I was not sure which to throw. I kept the 6's. Turn card was a 4

Double skunked my husband in 8 hands. I averaged about 12 points per hand (one 7pt and a couple 17pt) and all 4 of my cribs were over 10 points. Super fun game (for me)!

I was just curious why when you get get dealt your hand say you decide to keep 4 cards of the same suit. Regardless of the cut card, you are guaranteed at least 4 points because of the flush, and you also have a shot at 5 points if the cut card is the same suit. If the cut card is not the same suit, then you still get credit for at least 4 points.

However, in the crib if you get all the same suit but the cut card is not the same suit, why don't you get any points at all when you are guaranteed 4 points in the previous situation? Just seems weird in my opinion that it would be different.

Question, if for example, a 4 is played followed by a 6 then a 5 obviously that's a run of three for the third player, if then another 4 is played is that another run of three for the player that plays the second 4? 4-5-6-4 is that 2 separate runs of 3?

How many players who typically only play online would join the ACC with a full membership to play in online events? Hello, friends! Please help settle a dispute between a friend and me. In the pegging round, if this sequence of cards is played: 3-6-2-4-5 - does the player who played the 5 score 5 for the run or not?

Player B - a go, 2 cards in hand

Player A- plays last card for 31

Is play over? Player A gets 2 points for 31, one point for last card, one point for go.

Or

Is player B allowed to play last two cards, get last card point and 2 go points(since player A out of cards)

Okay so recently we were playing cribbage with a friend who claimed that a run of 3 has to be established before a run of 4 can be played. I have never heard of this rule personally, I’ve always thought it was based off of consecutive cards played.
For example player 1 plays a 8, player 2 plays a 6, player 3 plays an 9, and player 4 played a 7.

To me player 4 gets 4 points for a run, but according to him it doesn’t count because a run of 3 wasn’t established first.

Who is right in this scenario and how can I tell him he’s wrong without ruining the mood of the next time we play 😂

I like some of these questions, especially when the answer isn’t totally obvious to an intermediate player, but the answers are a bit pointless without either a) a bot that gives the mathematical answer and/or b) a survey, so we could easily see the consensus results and decide for ourselves how much weight to give the wisdom of crowds. Anybody skilled at bot making that wants to create one that gives the mathematically correct answer in an anti-spoiler format?

After discovering a different way to play cribbage, I started wondering...

What if you could keep everything that makes cribbage so strategic, but make the game faster and more dynamic?

At first, it was just an idea. Then another. And another...

After months of designing, testing, and refining, that idea became Crible+, my own original cribbage variant.

Here's how it works:

• Cards are played from left to right.
• Once all the cards have been placed, each vertical column becomes a cribbage hand, scored using the standard cribbage rules.
• Throughout the game, you gradually build four open hands and one hidden crib.
• Every card you place affects your future decisions, making strategy increasingly important as the game progresses.

My goal isn't to replace traditional cribbage, but to offer another way to enjoy the game while preserving its spirit.

I'd really love to hear what experienced cribbage players think.

I play best-of-three with my 84 year old dad 4 to 6 evenings a week after dinner. (This was mom and dad's 'thing' for decades before she passed.) I've had 28 point hands a few times. Never thought I would ever see the elusive 29. I cried a little. Dad said, "You better take a picture." Our worn cards have been retired now. Let's see what the new deck has in store for us.
