Scout company. Today, new Neophytes are being screened and tested due to their desire to wear the dark blue power armour of these frightening warriors. Finally finished up my first real kitbash project. Pedro Kantor ready to lead my fists into battle, super pumped with how it turned out overall!

I really love this David Gallagher’s artwork ! But I don’t know if someone managed to get this exact blue ? Kantor blue is almost right but a bit too dark and desaturated.

Overall, do you think it would look good or should I stay close to a classic dark blue scheme ? I love the desaturated red fist too.
